That is soo strange Maura I'm sorry that you're going through that! its terrible! We were having similar issues with our priest here at home but we haven't had any issues with Padre Juvencio. I've had a tonne of questions and have emailed about a dozen times in the last month or so. He takes a few days to answer back but eventually he does. On the phone I've got him every time and he always seems really sweet and eager to help (he even sent us a random email with recommendations on what books to read etc). Usually I call at about 11am Vancouver time and he seems to be around maybe try calling him then. I know he's been busy with Holy Week and Easter and all. Have you had him confirm your date and time at least?

I like # 2 just because its a bit more subtle. But they're both pretty.

I wish I could help. But you have some time...just email around. A friend of mine's sister (both based out of Toronto) got married in the Dominican. They had these guys shoot their video, and its so beautiful StillMotionBlog.com Trailers maybe they do photos as well? or maybe they know someone that they work with who does.

Actually if you do want to come visit and your friend can't accomodate, our condo building has suites for rent for $60/night...super cheap compared to most hotels etc... in Vancouver. The photographer lives pretty close by too, and mostly does shoots in this area. Just let me know -
Thanks girls! If I can do it anyone can...I'm probably as conservative and shy about their bodies as they come. I figured though that having my friend there will make it a bit more relaxed (I might have a secret stash of vodka in my hand bag though). I'm really exicted..and pretty nervous too. I've never really done anything like this before, but I think it will be fun. I'm counting on Karolina to have good photoshop capabilities, but I'm still kind of freaking out because she's used to working with girls that are pretty in shape Quote: Originally Posted by Sarah Congrats on booking your session! So for instance, you could take a layout on shutterfly that has room for one large image and 3 smaller images on the same page. Use the full original image as the large one, then 3 cropped images to fill in the smaller blocks. Does that make sense? I'm checking these out today! Thanks so much! I will ask for sure...she might! If not, maybe you can come out to Vancouver...do like a girl's weekend and don't tell your FI. It would be the perfect excuse. I posted her info on this thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t18392 if you have facebook she has a whole group with pics she's taken. They're really cool! Really sexy but still artistic and tasteful (at least I think so..lol) -

April 1st- Your mission if you chose to accept it- When you get home from work tomorrow, instead of throwing on sloppy PJs, put on something you feel cute in. Doesn't need to be sexy, just feel pretty. I figure I should keep it simple for day one. Don't want the men to think we are playing April fools jokes on them. I'm in! I think its a great idea! I seem to be doing ok with the workout one...lol so I don't see why not. Although, I change into workout wear right after work and hit the gym or the sea wall to run. So I might have to change into something pretty for the night time

I'm soo excited! (and a little bit nervous...ok alot nervous) After almost booking 3 other photographers my best friend (who I was afraid of telling my idea to for fear she'd laugh) recommended Karolina Turek a photographer in Vancouver who's work is published in Maxim etc... Her work is amazing!!! Karolina Turek Photography - Coming Soon! I love everything she does. So the date is set for July 6th! We're doing a whole day of shooting both indoors and outdoors. My friend who's a professional makeup artist will be with us the whole day to do retouch work and help with my hair. We'll pick 20 photographs from the ones that are taken and she'll do her majic photoshop and retouch (mine will need it lots). She'll also do high res prints of all 20 photos as well as give me a high res cd. My question to all of you who have done this is, how do I make a book out of only 20 pics? Will that be enough you think? She doesn't think that I would need more than 20 because apparently they're quite powerful. I am artistically challenged and I can't come up with any ideas as to how I can do this book with only 20 images? I suppose I can always do more if I have to later :S Also the prints that I will get from her are only 8 x 10 so I might have to have the book printed somewhere with bigger pages. Are there printing sites that I can use or programs etc...? Anyways if you have facebook Welcome to Facebook! | Facebook and want to see her group, just type Karolina Turek in the "groups search" and her photography group will come up. You can look at her pics there. I can't wait to hear what advice you all have

BD and Honeymoon Wear!
Ana replied to Ana's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Thanks her stuff is super cute! Actually, its funny because right after I wrote on here one of my best friends recommended a different photographer. She does alot of editorial work for Maxim etc... and her photos are awesome! So I changed my mind...lol! She's a bit more expensive but I think the quality of her work is great. We're going to do a whole day of shooting, and then we'll pick 20 photos that stand out the most for her to retouch in her studio. -
