  1. the pictures are so great!!! it looks like an amazing day!! congratulations!!!
  2. i'm sorry you're upset! I think like the girls said, its kind of normal and alot of couples go through this. I think the best advice I can give is, try to make time to spend together and to have fun! here's some ideas: (1)make it a point every night to go for a walk...even if its raining or snowing. Just walk for at least 15 min together. It will get you out of the house, away from the noise of life and allow you to connect. (2)set one night a week as datenight, and take turns picking what to do. And it can't be sitting at home watching a movie...that doesn't count because its easy to pick up the laptop again. (3)make rules about dinner. Such as no tv and that you have to eat at the table, that will allow you both to focus one eachother. (4)maybe consider getting rid of cable...lol yea sounds torturous! We got rid of ours 2 years ago (we've been living together for almost 3) and it really improved our quality time...plus made more time for running, reading working on hobbies etc. Relationships are always going to be work, they don't just happen...so don't be discouraged if it feels liek you're putting in more effort now than you were maybe before.
  3. k I got the MRS. I want to nominate TammyB because she amazes me all the time with her kindness and dedication to animal rescues.
  4. I nominate *Heather* for B2B because she's always excited, positive and super helpful! I have to think about the MRS. one :S hmmm that one is tough!!
  5. I think I would have it at Sunset de Mona Lisa if I could Sunset da Mona Lisa :: Events :: Italian Seafood Restaurant with Arch view in Cabo San Lucas, BCS, Mexico, Weddings, Events, Private Diners (former Da Giorgio) it looks amazing!
  6. I looked into the mini about 3 weeks ago, but I decided it wasn't exactly what I needed. You have to look at what you will be using your computer for. The mini has limited memory and disk space. Even with the customization features you are not able to have more than 1gb of memory...and that means your computer won't be able to run some applications, or will be slow in doing so. Again that depends on you and what your usage will be like. I run photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver etc... on mine so 1GB for a computer is really slow. Also the mini, is actually mini, lol so it has a small screen, small buttons etc. Its a relatively new computer so it might not have all its kinks worked out yet. With that said I've had both dell and mac laptops in the past. 2 mac notebooks and 4 dell notebooks, and I love the dell computers. I've never had problems with them, and there is 24hr support that comes with it, so its useful incase something ever needs to be done. I just ordered my new laptop last week actually (with a pink cover because I am a nerd and i don't want the FI using it) hehe! I think its supposed to be delivered today. I will let you know how it runs in a few days if you want to wait that long, and then give you the exact name of it and specs.
  7. CONGRATULATIONS LISA!!!! omg! he's so beautiful!!!
  8. This sounds like such an amazing opportunity! I wish I lived closer *tear* *sniff*
  9. WTF!!??! omg! I hate my work for blocking all good sites perezhilton and facebook! my life blows
  10. wow this is tough I like both dresses. I think the second dress is beautiful, but if you're going for a vintage feel then definitely #1! Its much more romantic and "of the time" and goes better with the birdcage veil i think

  12. she is so beautiful!! her little face is precious and she has the most beautiful colors! congrats Tammy!

  14. I think it will be perfect! I have an uneven wedding party as well. 3 groomsmen and 6 bms
  15. If your FI is going to be part of your life he will have to understand that your family is a part of that life, much like your family has to understand that your FI is also a part of your life. If there is ever a time for ppl to put aside their differences and accept one another than this is the time. I would tell my FI that and ask him to be the bigger person in the situation. As for the dogs/cats situation, if your sister and parents are 2 hrs away why not just go over there for the day? Leave early Christmas morning and come back the next morning. Would your cat be ok for 1 day? That might be a good compromise for your FI, and would make him less uncomfortable I'm sure.
  16. The transportation is the only noticeable difference that I have seen, but that is because I have booked the rest of my vendors already. I know the hotels are increasing their prices as well for wedding related expenses thought in 2009. Has anyone else noticed a hike in prices?
  17. I understand supply and demand, I also understand pressure on the vendors to raise their prices. I'm not advocating for everyone to pull the chute and drop their prices, I'm talking about being realistic and staying informed on current market trends. Maybe the solution is keeping prices constant instead of jumping from $700 to $1000 for transportation, in a matter of 1mo.
  18. yea well if they're protecting themselves for less bookings by charging more than clearly they are totally ignorant on how economics work lol! they might have a very swift and very harsh realization soon
  19. K I don't know if there's a post on this already, and if there is MODs feel free to move this or close it down. I am baffled and pretty angry. I don't understand, when the world economies are crashing around us and people are losing their jobs left right and center, how is it effin possible that Cabo vendors (i'm generalizing because I'm planning this wedding in Cabo) have the courage to inflate their prices by 30-90%?!?!?!?!?! Am I on glue?! have I somehow missed out or slept through that chapter on economic theories?! and yes I said "INFLATE" because their prices are inflated and not at all a reflection of reality. grrrr! I am so angry! Vendors around the world are losing business, people are losing their jobs, economic spending is at an all time low, am I to believe that in Cabo things are different?! eff! can someone just give me some perspective? because clearly I missed something! phew, ok i feel a bit better now but seriously, I'm about 2.5 seconds away from having a heart attack
  20. i can't see them either but it might be because they blocked the site at work :S grrr...not impressed
  21. yey i just ordered mine...it said for US citizens only but somehow it still let me get it for free :S strange. Oh well I'm so excited!! yey
