  5. Ugh, I am amazed you were patient for so long...my choice words would have come much sooner! It's pretty sad they were crappy considering they are a BBB accredited store! Glad you finally got it but sorry for your frustration
  6. You have my vote ---love the Halloween/Fall colors! One person on there is a bit snippy saying they think all the Day 1 Board 10 votes are from the same person. I almost wanted to write something but I didn't! Good luck!
  7. Oh I say go for it! That sounds so exciting and I know you said you are close to your family but you don't want to miss out on this experience! You'd be surprised at how it will make you and FI closer and even you and your family because they'll be so happy you did something for yourself that challenged you and made you grow as a person! My vote: DO IT!!!!!!!!!!
  8. We got ours at Bed Bath and Beyond in their travel section. I am sure they were under a $1 or we wouldn't have gotten them!
  9. What is everyone doing for invites for the AHR, we're having trouble trying to figure out what to use Any ideas??
  10. Ur note alone! I started off college with a pre-vet major, switched over to Recreation Management, did that for a few years and now i am in my first semester of Dental Hygiene. It is a great paying, flexible career i can take anywhere. On MSN last week it was listed as one of the growing fields and there is a place in Washington State that a Dental Hygienist gets paid $90K! How crazy is that? It's a lot of work and more goes into it than one thinks but the pay off will be huge!
  11. Okay ladies, what do you think of this? Semi-formal enough? I am hoping so cause it is in my price range, looks cute and comfy! Women's & Men's Clothes: Plus Size, Maternity, Baby & Kid's Clothing | Old Navy
  12. I think it is totally selfish...but from the sounds of it give her a month or so and she'll want to switch again! Plus I don't think people are going to appreciate her giving them 5 months notice with a major holiday coming up (if they celebrate Christmas!) But I say totally don't change your plans because of her!
  13. I agree with Yari. I just bought 25 vases, different sizes for our AHR, plus some glow stick bracelets from Michaels for about $95, which I think is a great deal!
  14. That's to cute Morgan! Last night I was actually more nervous about this getting passed then who became the next President! I am so excited and happy!
  15. IT PASSED WITH 60% OF THE VOTE!!!!:bunny _4: I am so HAPPY! This means 20 million farm animals in Cali in the next 6 years will have better living conditions and could lead to a change nation wide!
  16. I'd stop and think about how many parents you have with kids who woudl want to take their kids trick or treating. If you have mostly guests without kids then I say go for it!
  17. Okay, I just paid for our $165 room (this is only for 1 night) for my FI's friends wedding which is New Years Eve (didn't really have the $$ to do this but if we didn't go we'd never hear the end of it!) So anyway they are having a cocktail event (no dinner just hor'orderves) and are requesting semi-formal attire. So what does this mean I usually wear nice black dress pants and a nice top for evening weddings, especially cause this is during the winter in Vermont but now I don't know if this will be enough! And what does semi-formal mean for FI - just dress pants, shirt and tie? Any help would be appreciated.
  18. Ugh, we are working on our AHR list. We aren't even done and we have over 200 people and the place only holds 200! I know quite a few people I am inviting won't come but it is the "courteousy" invite. I am so glad we are doing a DW so I can actually enjoy my wedding day!
  19. My friend and her husband did that a few years ago......and she bought a big plastic butt and it worked GREAT for the big Beth boobs! Good luck!
  20. Hmmm...I am wondering if I should try posting this under a different section cause not to many pepole have checked this out and I want them to at least be aware of it!
  21. I know I wished I lived in Cali right now so I could vote. I have donated some money to help them get their ads on TV and good news they were on Oprah a few weeks back and from their website it looks like the New York Times is on their side but if people don't know about i am afraid they won't care to vote yes!!!! Ugh...so frustrating...but hopefully Prop 2 prevails!!!!
  22. Incase you haven't seen the ads you have a chance to really change the living situations for farm animals in your state that could lead to a country wide change of how farm animals are treat -- they'll be legally provided with rights for bare essentials like enough space to move around etc.... If you vote and you care about animals check out this website and get informed and vote yes on Prop 2 on Nov. 4th Anyone else that knows someone in California educate them about this Prop and try to get them to vote yes!!! Yes on Prop 2
  23. Well congrats! I am glad you had a beautiful and wonderful day!
  24. Ugh! My dress fits fine not back fat etc..however, as someone mentioned above my shoulders and FACE look "puffy" in the pics I took when I first bought it (hence not putting them on here!) but now that I am much closer to the date, seven months roughly, it is more motivation then being 14 months out! I don't care if I lose any weight I just want my face to shrink and my shoulders and arms not to be "puffy"! Guess that means getting out there and walking the dogs even when it is pitch black out when i get home!!!
  25. that you see and you say "OMG, is that me?" I Just saw a picture from a lake cruise I went on one evening with my fellow classmates and FI and my face is so fat!!!!!!!!! I guess I needed something like this to movitate me because I don't want "big fat face" in my wedding pictures...my dress fits fine, not the size I want but I thought oh well...but after seeing my face in the picture it is totally time to lose some weight! This has happened to me once before when I saw a picture and from the angle it looked like I was pregnant! I just wish when I lost weight I could manage to keep it off!!!!!!! ugh...how to fit school, work, homework, sleep and exercising in, should be interesting!
