my FI's family lives in BC and mine lives in Ontario...5hr flight. We decided 3 years ago to spend one year with one family and the next with the other, however any family member that wishes to come with us from eachother's side is welcome to. The first year we spent with his family, the second and third we spent with mine (this year was because of circumstances not choice) but last year his sister came out and spent it with mine, so Michael wasn't totally alone. And this year both his sister and cousin came it was wonderful!! so lovely having our families get along.

HM that's kind of weird. I freak out pretty easily so this would probably rattle me too. I feel like the tracking # goes into the system right away when the item is scanned in at the post office, it might not move around much or they might be slow updating it with the correct location of the item, but it should probably at least show up that its been received :S anyways don't freak. Try to continue contacting her, and hopefully it all sorts itself out. I'm really sorry you're going through this, I know its stressful

He's my best friend. I love the butterflies that I get before I am about to see him and I love the fact that he makes me want to be better every day I am with him. The best part is that our families absolutely love eachother! My parents have practically "adopted" his sister and cousin, and vice versa. HIs sister even calls my parents mom and dad. Its perfect!

I'm European, Christmas and the whole 2 months around it are a giant excuse to gorge on everything in sight...literally. I've eaten so much I feel like I am never hungry anymore...lol! just realized I have 3 mos to go before the wedding......so yea..totally need to get on a big diet asap. I'm thinking before new years its unrealistic, but afterwards I'm taking a page out of the anorexia handbook and no longer eating food last xmas i was in the hospital for 2 weeks before on IV so I was pretty skinny, i think liquid diet is my skinny method of choice for the next 2 mos

you might be able to do a Bay or Sears registry online, try giving them a call. Also, you can register for a honeymoon instead, with a travel agency. That way you can actually pick the things that you want to buy for the house and have your guests pay for the holiday. We didn't do a registry, I wanted to register with Holts hahaha but my FI wasn't so wild about that idea instead we opened a joint bank account and gave our guests that info, we included a "business card" type of card just saying that we would appreciate their presence and didn't need to give gifts, but if they wanted to they could deposit money into this account to help with our downpayment. We had amazing responses from ppl. They really liked that, and most actually just sent cheques. Don't SETTLE for a registry, it should be something you love.

oh no! that's terrible!! ugh, I don't have a dog but I have 2 cats...with claws and super curious...they break things all the time, and destroy all my chairs I'm glad to hear that most of the stuff can be fixed though, or replaced.
