I think that's a really good idea. We are also doing parasols for our guests and I purchased half yellow and half white since those are my wedding colors. You could also maybe get your moms and sisters a slightly bigger parasol.

Yes the dresses go. I think any style or color of BM dress would look good with your dress. Since bridal gowns are typically white ususally you can be really creative with the BM dresses since many styles will go. Even better since you got a really awesome deal for such cute dresses. The gown is gorgeous too!

Jenny yes it can be done!!! My FI and I are doing just that. We are both catholic and really want to get married through the church but were torn when we found out a priest will not absolutely do it on the beach. Our parents were also pushing for us to get married through church. I even had my grandmother who lives in Mexico and is sooooo involved with the church try to find out but they will not do it. So....we are going to get married through the church 3 days before we leave for our DW. As a matter of fact, we are not even having a full mass. The only people that will be there will be my FI and I and our parents. I don't plan to wear my gown either, just a white suit or something and the ceremony will take place on a weekday at 4pm. The church we attend to is very popular with weddings and it would have been impossible to get a date for this year but I explained to them what we were doing and how we didn't want the whole ceremony and they were able to squeeze us in so just talk to your local church. Oh yeah, and we do have to go through the precana classes. We start our first class this Fridday. Good Luck!

Morgan, I think your plan is great! Thank you so much for sharing. I was getting ready to start a thread asking you ladies how you merged your money. We have been talking about merging our bank accounts but haven't really been able to get to all the details. From what we discussed our plan is very similar to yours. One joint account with each of us our own personal account. At first we talked about doing an equal percentage contribution to the joint account but I was starting to think it may not be the best arrangement. He makes waaay more money than me so I would have very little spending money while he would have tons. Besides I figured with an equal percentage deal he may end up with more "fun" money than he may need and that money could probably be used to save for our kid's futures and things like that. I like your plan much much better. Thanks!!
