  6. OMG!!! that's awesome!! I can't wait to see pics! I've been at my course all week so I haven't had the chance to log on much and I totally missed this thread! K if it makes anyone else feel better, I have a story: just before I went into 1st year of university I had my hair all one length down to my waist, then I did a hair show and they chopped it all off into an ugly mullet (not a trendy one either...it was a billy ray cirus mullet like back in the day). I almost DIED when I saw it. I had to cut it all short, like above my earlobes short. BUUUUUT I got used to it and loved it...and now I miss short hair! and I'm secretly so jealous that you got to do that today! **sorry for the total hijack there lol
  7. I figured the reason I haven't heard back from any of the companies is due to the strike going on in Cabo. I'm just going to keep waiting for this all to be resolved (hopefully soon). Since my wedding isn't for another 8 months, I'm really not stressing out too much. Karin, to answer your question, I have not heard from him or anyone else either, because of the strike etc...

Boo no fun! lol hillarious! Was he good at least? I like that song, but I can see how it could sound totally brutal if his tune was off...ha ha Quote: Originally Posted by EDYTA Hey hun welcome back! ur pics r awesome u look great as a cowgirl i hated stampede when i lived there but it looked like u guys had tons of fun can't wait 4 u 2 get 2 T.O of though YAY!! seriously?! its so fun! but i think its probably different me coming in for a weekend as opposed to people that live there and deal with it for 10 days. lol!

  10. baby on board! things are getting out of hand! proud parents to be! notice how we're always holding diff drinks?! (it was 20min bus trip..and i don't remember these pics being taken ) at the bar don't give boys stickers - they make them dirty hat switcharoo...and yes i was horribly intoxicated, it was the last drink and pic of the night for me...:S
  11. Sorry I've been kind of MIA for the past week. After Michael left for Toronto I tried to keep as busy as possible (mostly that meant staying out of the house). So this past weekend I went to Calgary to visit my best friend Kelly for an annual Stampede party at our friend Lindsay's house. It was super fun, so I'm posting a few pics! as you might be able to tell, as the pics progress so does my level of intoxication...lol! Michael couldn't make it out from TO, but I wore his hat in his honor! hehe! Kelly and I and our bibs (we were can be messy when we eat) Kelly and her BF Tedders Kelly&I and our 5th vodka water! Hugo stealing beef on the bun from the trash and getting in trouble by his mom getting into the double-fisting = trouble the troop party bus drinking on the bus is the best!
  12. I love your review!! and you looked gorgeous!! Congrats! Everything turned out super amazing and very elegant! I love it! can't wait to see more pics!
  13. I'll be keeping you and your family in my prayers. I'm so sorry that you're going through this right now. It will all work out though I promise. We're all here to listen and offer whatever support we can give.
  14. The pictures are so beautiful!! Alyssa I'm soooo excited for your wedding its going to be incredible
  15. lol I didn't even know about rep points wow where have I been!?
  16. I was 24 almost 25 when Michael proposed to me. I think that every couple is different though, and personal maturity and love are more important than age in deciding when to marry. My parents were married at 20 and 22 and they had me when my mom was 21. They are the most inlove couple I know, still super cute with one another and have an amazing marriage after being together for over 26 years. You can be 21 and be perfectly ready for marriage, while others in their 30's are still imature and most definitely not ready to be anyone's spouse.

She has lied numerous times to me already and it's always about prices. for the ones who had Maye. Did she stay for most of your wedding or leave near the beginning? be careful because she books more than one wedding a day and sometimes will send her assistant to coordinate some, and in one case that I was told about, she actually left 2 hours before the wedding ended and left her teenage niece in charge so she could go see to the 2nd wedding she had booked

However, my wedding isn't for two weeks and who knows what might happen. I don't really care, though. All that matters is that I have my favorite people there to see me marry my favorite person. I can't wait until your wedding! its going to be so beautiful!
  19. Your pics are fabulous!! I love them~ you looked gorgeous! How did you get your hair to stay curly all day? I need to know your secret!

I know for me initially I wanted someone just because I didn't want to have to worry about things getting set up correctly on the day of the wedding. Also we were having the ceremony offsite so I needed the transportation set up...but really I can do it myself and I know that at least in me I can depend.

  22. WC's are supposed to provide the best vendor prices based on their relationships with the vendors themselves. And they're also supposed to provide peace of mind to the brides and organize the day-of so the Bride can relax and not worry about anything. As far as Maye not being deceitful goes, while I appreciate everyone having different experiences with her, with me she was deceitful. When she told me something that proved to be untrue then she was lying. Also, I understand that vendors in Mexico make deals for best prices, but I heard from a number different vendors how Maye was the one inflating her prices for her own gain. I spoke on the phone with these people, and I highly doubt that there is a big conspiracy to put her out of business or paint her in a bad light. Lastly I would like to say that from what I understand from the vendors I have spoken to, Maye isn't the worst of WC's. She actually rips the clients off the least and still provides a somewhat appealing exterior to the brides. However she treats alot of her vendors poorly, and many of them can't voice their concerns because they don't want to be cast out and have their businesses destroyed. It is for this reason that I cannot go into great detail as to whom these vendors are, nor can I go into details as to all of the details that transpired. In my own personal opinion I think that Maye is very good at playing the unknowing, frazzled, sweet lady role. I think she knows exactly what to do and what to say to get what she wants and she's very good at it. Thank you Michelle for posting your opinion and your experience with her. It is important I think for everyone to get feel for what different brides have gone through and my opinion is just one out of a million.
