I haven't commented in this thread this season yet..... I love SYTYCD but seriously a top 11 so that Billy Bell could be included?! WTF?! I really don't agree with that at all. Don't get me wrong, he is a good dancer and all but come on, it is time to move onto new talent! they let that Anthony (guy from Harlem with the injured hamstring) go over Billy Bell?! I just don't agree with that...not only was that Anthony guy a GOOD dancer but he was nice to look at! So far I am not liking this top 10 thing, although I am excited to see the all stars come back. However I do have mixed feelings about that too! Why do the "all stars" have to come back? why have they not moved on to bigger and better things? like for example Kayla who is now dancing with Jennifer Lopez, and also all of the one that are now on dancing with the stars? hmmm I just don't know about this season! sorry for the rant I just was a bit worked up over this top 11 thing tonight!

Now my ceremony is at 2 pm, the other lady is on this forum and her ceremony is at 3:30. Mine is at Secrets Maroma and hers is at The Royal, PDC. We are both freaking out, I called him and he had indicated that this Saturday he has 3 and that this is typical. I just don’t know what to do, I thought I would splurge as hair is super important to me and now I am worried its going to be a rush job for multiple of what I would have paid else where. Yikes this is just too stressful. Thanks for all your input. Quote: Originally Posted by angelov321 I just spoke to Fernando the other day and I had the same issue. If it doesnt work out, then I will be out $150 and will just use the resorts salon for hair and make up. I see you both are in the Riviera Maya? I think the scheduling conflicts you are having are with a different Fernando. I just wanted to point that out to the PV brides

Happy Wedding Day, Kat (butterfly4Kathy2)!!
Andi replied to Cassie's topic in CONGRATS & Shout outs!!
Ahhh thinking of you at the LC bridal casita right now! I hope you are enjoying your day with a drink in hand! congrats Mrs! -
I booked just about a year out too but the date I wanted was available. I would think you would be fine waiting til February. Although it wouldn't hurt to contact Kelly sooner...maybe in like a month though when wedding season is over for her. Also there is the online calendar on the vallarta adventures website and it shows what dates are taken.

Which resort are you getting married and/or honeymooning at (part II)?
Andi replied to TammyWright's topic in Honeymoon Forum
I selected other for honeymooning at casa velas. I selected palace resorts beccause that is where we stayed for the wedding but was actually married at las caletas. -

I remember reading about the "all terrain wheelchair" that Las Caletas has on hand... but does this mean that they will never have walk to get anywhere? What about the boat... is that wheel chair accessible? Thanks! oh yes you are not til april 2011 right? you have plenty of time to email kelly questions later...actually you probably won't really need to talk to her until a couple of months out. She is the only coordinator there now so I am sure she is SLAMMED. in the meantime you can ask all your questions here on the wheelchair, they can get the wheelchair on and off the boat just fine. I have pics of my grandma sitting in the wheelchair on the ride back and she is on the boat. The only place they won't be able to get the chair is down to the actual ceremony site on the beach. there are maybe 10 stairs that will have to be walked down. also maybe to get to the main bathrooms behind the reception. there may be a few steps there too but you can always have her use the bathroom that is on the second floor of where the reception is. to get there i do not think there are stairs. Basically I would say 90% of LC wedding site can be accessed with the wheelchair. that is on the low side of my guess. I had my 2 grandmas and great aunt who are all well over 70 years of age with bad knees, etc who couldn't walk great distances and they did just fine. just have your people in the wheelchairs take their time and also going back to the boat they will have them walk over first from the reception so they can take their time.

I have found a lot of "coming in on the boat" and "ceremony" pictures but I have sifted through tons of slidesshows and cannot remember who had the most RECEPTION pictures. I am needing these pictures to help convince my family and fiance that LC is absolutely beautiful and worth the effort! Can anyone help? Does anyone still have the link to the old thread that had all the picture links on it? Or does anyone have any reception pictures that they could email me? Any help would be GREAT!! thanks everyone! And BAREFOOTBRIDE cannot wait to see your pics and hear more about it! Congrats and welcome back!!! also - Ms. Havisu.... we are dying for your pictures still!! Thanks everyone! - Rachelle did you look through all of the pictures on the very first post of this thread already? what exactly are you looking for that you can't find? maybe that will help us point you in the right direction. In other news we just returned from our anniversary trip back to PV...it was really last minute and we were only there for 3 days BUT it was amazing yet again! Didn't make it to LC this time just because we weren't there very long but PV weather at the end of April is PERFECT! zero clouds in the sky! I heard from Miss Di (diane) who got married at LC last saturday and she said that it was "INCREDIBLE!" I don't think she is back to the states yet but I am sure she will come back here once she is and give us all the details of her day!

Are there any Riu Palace Pacifico brides on here? DH and I just decided that we are going back to PV for our anniversary this weekend and I think we are going to stay at the Palace Pacifico! If any B2B's need anything, like pictures or info on how something is set up, let me know and I can check it out for you!

We don't really care what people think about us or what they're going to say. People will talk regardless of what happens. I think their are plenty of us out there at use the term ahr loosely, ranging from full blown fancy reception to backyard bbq with family and friends. I agree with everyone else tho - if you're going to have a big ahr and want to be more formal then it's not right to stick the food cost on your guests. In our situation we're still paying for all the food, we just asked a handful of people to make the dishes that they're well known for. Example, we have a close family friend that makes the best brisket we've ever had. We asked before hand if he would be willing to cook if we were willing to pay for the food, and he said okay. But, he does this kind of stuff all the time for lots of people, so it probably wasn't a big deal to him. My point is that you do whatever makes you feel comfortable, regardless of what your family, friends or bdw thinks. Nobody said you had to follow the 'rules'. Wow I honestly couldn't have said this better. Like you Hoyt, we too offended a lot of people by having a DW in the first place but guess what, we didn't care, it was our wedding and our day and quite honestly we do not care about what people think of us or say (behind our backs or not) about our decisions. AHR was a term used VERY loosely for us as well. To each your own, I think everyone should do what is most comfortable for your own situation. For us it was a potluck, and if given the chance again I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding or AHR.
-
Wow I guess I am in the minority on this one like Hoyt75. I had a BBQ/Potluck AHR and it was just fine. We provided the main BBQ meats, hamburgers, hot dogs and steaks and then my dad manned the grill and BBQ'ed it all up. We then said in our invites that it was going to be a VERY informal celebration of our recent marriage and each invite had a small card in it suggesting that they either bring a side, drink, or dessert. My family is pretty close anyway and even at holiday functions, it always turns into a potluck type of thing so this was just on a bit larger scale. Unlike the people who think it is "tacky", I am on the other end of the spectrum, if it is planned to be an informal event then I say go for it. Now on the other hand if it is going to be a more formal event then it probably isn't something you would want to do.

Need advice on how to make key cards

Have you tried using the search function? There are numerous threads out there about the details on these.
