I would take it to the local Honda dealership. Did you buy it brand new? Because if you didn't there might be a recall that you and the mechanic are not aware of. I think you might be able to search that online too....that is the recall. In my 99 Accord during the cold weather I could not lock the doors... one time I spent 30 minutes in a downtown Philadelphia parking garage trying to lock the doors... Long story short, but I had to crawl out of the trunk......ahahaha! But that was better than taking the chance of my car being stolen or broken into! But I would go the Honda dealership if I were you... Good luck!

I am getting EVERYTHING done before the ceremony! All the portraits and family pictures since our ceremony and reception are in the same house and we are not having a formal sit down dinner it's an informal buffet cocktail reception I want to be able to just relax and mingle. Plus being that I am a professional photographer.... I must say that any wedding that I have shot where the bride and groom have decided to see each other before the ceremony for one reason or another have worked out fabulously! I actually recommend it if there is going to be light issues after the ceremony. I'm not a very traditional person so I have no problem with us seeing each other before the ceremony, it'll be nice because we won't be rushed and will be able to take our time!

I know I was looking at stamps the other night! I think I am going to do a few different stamps considering I need $1.06 on the outer envelope. I am going to do 2 Louis Comfort Tiffany, 2 American Clock, 1 Chippendale chair. I think that should do it! Then just the "wedding" stamp for the RSVP envelope.... Good looking out Minde!

What song are you walking down the isle to
Dbld78 replied to stacey's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
Very good question! My uncle is going to play the guitar while the guests are taking their seats, processional and recessional... but I keep going back and forth as to which song! I love the movie "The Jerk" and I love the song that Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters sing while on the beach "You belong to me" but it's played with a mandolin. Another thing is I LOVE MUSICALS, and I think that walking down the aisle to "Edelweiss" from "The Sound of Music". I could really go on and on.... -
I'm glad to see that everything went so well and that you had a blast! Judging from the pictures in the other thread it was some party! Congratulations and I can't wait to see more pictures!

Let me give you my professional opinion.... Being a professional photographer and graphic designer, I hate to tell you this....you should really have the HI RES images for any reproducing, even with the album. I personally don't think those prices are too bad! These are very detailed sessions... I offer my girls a package deal....but I have to have many girls... Hair and Make up 2 Hour session at a swanky hotel in downtown Philadelphia 100 Hi Res images with copyright release on CD $150 photo or album credit.... All for a bit more than what they are offering.... I would investigate some more photographers in your area.. Good Luck!

Awwwe that stinks! I went through a similar situation a few years ago.....I slid on black ice and crashed into some woods at 30mph! My car was totaled and I didn't have collision..... I got $500 from the junk yard for my car. Hang in there you'll get through it....

OK! So I've noticed lately that I feel as though I might be slipping back into my "coma". I called out of the studio today and could not get out of bed today! I am stressed out beyond belief, I'm completely alone for the next 3 months while Tim is serving his 90 day sentence for his DUI. The only time I get to see him is when I pick him up to take him to and from work! My mom's brain surgery was rescheduled again, they moved it from June 20th to July 9th! They were trying to wait until after the wedding but felt that if they waited something could go wrong between now and then! And while I have really enjoyed planning my wedding it is stressful enough and now having to deal with everything else on top of that is really pushing to my breaking point! Seriously, one of these issues ALONE is enough to throw someone over the edge! I think I am going to call my doc and get some stronger drugs! YOU don't want to get a DUI in PA! It's brutal.....a $50 bar tab will end up costing us 5 years of punishment and $15,000 when it's all said and done! Just a word of advice DON'T do it!

Tim's step mom is giving me a button from his mom's wedding gown that we are going to incorporate into my dress. It means a lot to me because I never got the chance to meet her. So having something of hers with me on our wedding day will be invaluable! Something new is my earrings. Something borrowed is another sentimental item, it's my mom's necklace that my grandmother had made from her rings from my mom's father who died when she was 2. Something blue is my wedding dress label that I had made for the inside of my dress. -
Where are you registered?

Any suggestions on how to 'register' for furniture?! We don't want them to think we want any one person to buy a couch or something, but more like a 'hint' that we are saving up for that stuff, know what I mean? I know this post is old but.... Macy's lets you register for furniture and so does Crate and Barrel. In fact I just registered for a kitchen table...lol! But we also asked for gift certificates from the furniture store that we've bought most of our furniture from. -
Wow Maura....that's a tough one! I didn't realize it was a cultural thing either. I would do what feels best to you, your FI might have a point that they may be aware of this custom... But if at the very least if you can't get through to them....I would provide them with snacks and such! But if this is something that they are aware of I'm sure they will be prepared for the long day. It's a tough thing....I always get pissed when I see the band eating all the food at the vendor buffet and they've been there for 2 hours and we've been with the couple for 7 and by the time we get to the food there's NOTHING left! That pisses me off! I have shot weddings were I have been given every course and some where I get a club sandwich, and I am perfectly happy with the sandwich, it just gets me when they charge the couples $65 for a measly club sandwich and bag of chips!
-
That's CRAZY and unheard of! The head table is supposed to be the first one. Exactly what I think about the vendor table...you don't want to be sitting there having to talk to people you don't know and be in a hurry to eat as well! Shooting weddings is NOT an easy task by any stretch of the imagination.... at least the way I shoot them, I don't want to miss anything! It's my job not too!

I think I can help here.... You ALWAYS want to offer food to your photographers and videographers! It is almost always in their contract! Really it's just a curtsey.... Every wedding I've ever shot has never been less than a 10 hour day with the bride and groom with NO breaks.... We don't have time for breaks....we are at your beck and call all day! Morgan is right if you've only contracted someone for 3 or 4 hours then you should be alright with not providing a meal! To address the not eating bit! That is ALWAYS the venue or caterers fault! They will feed us dead last and we will only have seconds to scarf down a meal forget tasting it, because you're about to cut the cake by the time we are feed! Venues especially CCs are HORRIBLE to photographers and videographers.... don't ask me why but it's true! Another scam... the "vendor meal" I think they charge you 1/2 price for the "vendor meals" and they give us a club sandwich and a bag of chips! Yeah and they charge you 65 BUCKS! So in conclusion feed them if you have them contracted for more than 4 hours.... they don't have to sit with your guests....I actually prefer not to!
