  1. unfortunatley I believe Dreams is one of a kind. There is also the Riu which you can look at. Its cheaper, but its also alot bigger and less personalized. The quality you get at Dreams is in my opinion totally worth it.
  2. oh yey that's so awesome for Matt!!! As for the program I haven't done it but it seems like a good plan!!! I'm a big fan of running, its so good for your cardiovascular system keep us posted on how it goes!! I'm so proud of you!
  3. It was a mix of funding for ours, my parents gave some money, my husband's mom paid for some and we also paid. I don't really think there is such a thing as WHO pays for the wedding anymore.
  4. I think for the sake of your FI's relationship with his brother that maybe she should be invited to the shower. You don't have to talk to her. But being the bigger person in this situation is probably the best....I know its hard though
  5. hmm I've never heard of anything like this unfortunatley. I believe most people just have their groomsmen and groom buy/rent the suits and then bring them down to Cabo. But maybe you could ask the Dreams WC. I'm sure they'd know if there was a place to rent from.
  6. Our guests paid about $2200/per person for one week with flight included, so I think that rate seems pretty normal. Definitely contact a TA they will be able to give you a more accurate rate and will know all the good deals.
  7. Great review!!! Dreams is so amazing and I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Where are the pics?!?
  8. Congratulations!!!! your wedding seemed like such a blast and your wife looked beautiful! Great review!
  9. Some of the websites, like Orbitz, might have space because they have a certain number of rooms allocated to them. If your TA was booking with the hotel directly it might show up as fully booked because they have all their rooms spoken for. The resort was sold out during our wedding as well, and like everyone has already said it did not feel very busy. There was plenty of room and lots of chairs goodluck!
  10. wohoo I voted and they're in the lead still I hope they win!
  11. Hope you get engaged soon!! Use the search function in the top right hand corner and you should be able to find all the info you need. Goodluck!
  12. We had everyone meet us at the lobby bar first at 7:30pm I think, and then we all walked over to El Patio. I think we had to wait about 15min for them to set up our tables and area. I had given them a heads up though. In the afternoon, as we were heading back up to our rooms to get ready I stopped by and just told them that we were going to have a big group of people. They couldn't take it as a reservation but they did make a note of it and tried not to seat people in that area before we arrived.
  13. Everything looked so amazing!! I love the way the colors all worked together, you did a fantastic job planning Congrats hun.
  14. We had 36 guests I think, maybe 35 I secretly forgot...but either way we just went to El Patio as a group and they set up a huge long table in the back under the little lights. It was really pretty and worked out really well. They kepts alot of the tables around us free so that other people wouldn't get disturbed. It was no problem what-so-ever, and our guests loved it. They had no idea it wasn't pre-planned. If you don't want to spend the extra money just do that. The staff made it really comfortable and nice and I didn't even realize it wasn't a private dinner
  15. Nadine you're so beautiful!! I love love love your photos Congratulations you two!!
