Ok so I figured out the easiest way to give insturctions is to draw out what I did for the sandals. Now, I don't make jewlery nor am I a an artist so you have to forgive my humble drawings . There might even be a better way to make the triangle on the top but this is what I figured out when I was making them. I basically kept measuring the sandal on my foot as I was making it and that helped me figure out how many beads to add or to take off.

First of all.....32E! You are sooooo lucky I was initially going to wear a bustier but when my alteration lady saw my dress she suggested the cups. I'm only a B so it worked out fine. The point is that we were able to slip the cups inside the dress and safety pin them to give an idea of the type of support. If your dress is tight fighting, which most dresses are I think you may be ok. Besides most dresses have several layers of fabrics that also help give support everywhere. You can always get the bustier and if it doesn't work out with the dress return it after the fitting.

The only thing is that she doesn't have many pictures of her work on her web site. I think she does that so people don't copy her ideas since all of her invitations are custom made and they are all very different. She never does 2 the same. She was wonderful to work with. Thank you ladies for all your nice words!

I've had this picture for a little while but forgot to post it. After I realized how expensive barefoot sandals can be I decided to make my own. I got all my supplies at Michaels for really cheap. I didn't use the wire since I don't know how to do loops and knots with the wire. I used the plastic string...the one that kinda looks like fishing string. If anyone needs instructions on how to do the triangle on the top just let me know. UPDATE: I added instructions on the second page of thread

I Broke My Engagement Ring!!!!

Oh man that does suck! But like the ladies mentioned THANK GOD it wasn't the diamond that fell off. -
I call this my semi-DIY invitations. I found a fantastic lady who does invitations here in Houston and we worked together to create my ideal invitation. I basically picked out exactly what I wanted and she helped us put them together. We were origianlly going to make them ourselves but after I spoke with her and she quoted me a very reasonable fee and I saw her amazing work I let her take the job from my hands. I am soooo happy with the result. We wanted a very modern clean invitation. Even the wording is very different from your traditional invitation so I hope people like them. I just noticed you can see my doggies paws in one....she is so nosey....she has to be in everything I do

yes, call the alteration place FIRST!! I really wanted to get my dress altered at this one place that has a really good reputation for doing fantastic work so I waited 2 months before my wedding to call and they were booked for months. Needless to say I had to go somewhere else. Just call them for advice

New Rules of Weight Lifting for Women
monicaswave replied to Oscar_Ernie's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I regularly do body pump class which is a class of medium to light weights done with tons of reps. I really like the class and I do see muscle definition. I even feel sore after class. I have been curious lately as to weather changing my weight routine to heavy weights will create better results though. -

Hello ladies! I am so frustrated!!! I was trying to book appointments for me and my bridesmaid at the spa in the RIU Palace RM to get services done the day of the wedding and I am having problems: In my group we are having several hair styles, make up and massages done the day of the wedding and the spa wants me to pay for 50% of the services so they can make our reservations. Each girl is going to pay for whatever services they want done but the spa made a total of all our services so it comes out close to $600 and they want me to pay half. Was this the case with you too Is this how it is normally handled? I just wanted to make appointments and then have each girl pay after their services. I don't want to have to pay for half of it and then have to ask my BMs to pay me back.

DO IT!!!! There is nothing wrong with that these days. People will totally understand! It's your day and you should have your closest people next to you. -
I am not an Azul Bride but I am having my honeymoon there in Nov. We are having a nonresort wedding so we are staying at a different hotel for the first few days but right after the wedding we are spending a few days at the Azul Sensatori. I will be there Nov 20ish. My TA just took a trip there about a month ago and said the place is unbelievable. She highly recommended it. We are big beach people and she said the beach there was great. I will post pics and review as soon as I go

I decided to give my BMs gift certificates to the spa for the resort we will be staying at. I will give each girl $75.00 so they can get either their hair done, make up or a massage if they'd like. This is also a good way for us to have a "girls day" while getting ready for the wedding. I want to put a cute little saying with the GC. You ladies are so good at this so I need your help. So far I have: "Thank you for standing by my side, here is a gift to get pampered with the bride." I'm not sure if that sounds right.....anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!
