My FI bought me this gorgeous necklace for Valentines Day because he wanted me to have something nice to wear with my wedding dress (isn't that adorable!!). I really like the necklace but have some concerns. 1. I'm not a 'big' necklace person and it is quite big. 2. Will it go good with my dress? (I've read that you should only wear earrings with a strapless gown.) Stinks because I don't get my dress for a few more months and can't try it on with it. 3. Should I exchange it for something cheaper and then spend the extra $$ on other wedding stuff? I know that sounds tacky, but he really wouldn't care and I priced it out online (i'm so bad) and it was around $1500... WAY expensive for a necklace. please let me know what you all think. Thank you so much for these pics!! So helpful. I never saw the pic of the gazebo with the pool in it. It looks so close (could be because the pic is taken from so high up). Was this an issue for anyone? Were people swimming or tanning during anyones wedding? Or is it far enough away where it doesn't really matter? Also, it looks like the Terrace is right there too? Can people swim while a reception is going on? Maybe I'm just looking at the pics wrong... Alyssa: I love your dog!! So cute!

Hey ladies! I need some photography help. I love the photos posted here done by Claudia Rodriguez and I went on her site and am convinced that I want to use her. I filled out that form on her web-site for 'Contact Us' on Monday and haven't received a reply... not even a confirmation that they received my request. Is it normal for her to take awhile to get back to people or did my computer glitch out and not send my email? Does anyone have a direct email address for her that I can try? Thanks so much! Dawn

I got 200 printed (I'm cutting them myself to save some $$) and I got orange envelopes too for about $330 and that included them being shipped to me. I think that we picked 100lb card stock and they're printed on a press instead of a laser printer so the quality is awesome. Hope that helps!

I just did my boarding pass STD through hitchedinvites.com. They will design them for you for $50-$100 if you want to print them yourself (I just had her print them for me) Look at the ones that she made me under Drapala/Miles on their website or here if you search "Boarding Pass STDs final proof'... sorry haven't figured out the linking thing yet!

I had the same problem with the Dreams in Cancun. Read the post called "Note to future dreams cancun brides'.. I would link it but I don't know how! Anyway, they kept telling me that my dates were booked and it turns out that only the sunset weddings for those days were booked. Other times were available. We wanted a noon wedding anyway so it worked out but I was getting super frustrated with the emails. I ended up sucking up the international calling rates and calling the WC direct. It's so much easier to deal with them on the phone. Good luck and don't worry, ALL the dates in 2009 can't possibly be gone already!

This is for all the ladies that haven't yet booked a date but want to wed at Dreams Cancun. I have been going back and forth via email with Claudia and Daniella (wedding coordinators at Dreams) for the past few weeks. I request a date, they tell me it's not available, give me a list of what is available, I pick again and the cycle starts over. Well after this happened 4 times, I got fed up and decided to just call them directly. They didn't answer so I left a message and surprisingly Daniella returned my call about an hour later. Before I asked her for my number 5 option for a date, I had her double check my first pick (just in case by fluke it opened up). She told me that the date wasn't available for sunset but it was open for a noonish time wedding. I really didn't want to have a sunset wedding anyway so this just worked out perfectly. I also asked her (just out of curiosity) about my 2nd-3rd picks and it was the same situation... just the sunset timing wasn't available. So, I hope that this helps someone because I was SERIOUSLY stressing about not getting a date that worked. PS. WOO HOO!! I'm officially a Dreams Bride!! YEAH!!

So we wanted to get married at Dreams Cancun, our date was unavailable. We tried another date (that was available 6 hours before) and it was then gone too. I am so frustrated and stressed and ready to just throw it all away and head to the county court house. Please help, I need some advice. - We wanted to do a Saturday wedding because we have so many guests that have limited time off with jobs... If we can't get a Saturday at Dreams, should we try for a Friday or Sunday or should we try another resort all together. - If we do decide to go to another resort, I need some help on picking one. I love the gazebo area at Dreams and picked it because of that and their reasonable pricing. Are there any other places with similar attributes in the area? Please give me ANY advice that you can think of... I really really don't want to get married in Illinois

I am so sorry! I am going through the EXACT same thing right now with Dreams. They send me a list of dates available, I pick one and then 2 days later when they finally get back to me, the date i picked is 'no longer available'. I am SO frustrated. Good luck to you! I hope that it all works out.

So, I have been awaiting my reply from Dreams as to whether the date that I want is available and of course, it's not. There are so many conflicts with our wedding party and the only other date that we think could actually work is Sunday August 31st, which is Labor Day weekend. I'm worried that it's kind of imposing on people to have it then. What does everyone think? Has anyone had a wedding on a holiday like that? One perk is one extra day in the sun without having to worry about work! Any input would be great! Dawn

My fiance and I finally picked an ideal date (pretty much the ONLY day that will work for our VIP guests) for the wedding and sent in the request through the Dreams website but haven't heard back from anyone. It's been like 3 days and I'm getting nervous. I tried to email them too but still no reply. Did anyone else encounter this? Should I be freaking out or is this normal? Please help!! UPDATE: Thanks for all the advice. Claudia finally got back to me but my date isn't available. I just sent anothe post about Labor Day... would love all your input.
