How about other months? What is the best month? i really would like a destination beach wedding, but everytime I look at videos (not pics) it seems like its too windy and everything like your hair, vail and sometimes the dress is flying all over the place during the ceremony. Is is just because it depends on the time of the year or is it really always that windy? considering it is by the beach LOL. am I being unrealistic with my expectation with regards to a beach or gazebo wedding? We are looking at getting married at Dreams. Also one more thing this question might sound stupid, but was there any mosquitos during the night outside reception? thanks for the response in advance. I have been in Cabo in January/February and it was not that windy, but did get a little chilly at nite (a light sweater was perfect). I think Cabo is the perfect place for a wedding, but if you want the sun I would shoot for aFebruary/March wedding. The time we were there in January I remember it being a little cloudier/cooler. But no rain
  3. welcome to the forum. Happy planning!!!
  4. welcome to the forum!!! Cabo is a great choice - it hardly ever rains there. That is heavy on my mind b/c I just posted to a thread on rain at your ceremony. Happy planning!!!
  5. i think there is something inherently wrong with weather.com's forecasting process. They are consistently wrong, so I would not take their forecast as the end-all be-all. Is the rain in PV an all day sort of rain or do they have passing storms that dissipate quickly? Maybe you could lob a call/email to someone at LC as they would have a better idea of the weather there. Good luck, thought I am sure that everything will work out perfect
  6. We are not doing a garter (i hate those things) and no bouquet toss! I may present my bouquet to my mom. She can keep them in her room for the remainder of her vacation
  7. Morgan, I thought I was obsessed. Two was the most i ever had open

I was scared because you know how they tell you you have to try things on becasue what you likemight not look good on you or you might not love it in person? I was absolutely smitten from the moment i met her....it's a dream come true
  11. welcome to the forum!!! SO glad to see another Bay Area bride here!! You are going to save a boatload of money by moving your wedding outside of SF - it's crazy!!!! I nver thought about having a wedding in SF - I can barely afford to live here I think Mexico is a really great option since (I presume) most of your guests are in california? Cabo is really easy to get to as is Puerto Vallarta since they are on the pacific coast of Mexico. Best of luck planning!!!

You have to consider that when looking at prices. if you are getting a CD of your images, you will save a lot of money after the wedding on prints so you can budget more for a photographer. Most photographers will make a custom package for you so if you don't need all those extras you can skip them & either save money or get more photography time. I totally agree ith morgan here. The most important thing to me was the digital negatives. Everything from there is extra. And most photographers will work with you on custom packages. Good luck!!
