  3. Thanks everyone for the clarification on the centerpieces! I think they all look good! Although I do really like the idea of being simple with Tara's votive candles...oh decisions, decisions!
  4. Woo hoo! I love when this thread have busy days and today is one of them! Quote: Originally Posted by tvt I'm not doing centers. I really don't care about the center, ha! Tons of candles and reflective stones; done! Great idea! I like the simplistic route! Quote: Originally Posted by Ms.Boo I talked to FI about LC last night and he is totally on board!!!! YAY!! Good news! not too early at all...I booked March of this year for my wedding in April of next year so just over a year out! I do remember seeing those before and I love those too! Quick question just to clarify...LC charges additional for the centerpieces? But provides the table runners and votive candles? I just haven't talked to Nicole about this part yet! thanks!

Wow! that is great that you are done planning! If you don't mind me asking, what are you (or any other LC brides) using for centerpieces... Rachel, I know you said something about forgetting your main ones at the hotel but I think your tables turned out great!

I just did a quick search and found Continental for $630 in June
  7. awww poor guy! he is SO cute though! we have a dane/lab mix but he is only 100 pounds...I can't imagine how big yours is!

We went there last year when we were in Puerto Vallarta to see Rhythms of the Night. I've emailed Kelley and received a quote back so now all I have to do is convince FI that this is the place for us! I can't wait to book it...I'm sure I'll have a million questions for you all! hooray! convincing your FI should not be too difficult! So far deciding on Las Caletas has been the best decision ever! They really do take care of it all!
  9. what a great thread! My biggest thing so far is to (as others have said) do and decide on locations/resorts that you and your FI want! Don't worry about everyone else...if the want to be there they will be! Last week I was concerned that the resort we decided on might be too expensive for some of our guests...and so I am telling everyone that they don't have to stay there! They are not obligated in any way to spend money that they don't want to! This day will be for us and will be great if 10 guests or 50 guests come!
  10. wow! your two options are completley different! I too am a bit biased! I am an LC bride....I decided on LC because of this forum actually! There are a lot of us on here...any questions let us know! Oh and welcome to the board!
  11. So I went back to the bridal store last night that I will probably order my dress from...I am deciding between two different dresses, one of them is a Maggie dress. Anyway, the consultant informed me last night that Maggie Sottero prices are increasing Sept. 1. This is not just at that store but rather increases that are being set forth by Maggie Sottero. She said that some dresses are going up as much as $400! the reason for the increase is rising costs (gas, materials, etc.) So she just recommened to me that if I do go with the Maggie dress I get it ordered before Sept. 1. Anyone else hear about this?
  12. what a great gift! We actually just broke down and bought one too a few months back...it is great! I can't believe all of the stuff that is picks up!
  13. so beautiful! can't wait to see more and hear about all of the details! Congrats!

  16. Thanks for the review! FI and I actually just booked a weekend trip to Vegas for next month and we will be staying at Manadalay Bay too! Perfect timing!

How much easier does it get than that!
  18. Oooooh I have a good one...today actually my FI is going wedding dress shopping with me! I have narrowed it down to 4-5 different dresses and I REALLY want his opinion on them (otherwise I have this fear that he will just HATE the dress)...so we are going today! He won't actually know which one I end up getting but he will have seen me in the dress already!
  19. all terrain wheelchairs?! Awesome! (although my grandma will probably insist she doesn't need one even if it is available) Thank you everyone for the insight! I feel much better!
  20. We haven't really discussed this yet...I am assuming we will be together the night before. We are not traditional at all so I guess I will just leave it up to my FI! If he wants to find somewhere else to sleep then he can...Heck I am not leaving the room!
  21. thanks Yari! I know someone posted on here about their grandma in their review I just can't for the life of me remember! Yes we are excited that they are getting their passports! I just want them to be comfortable when they get there!
