Good luck with the prep course, I'm now 100% sure I just want the civil ceremony by the beach.
lol! yea on re-reading what I wrote I think I would have convinced myself even to have a civil ceremony. For us its a personal decision. I know what I believe and its important to us to have a Catholic ceremony. I want to introduce my children to the church too, have them baptized etc.. and if later in life they decide that its not important then that is a personal decision they have to live with. There are alot of Church teachings and rules that I don't agree with, but I also respect the values that they're trying to instill in our relationship and in the end I do believe that it will help our relationship grow and be healthy...otherwise I think I'd have told the priest here off and just had a civil ceremony. His opinions are what they are, its unfortunate and they make me angry at times, but I guess its his right to have them, and we're in his Church....anyways we'll see. Like Maura suggested, there's a good chance we're going to switch if we find that we're not getting anywhere with this guy.
Congrats on deciding what kind of ceremony you want! its such a big decision
