  1. Deanna I love love love your pics!!! You guys look amazing I wish I was back at Dreams right now, I miss it so much!
  2. I found the beach to be awesome! Its a different terrain than the Mayan Riviera though, so the sand is not as fine. As Dino mentioned, depending on the time of day and how the sun shines, it changes the color. I have been to the Mayan Riviera many times, but I honestly LOOOOOVED Cabo way way more! Its so incredibly beautiful. I was like you, had never been, so I just kind of took everyones word for it. It didn't even compare to how I imagined it. I wish I was back there right now haha! Also, as far as photographers go, I found a good reason to hire someone local as opposed to bringing a photographer with you, is that the local photographers know the area and the lighting. It really does make a difference. I am so glad that I hired Juan. He was fantastic to work with and our pictures are incredible. The day passed by so fast, I am so thankful that we invested in an amazing photographer who was able to capture it all
  3. Oh yey you got your pics!! I love the ones on the beach with the amazing sky above! Amazing!

  5. no they didn't wouldn't even ask where you got them from, its not really any of their business. Its like you bringing your own shampoo. BTW the Dreams sunscreen is friggin amazing!!
  6. Heather - we purchased a big box of cigars at the duty free store in the airport, before we boarded the plane to Cabo. When we got there a few people still needed some, and the box wasn't enough so for them we bought them at a store in San Jose...they gave us a good deal actually. But you can bring your own if you purchase from duty free because you've already gone through security.
  7. I didn't realize I was nominated either! thanks girls, and goodluck everyone!!
  8. I feel like there are alot of issues at play here. If the photographer was not a wedding photographer though is a big reason why perhaps you are not happy with the photos, and in that case I don't think you can really have such high expectations of him and his assitant. They would be out of their element. As far as the amount goes, I don't know if the number means much. I agree that less is more in some cases. I would prefer 400 amazing and edited images to 900 reg images. Juan shot our wedding for 8.5 hrs, and we received 900+ images, edited. He is a wedding photographer though, who invests time and effort into perfecting his craft. He knows what brides want, he knows how to get the right shots. I don't think a boudoir photographer is capable of the samething. So expectations need to be managed perhaps.

Based on when you got yours, I'm thinking mid-Sept I should have mine? ; ) yea that's probably right. You can always email and ask him to see what his estimated time would be for your pics.
