  1. Yesterday, I was at a friend's party and she had a push-action bottle opener. It was the coolest thing and everyone talked about it. I'm thinking of getting them made with our logo for the OOT bags, but the smallest quantity I found was 75. Since I only need about 40, I was thinking of only asking for the logo to be put on my 40 and leave the rest blank. If anyone is interested in buying the others from me for their OOT bags, let me know. If interested, I could ask if they would do a second logo on the rest (not sure the cost or if they would do it). If you need more 35, I can order more as well - 75 is the minimum. I was going to get them in silver (see attached link). 2. I lost 5.5 lbs. I was going for 10 lbs so I'm 1/2 way there. I did so good in the beginning and then had a hard time. I'm so close to my goal weight so I know it's going to be tough!! I have less than 4 months to get it off, but I'm remotivated!!
  3. I just went to target in search of the bags and ended up getting the clear beach bags. The handles and bottom are canvas and came in white, black or pink so I bought all 3 colors (figured the single guys would get the black). I also got the 37 pairs of flip flops - they were 50% off the $1 price, so $.50 each!! They also had men's as well (fish on one, golf balls on another), as well as female. I need to hit the other target cuz I need to get a few more beach bags. I also got some swim goggles for the newphews ($1 each) and a pair of sunglasses for our 2 yr old neice, also $1.
  4. I was just at Michaels today and saw them by the wedding section.
  5. Good luck everyone with their weigh ins. I ate super healthy yesterday and worked out for 2 hours last nite at the gym as a "last chance workout". I surprisingly lost 1.5 lbs (.5 lbs less than I was on Friday monring before the 3 day weekend). I really thought I blew it. I tried to watch my portions even though the food I was eating was really bad. Good luck everyone!! Hope you feel better soon Yari!!
  6. I was really bad this weekend as well. On Friday, we went to a friend's house about an hr away to stay for the weekend. We all went out drinking on Friday nite and I had WAY too much. Saturday, I drank more and ate like crap most of the day. Sunday, was a tiny bit better (at least I didn't drink) but still ate bad. Yesterday, we grilled burgers on the grill and I layed around the house most of the day with the exception of spin class in the morning. Weekends are usually my downfall to begin with, but add a 3-day holiday weekend and I'm doomed! I'm just hoping I didn't gain weight! Today, I plan on being REALLY good and working out extra long tonite. FI has 2 softball games back to back, so I won't feel bad about taking 2 workout classes.
  7. Can't believe tomorrow is the first weigh in! Sunday afternoon wasn't so good for me, but I got back on track yesterday. Hope my hard work is reflected on the scale. I was so tempted to weigh myself this morning, but resisted.
  8. How is everyone doing this weekend. I see a few posts about parties. It's so tough to be good in that situation so don't beat yourself up - just start again as soon as you leave that environment. I've been doing really well this weekend and usually eating is my downfall, especially on the weekends. I also bumped up my workout yesterday. I'm really excited - this is the motivation I needed. Thanks everyone! Happy Mother's day to all the mothers (and soon-to-be moms) out there!
  9. I just read all the posts from yesterday. Yesterday was a really busy day at work so I wasn't on any boards at all. I went home last nite and went to the gym and FI made a really healthy dinner. My downfall is clearly eating (as opposed to working out which I actually enjoy most of the time). I feel really good for eating great yesterday and today (so far). BTW, the only digital camera I have is one of those big SLR cameras, so it weighs 2 lbs!! I figured as long as I use the same camera, it won't matter. Also, thanks to everyone that posted tips. I always eat breakfast in the morning, so my tip is to make sure you eat something to get your metabolism going. One of my favorites is the Dannon Light n Fit Vanilla Nonfat Yogurt, mixed with some Kashi Go Lean cereal and fruit (strawberries or bananas or blueberries). It's SO good.
  10. I haven't been to an AI in Mexico, but the places I have been to have had great food. You can get a good idea about the resort by reading Trip Advisor. Just keep in mind that there will be negative things about all resorts and don't discredit a resort by a few bad reviews as people have different expectations.
  11. I just called the TA for a flight and room for my dad. He's leaving out of FL and the airfare is over $600. When I looked 2 months ago, it was $450. Not sure if I should have him book now or wait and risk the prices going up even more!
  12. Now that I've done the contract and Claudia has sent me all the information I've asked for, I find I don't have any questions for them and not sure as it gets closer if I will or not. I was thinking of just finalizing everything when I'm there. Anyone else do this? Anything they need to know more than a few days in advance?
  13. I think I'm going to use the Ticket template for my invitations as well. A co-worker of mine did it for hers and they turned out adorable!
  14. I have a tatoo of a dolphin jumping over the sun setting over the ocean on my lower back. It's not very big. Got it when I turned 30 and love it. It hides well for work, etc, but shows in a bathing suit.
  15. I just found this thread. What a great idea. I want to join in as well.
  16. Wow - congrats! I love the pictures, especially the men with the umbrellas! Hilarious.
  17. I found that my Travel Agent was able to get much better response times than I could. He was able to go back and forth to find out what was available.
  18. After the contract, they sent me the payment options and I elected to pay by credit card. I made all the copies, scanned them in, and then emailed to Claudia. She confirmed she received them and sent them to the processing department (forgot what she called it). It's been a month and they still haven't charged my credit card. I sent her an email about 2 weeks ago asking when it would be processed and if there were any problems, but no response. I'm sure they will eventually get around to it.
  19. I'm finding Claudia doesn't want to substitute anything. I read on the forum how one bride substituted the dessert in the package for a larger wedding cake. When I asked for this (multiple times), she said they wouldn't do it. Since someone else said the dessert was better than the cake, I may just take the standard cake and keep the dessert. I wish they were more flexible and I really don't want to fight on every little substitution. I picked a destination wedding for LESS stress, not MORE.
  20. October 26th, 2008 here!!! We are SO excited. Seems like a long time from now, but I know it's going to sneak up on us quick. Went looking at dresses today. Found a dress I absolutely love, but it's out of the budget. :-(
  21. For those married, I see a lot of men in tan suits. Are they linen? Where did you get them, without breaking the bank for the groomsmen? Thanks!!
  22. Has anyone used the photographer that's part of the package? I have a friend that's pretty good at photography, so I was thinking of having her take pics as well and just use the one included in the package. Also, still undecided on the reception location. Where did you get the starfish for the bouquets?
