And this sounds SO weird...but snap peas (green beans) with just a tiny bit of EVOO, sea salt and pepper are great on the grill...I make a little foil basket and toss them in there. The flavor completely changes (kind of like asparagus). -

You can also use the pesto on a Pizza...FI and I grill our pizzas on a pizza stone using the California Pizza Kitchen Dough Recipe - if anyone wants it let me know and I will post it!! I just spread fresh pesto on the dough for the sauce, then slices of fresh tomato and top it off with good mozzerella...best pizza EVER. -

OK, I am not a vegetarian, but I personally LOVE Boca Burger products...they have a "ground beef" variety that I add to homemade spaghetti sauce...it has a great flavor and soy protein so it fills you up so much more than a standard veggie sauce. I do have friends that are strict vegetarians that can't eat anything that resembles meat...so if you are like that I wouldn't recommend it! -
Hello!! You will love it here! I completely understand how you feel - I have been on here since January and we still haven't finalized a site/date...but this site absolutely directed me toward the sort of resort we want...and all the "seasoned" members out there will answer all of your questions willingly! It's the best place to get honest feedback

OK guys - So I emailed Sandra 2 weeks ago and haven't heard a peep. I know she is busy, but this is suuuuper frustrating for me. Our wedding is not until April of '09 and I am already having nightmares about it! We are also trying to plan a site visit for the end of this April and I really want to talk to Sandra before all of this is planned. Does anyone have any advice? Should I try to call her or try to email her assistant? I know with a DW you are supposed to let go of all the control issues - and I promise I will!! I just want to check out the resort first! Also, I read a thread on discounts for site visits at Dreams Cancun...does Dreams Tulum do the same thing?

Paying for Attendants?
jujigirl replied to jujigirl's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I LOVE the idea of a "credit" - There is just NO way we can cut down our wedding party....I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous but I have 4 best girlfriends, FI's two sisters (who are also great friends) and my little sis (MOH). FI has BIL, and 6 really close friends. We just want everyone to be there so bad but have friends in completely different economic situations...so the credit would let us spread it out and keep control of the budget. Nueland- I feel you!! I feel like the cost to have it here in TX would be around the same - the only difference is there would be more people. Thank you all for your advice/opinions...great ideas! -

I haven't heard anything about Diamond Doctors but Robbins Bros is SO fun! My FI even had a good time (I think he was dreading it). When we walked in we were greeted at what looks like a hostess stand at a restaurant...you get a guy that tells you about all of the settings and helps you out. This was great for us since it was our first time ring shopping...you guys may like it better if you just wander, but no matter what it is FUN! Oh - and make sure you and your FI go to the bathroom...I know it sounds weird but the Houston one had really awesome bathrooms - but I won't give it away

OH - I almost forgot - I thought the girl Donnie went on the "date" with was actually really pretty in a natural, unique way...not the shiny-white-lipstick Aubrey way...it made me sad that they said she wasn't cute!

Hey - did anyone out there help your attendants pay for accomodations? I've read different articles that suggest that...we are trying to fit this into our budget but with a 14 person wedding party it is getting ridiculous. (If this is a repeat thread, let me know...I tried searching to no avail!).

JaimeLynne - Have you guys been to Robbins Bros? I know there is one in Dallas...they have SO MANY SETTINGS. So, if nothing else, it will give you a chance to try on everything from their solitaire settings to super detailed Tacori settings...just to see what you like. I ended up finding my dream ring there (actually FI found it while I was wandering around, completely overwhelmed). If you choose to buy there they will find diamonds within your price range with varying elements and let you pick your favorite. We looked at rings at the Houston location but FI bought the diamond at the Dallas location, overall our experience there was wonderful.

I would like to say that the things Aubrey says are SOOOO contradictory it is hilarious to me. I'm paraphrasing...but here are two of my faves: Aubrey in the hall while both groups are recording (I think she is talking to Q) and starts bragging about being a platinum group blah blah blah...and then goes into the room and talks about being humble?!!??! Situation number 2: When she is SCREAMING in the room "The loudest person in the room knows the leeeaassst" That seriously cracked me up...since she was clearly the loudest person. Also...the conversation with Donnie where she talked about how she wasn't "normal" and that he needed to treat "artists" with respect. Not gonna lie...threw up in my mouth a bit after that annoying conversation. OK..sorry about the rant, I LOVE the show and love that the guys are coming together.

I am a landman for an energy company (yes...a landMAN). We handle all the leasing/negotiation/legal aspects of acquiring mineral rights so our engineers and geologists can drill...I love it! My FI does the same thing!

Hey guys - my FI and I are planning a Dreams site visit in late April of this year - planning on getting married in April of '09...how soon in advance did you reserve your date? I had nightmares last night about a disaster wedding...I was so unprepared...I think I am thinking into this WAY too much!

I'm a little late but here is a link (easier to do than attaching) to a photo of a Tiffany Chair on google images...I'm thinking about doing this too! So pretty! Google Image Result for http://www.affordablechaircovers.com.au/galleries/tiffany/Silver_chairs_3.jpg Whew that is a long link! Hopefully it helps!
