I just returned from photographing Heather and Chuck's wedding on Isla Mujeres at Villa Rolandi and it was fabulous! Heather and Chuck decided to see each other before the ceremony to get some great photographs around the island. Their wedding party joined us for the second half of our journey and it was a blast! Congratulations Annick! Consider Isla Mujeres for your wedding. It's a small island off the coast of Cancun. I was married there 3 years ago and have been to the island many times over the years to photograph weddings. It's a magical place and easy to get around for your guests.

Consider some of the British Virgin Islands as well. Tortola and Virgin Gorda are incredible. Where ever you decide will be incredible because you will be with the person you love and those friends and family who love you!!! Congratulations!!!

Isla Mujeres is a wonderful place to get married! Not only have I photographed several weddings there, I too was married on the island at Na Balam 3 years ago. I've been going to the island every year for the past 12 years and I always find plenty to keep me busy so your guests I'm sure will love it! Puerto Vallarta is a fabulous location for your destination wedding. Congratulations!!! There are so many wonderful villas and beaches to host your celebration. When I photograph weddings there I always recommend a day before session or trash the dress session too. There are so many incredible places in downtown PV for photos!! It's a magical place for sure! There are a number of different places to consider depending on what you are looking for and how many guests you anticipate coming. There is Zama, Na Balam, Villa Rolandi, Playa Secreto, Buhos Beach Club, Bonita de Isla.....there are many options! The best thing to do is take a trip there and visit all the wonderful venues. There are so many fun locations for photos too! The rocky cliffs of the south side, the colorful buildings in town and the beautiful beaches. All so incredible!!!! I'm so happy for you!!! You'll find wonderful ideas on this forum, but you should take a trip out there and see the places for yourself! First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Mexico is an incredible country and Secrets Maroma is an incredible venue for your destination wedding! I too was married in Mexico..on Isla Mujeres. As for your questions....flights tend to be less expensive to Cancun on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. My recommendation would be to try and travel on these days. Sites like Travelocity are great for comparing the cost of flights, but also check the airlines directly. Consider a travel agent as well. They may have deals you cannot find on your own. Whatever you decide will be wonderful and I am so excited for you! Congratulations again!!
