  1. I am so excited! Last night we went to the Janet Jackson concert. As a side note...I have been a HUGE Janet Jackson fan since I was about 7 so needless to say I was a bit excited! Anyway, I have family in Kansas City so we flew out to visit them and see Janet...we were 12th row and she has a catwalk that extends out of her stage and the catwalk was right next to us!!!! I was literally 3 feet from her! OMG it was great!!!!!! Janet is 40 now but she puts on the best shows! over 2 hours of dancing and singing...I was so happy! anyway I just had to share my excitement!
  2. they look great! Hey quick question for you how did you get the blue ribbon band to stay around the invite? I am working on my invites now and haven't quite decided how I am going to get the ribbon to stay. thanks!

How far out does everyone recommend I start really getting into the fine details with Nicole? I may go visit PV in December and was thinking I could do some of that then but that little trip is up in the air still.
  4. Thanks Tara! I just got an email from Nicole saying that she will save the starfish for me too! However, when they arrived at the marina, there was no one there. They didn't know where to go and they were kinda walking around confused. Thankfully Brad (the minister) saw the group and guided them to where they needed to go. Unfortunately, 2 of my guests arrived separate from the group and they were completely lost and ultimately missed the boat. I didn't even realize it until after the wedding. OOPS. I wish I could give more clarity on HOW they got confused and lost, but I never quite understand where they were in the marina and how they got turned around. But I do know that no one from LC was working the area since Rythms of the Night doesn't leave until much later. Also- the morning of the wedding, when we went to LC it was a total mess too. We were so confused and the cruise director kinda left us in a spot away from the hub bub. We saw the LC boat loading and we panicked and had to ask the pirate workers where we could find some LC staff cause I thought they were forgetting us. It seems like the WC meets most of the brides at the marina, but we only met Kelley once we boarded the boat. I should also note that I had NEVER been to PV's marina prior to this. That could have been part of the confusion too. OHHHHHH! for some reason I thought your guests were on the buses that can be arranged through LC. yeah I bet it is a bit difficult trying to find the right spot in the marina especially if you haven't been there.... thanks for clarifying!

I have been having the same problem saving my monogram...I will try this when I get home!
  8. If you do a search under the Etiquette, Traditions, to dos section you will probably find some posts about this. Here is one that I quickly found: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t22455 I do not have bridesmaids but this is a really cute idea and I ordered it for my flowergirl and ringbearer. the bridesmaid ones are really cute because you can choose the color of them! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t20528
  9. I agree box of tissues! So many good pics Yari! It is so beautiful how emotional everyone was at the ceremony. I love the dancing in the ocean pictures...and zip lining looks like a blast!
  10. Yari, I have another question and probably more after I post this! this is so helpful so thank you for posting your details! Quote: Originally Posted by Yari Yes, they had to walk to the bus...can you believe it? This helps me in more ways than one...now I know what I need to SPECIFY VERY CLEARLY (not that you didn't Yari) to Nicole.
  11. Thank you for posting this Yari! I am glad you were very honest about what happened that you did not like. and that REALLY sucks about no aisle... I would have been MAD too! Couple questions for you... - the bus ride where your guests had to walk...was that the bus service that can be arranged through LC? - A few of your guests got sick on the boat ride...did they take dramamine at all? - on your mom taking the cake...did Nicole just not want you to take the cake or what? I dont understand what the big deal would have been on your mom (or other guests) taking it home! well anyway reading about your LC day and wedding is so exciting! thanks for posting!
  12. Yari, congrats again! you looked so beautiful! I love the new picture in your signature! those clouds are unreal Quote: Originally Posted by Yari Oops I forgot Tara I left the starfish bouquet flower with Nicole! I hope you like it. In other words, It looked like crap. So I had to get rid of it. Luckily, Khols opened up in Miami (Yay!) and I found the same picture frame I ordered from them online (for 1/2 the price) and just got a new one. So I went to Michaels and bought a glue for glass. I also bought some thin strips used for stain glass art. It's kinda rubbery but very thin. So I glued the panals then added the thin strips to the outside panal, did a test run, and it's perfect. Hope this helps. Ok, I have a question for you! Sorry I am confused! So you glued he inside panels to the frame? or to eachother? i am just trying to visualize in my mind the best way to do it thanks!
  19. You bought those on ebay? no way! I would like to know the seller too if you don't mind I think the hair looks great!
  20. Tara everything looks fabulous! Your time is almost here congrats!
  21. Oooh fun thread! I like my FIL's. They are like my second set of parents! My FMIL CANNOT wait for a grandbaby and we continue to tell her she has 2 already! (2 furry ones that is! our dogs ) Also because my FI is an only child and she never had a daughter I know she is so excited to finally have a daugther! My FFIL is very quiet and always has been but he too is very supportive of us and our future together. Overall I think that I am totally lucky in the future-in-law department!
