The majority of our guests will only be coming for 3 to 4 nights so it makes it more economical. I think our 3 night package is costing my guests $850 per person.
  4. I'd be curious to get ideas too. I really want my future SIL to be a part of the weddign too!

    Hi!

WELCOME TO FORUM! You will find tons of good info here.
  6. Thank you everyone for all your replies....I think I get it now. I guess if we were doing an annoucement on the newspaper or something like that it would be nice to have the pics done. I don't think we have much use for them so we might opt on skipping the pictures, but I do think many of you had really good ideas of what to do with engagement pictures. Besides like many of you said I may have a hard time making my FI sit still for some nice pictures....I could just see him making funny faces the entire time.
  7. Hey Becky!!!! I am so glad I am not alone!!!! I am totally addicted to buying swimsuits and I browse everyday at least once a day for deals on ebay for them. I keep telling my friends to keep me away from swimsuits cause I always buy sooo many. My FI gets mad at me cause I feel like I need a different swimsuit for every single day we go on vacation and I really do. I recently got a brand new VIX swimsuit on ebay for $40....that same swimsuit retials for $160. Just be careful when buying online.....if you are as panicky as me make sure on the description it says the swimsuit still has the hygenic liner attached. I once bought one that didn't and although they advertised it as brand new it smelled like chlorine..... I returned it.
  8. I consider myself really naive when it comes to all this wedding stuff so please fill me in. People keep asking me when are we going to get our engagement photos done. Well, I am not really sure we are getting any done so I was wondering what other brides are doing. I don't really see their purpose so I'm a little confused. We have tons and tons of pictures of the two of us together. Besides, we will be getting married at the beach so we will have tons of beautiful pictures with gorgeous backgrounds to look at. What are engagement pictures used for?....are they just casual pictures of you and your signinfact other hanging out? Am I missing something? Thanks!

I am undegoing the treatment right now and my specialist told me there is not such thing as permanent hair removal...even with laser. She said ALL treatments require some form of follow up. Do you at least have noticeably less hair That would suck to go through all that and spend that much money and not get the results you wanted.
  10. Oh my what a headache! Thanks for the warning too though...I will make sure to code mine when I send them out.
  11. I am not having my wedding through a resort so I am not in this position. We are staying at a resort and most of our guests will stay at the same place but not everyone. If I had to pay for day passes for my guests to come to my wedding I would pay for the tab but not sure what the norm is.....sorry I guess I'm not much help with this.
  12. OMG! That is awful. Thank God this didn't happen right before your wedding. I think if that happened to me right before my wedding I would totally shave my head and wear a wig.
  13. So sorry to hear you are going through this but don't be stressed because you still have some time. I think the most important thing is weather YOU like them. It sounds like you are not super thrilled about the dresses either but would rather keep them becuase you don't want to deal with the stress of finding something else. Why don't you hold on to the dresses for now as back up. Head over to David's Bridal (like one bride said), Macy's, Dillards (they usually have a really good selection) and pick a dress with all your BMs. My BM dresses are from David's Bridal and they only cost my girls $100. If you don't find another dress then go to your nearest department store and have your girls buy some spanex undergarments. They can work wonders! If you do find something don't worry about the return. I order from VS all the time and many items do end up fitting different than on the models. I do plenty of returns to VS.
  14. I didn't even know it was part of wedding etiquette, but then again there are sooo many parts of what you should and shouldn't do that I really don't know much about. Sorry I guess I can't be much help but I doubt we will be getting our parents a gift since we are paying for the entire wedding. I like a nice card and maybe a book made with the pictures idea.
  15. Yari, I am so glad your FI is ok but what was he thinking

I may have to copy you and try to achieve that goal as well. I'm not a hard die runner but I also enjoy to run. I do go running about 3 times a week and love how it makes me feel. If I'm having a bad week I feel so much better when I'm done. If I'm angry or stressed out, it really makes me feel calmer after I run. I recently started taking my hyperactive Jack Russell running with me and she loves it. She's a little 12 pound dog but she has enough energy to pull me the entire way. I can't seem to run fast enough for her. It makes her less active when we are back home too. Last year I did my firts Sprint Triathlon and I loved it! For those of you that mentioned having past injuries that stop you from doing long runs you might want to consider Sprint Triathalons. Since your training consists of running and biking as well you are not putting as much force on the same joints and muscles as you would if you were only running. Sprint triatholons are usually about a 300 meter swim, 15 mile bike and 3 mile run. The race probably takes about 1 hr to 1 1/2 hrs so it's not too bad (as compared to a full marathon). I'll probably sign up for a few Tri's this year so I can get in shape for the wedding ....after you do one it is easy to get addicted.
