Ctodd8, Iam getting married on July 3rd and I got my planning worksheet about 2 weeks ago. Reyna emailed me a 3 page document that asked about flowers, number of guests, restaurant choice etc. Since I emailed it back to her, I have been trying to get in touch with her. I have emailed her 2 or 3 times with no reply. I have also been asking if we are going to be getting married at the Del Mar/Beach or Lindo. We leave June 28th. I hope she emails before then!

BBtoB, When are you leaving for Mexico? I am leaving on June 28th. I wonder if we will be upgraded. Our wedding day is July 3rd. Maybe we will see each other. Have you heard anything form the WC or your TA? I wonder if you could get upgraded to the Grand. That would be wonderful. I wish they would let us know soon!! I just got my luggage tags done and they day Paraiso Beach all over them.

trevess, I really like canopy you used! The starfish were a nice little touch. Did you have to bring the white tulle? Was your dress ivory? Mine is. I was a little worried about it...after seeing your pictures I am totally at ease! Your pictures are great. Is there a link to the rest of them? I would love to see them. The wedding coordinators from the Beach/Del Mar have finally gotten back with me...it only took about 3 weeks. They sent me the wedding details worksheet to fill out...Any suggestions on the restaurant for our dinner? I was thinking either the Brazilian or the Steakhouse but the Tropical may work too. We are getting married on July 3rd. Do you think it will be too hot and uncomfortable to eat at an open air restaurant? Also, does anyone know if you can use the canopy that the Lindo has? I hate the arch that I have seen in some of the pictures.

Gail, That totally sucks that they have not been responding to your emails. I am on my 3rd email and they have not responded to me either. It doesn't seem like a very good way to conduct business. It would be nice if they would acknowledge that they are receiving the emails. Well, good luck with your planning...I am sure everything will be wonderful!

I have a few questions...maybe you girls can help me. I have been doing all of my plansand budgeting off of the price list that Gabriela sent me several months ago. Last night I was on the Iberostar website and the prices and options are quite different. My sheet said the Aqua Bar is for 20 people and online it said for 25. Then, there was El Puente for groups smaller than 20 online. I don't even know what that is. My group is at 18 right now. Some people still say they are coming but, I am not holding my breath. So I guess my question is what information should I be going off of and do you know what EL Puenta is? I have emailed the WC at the beach several times over the last couple of weeks. I think the swine flu has them pretty busy with moving and rescheduling weddings. Thanks!!!!

I have really been pushing it on the back burner...thinking it is all going to be very easy...just do it all the day I get there. Now. I am starting to worry a little. We are not doing the legal ceremony. We are going to do that when we get home. I really have my heart set on the new arch for the beach wedding. From what I read it may be a little tricky! The arch that they have now at the Del Mar for the beach set up is awful!!!! All I really care about is the ceremony. I am not stressing too much about the other plans. This is what I am thinking: 4:30 wedding 6:30 dinner at the steakhouse 8-10 happy hour at the aquabar...hopefully with a sound system from the resort.

I can't believe all of the discrepencies in the info. these resorts are giving out. When we piciked Iberostar s our resort over a year agoI thought it was going to be easy going. Everything seemed so cut and dry....now it seems they want to charge for every little thing and each wedding planner does thing a little different! I am just now really starting to plan. I had my guests RSVP by Feb 1 and there are still people who say they are coming yet, they still haven't booked. My wedding is July 3rd should I have my planning sheet from the resort yet? Do you think I should contact them or wait and be patient?

I bought my at amazon. I think 100 of the loops was like $7 and the tags I bought were the Advantus 75451 Proximity Badge Holders. They were like $15 for 50. I haven't finished them yet but, I do have all of the supplies. I am planning on ordering business cards from vistaprint to put in the badge holders. Hope this helps

We are thinking of some sort of martini party for our AHR. We are just in the planning stages...here are some of our brainstorm ideas: having a mash potato bar/martinis, some mexican hors d'oerves/beer, cheese/wine, and chocolate fountain with lots of goodies. We are planning to set up different food and drink stations. We are planning on starting around 7 with a DJ and dancing. Nothing to formal. What do you girls think?
