  1. I love your pictures! Your dress, your hair, smile, everything was amazing!
  2. I think 40 dollars per hour is outrageous! I am paying $46 dollars for four hours for the cheapest bar option at my hotel. I am bringing in bottles of high end tequila, vodka, and wine which they are charging me $15 dollars a bottle but I think it's a good deal. Is the $40 per hour for high end liquor or what?
  3. People are clueless. It is happening to me as well and I only have 2 bridesmaids. I'm planning my shower and one of my other friends is planning my bachelorette. I knew this going in. My best friend of 26 years is not the planning type, very artsy and disorganized. At least she is making a whole bunch of barefoot sandals for the girls. Don't worry, just give them jobs. People need guidance.
  4. Your not alone. Believe me. I have battled with anxiety for many years but I do a lot of self-talk and try to calm myself by thinking about why certain things are stressing me out and how to alleviate the stress. The gym really helps (I hate working out too). Also, make sure you are getting plenty of sleep and water and avoid caffeine. If you need meds for a couple of weeks to help you cope you should talk to your doctor. Everything will work out Amanda and you are going to have a wonderful wedding with those that you love. The only thing you should focus on now is what you are going to do first on your honeymoon.
  5. Welcome Jerome! This forum is awesome!
  6. Who did you hire in Cabo to run your ipods (if you did it that way)? What were the rates? I just need a setup for the ceremony and possibly someone to run the ipod for a few hours after the band leaves. I actually don't even need a person to run it as much as I need the equipment. Any equipment rentals or DJ's that rent equipment for private use that someone can give me contact info for? Does Maye have a contact for this type of thing? Thanks! -Laura
  7. I'm not till July yet I am freaking out and I am not the kind of person to stress out about things like weddings. I am not artsy or crafty and I suddenly feel that my wedding is lacking those special details which I do not have the genetic makeup to create. Then sometimes I just say screw it who really cares. It's in Cabo, people will have a good time. I can't imagine how much I would be stressing if it were this month. You are not alone. Even my FI is having nightmares.
  8. Such cute stuff. I love the outfits you all have picked out. The bridesmaid dresses and jewelry is so fun.

  10. Oh my goodness you are motivated! It was worth it though. They look amazing! Plus, you will feel good seeing the handmade product being carried around.
  11. Congratulations Glenda! You go! Good job to all the ladies who participated!
  12. Ok, I am taking this thread as my cupcake crisis thread. I need advice. The manager Armando at my hotel, the Cabo Surf Hotel, has been absolutely wonderful to work with. However, I am not keen on their cake options and the reviews I have seen on their cake. I am a food snob and I refuse to pay for a crappy cake. I originally decided I wouldn't have a cake (after the "what I would and wouldn't do again thread") but then, decided that cupcakes would be perfect. Even if you are inebriated and stuffed, one always has room for a cupcake. I also saw the cute square tier stands that looked like a cake stand but for cupcakes that I just had to have. Anyway, Jennifer Hatton quoted me at $6 a cupcake for delicious strawberry french cream filled cupcakes with white chocolate frosting (topped with fresh strawberries). Not a bad price for delicious top-notch cupcakes. Well I remember Armando sending me something saying that I couldn't use an outside baker. He wants $6.25 + tax and tip for what I imagine are not nearly as good cupcakes as a professional bakery. Question: Can I nicely ask to have Jen H. do my cupcakes? If he says no, should I ban the cake/cupcakes all together? I could do the cupcakes at my welcome dinner (no cake or anything at wedding) or I could put them in gift boxes for people to take with them after the wedding (can he ban that?). I refuse to pay $6.25 for mediocre cupcakes when I can find delicious cupcakes in San Diego for $4.00 a pop. Sorry so long... -Laura
  13. Sorry about the links....I must have messed them up somehow. Now they're fixed. -Laura
  14. Ok, so these aren't super cheap but I think they are perfect for starfish or beach themed weddings! I'm definitely getting the tea light holders. 15. Welcome Cynthia! I'm sure you can still find some last minute ideas on here. I'm in SD as well!
  16. She is sooo cute! I love puppies but they are a TON of work.

I dive and I absolutely love it because you feel a part of your surroundings rather than just a spectator looking down on it. Plus, you have a better sense of what is going on around you (like if there are any sharks hanging around). I'm not generally too scared of sharks and I swim in the ocean often BUT this freakin' shark was supposed to be giant with massive jaws and that freaks the crap out of me! I live 15 minutes away from the attack, so that didn't help either.
  18. I don't think they covered the roommate situation but I think it can be inferred from last season's ending. I would love it if Cali and Hahn hooked up. I never thought that one before....
  19. It sounds like she is being an immature, selfish 18-year-old, which is all too common. I'm really sorry to hear that you had to find out that way. She's really going to regret not having you there in a couple of years when she realizes how important family is in life. How do your parents feel?

  22. I love the idea of "danger". How fun to get to choose your own MN.
