  1. Calia....keep your snow in the mountains! I am REALLY glad it hasn't snowed here in the city yet! I am not a fan of snow!
  2. Thanks everyone! Quote: Originally Posted by adias.angel I am in love with your invites!! I might have to borrow the idea of adding different color boards to the inserts. 3. I finally finished my invites last week and sent them out! I borrowed a lot of inspirations and ideas from so many brides here...thank you to everyone who has helped me with these! I hope I too can inspire someone with mine! I bought the pocketfolds from cards and pockets. they were great to work with and they also have color samples that you can order. I am glad I did this because once I got the samples I changed my mind on the colors I wanted to use. I highly recommend getting some samples before you order. I also got the outer white envelopes and RSVP envelopes from cards and pockets. They do sell pre-cut mats but I decided to purchase their metallic card stock and cut the mats on my own. It worked just fine doing it that way and now I have extra cardstock for my other projects I made all of my designs in powerpoint and printed everything at home...it was probably much cheaper this way! In the end I made 50 invites and I think they cost about $3.50 or so each to make (not including postage) so not too bad! Any questions just ask!
  4. wow everything looks great! I like that your TTD dress is very similar to your real dress! have fun!

Rachel, I totally think having it on a Sunday where there wasn't a day tour was a huge perk for us too! Everyone was so calm and relaxed! Ahhh Sunday! good thinking to have it on that day of the week! I really liked your chuppah too...those were shells hanging down right? do you know if those are the same ones Rachel used?
  6. we are cutting back to this year for Christmas. We just bought a house and our wedding is 4 months after Christmas. Between those two things I am a pretty happy girl and don't need anything ....Although I did tell my FI the other day that the one thing I would like is a house cleaner to come twice a month...that is all I want!
  7. Tara, what a great review! Reading about your day brought tears to my eyes! It sounded like everything went so well! Congrats! Ok, so you seemed really calm about the snake on the boat ride back! I think I would have had a mini panic attack and demanded that we get the snake off the boat asap! I HATE SNAKES... I have some questions...just a few Joe got dressed at the spa...did he just change or was there a shower for him there too? I think you are the first one that I have heard of who added the extra hour to the beginning of the wedding. I didn't know this was an option (although I never thought of it or asked either!) Is this something that they were able to do for you pretty easily? Thanks!

  10. I am sorry but I think it is sort of weird for her to be getting married at her ex-boyfriend's house and he is giving her away too?

About to post my review Tara are you officially back now?! welcome back and congrats!
  12. Hey I have a question for everyone. I just read Christina's review....(great review by the way!) Does anyone know the price to use Fernando for hair and make-up? has anyone else used him? I know that Christina used him but I was just wondering if anyone else has? I am debating on doing my own hair and make-up or having someone come to LC to do it for me! THANKS!
  13. what a great review! Thank you for all of the details! I too do not have any bridesmaids and have been debating who I am going to invite to go over to LC with me to spend the day! what a great idea to bring some girlfriends! I will have to keep an eye on those candles! and I love the Pinata idea too! Congrats on the wedding!
  14. Tara that is a great teaser pic! we can't wait to see more and hear about all of the details! now get off the board and go back to being on a honeymoon!

  16. OH MAN! I am not suprised by this one! so much for that DW they were planning in the bahamas!
  17. ooooh I like the white! I think it looks great on you! What a bonus too that you dont have to get any alterations!

As far as transportation goes, have any of the LC brides tried looking into leaving from Nuevo Vallarta? It is a longer drive from the marina, but its not that far. DH and I were married in the marina then honeymooned in NV. We did the Rhythm of the Nights tour that left from NV. LC has a private dock/area in NV which is actually very nice. I think I may have video and some pics. It is a lot nicer and definitely less confusing that the Marina terminal (we also did a booze cruise prior to our wedding which left from the marina). P.S. you don't get searched or need to pay a fee to get onto the boat in NV. Just a thought Thanks for the insight on the dock in Nuevo Vallarta! Our wedding guests including us will all be staying in Nuevo Vallarta and leaving from there for LC rather than the PV dock. I have never actually been there so it is good to know it is a bit less confusing if you depart from Nuevo Vallarta!
  19. so pretty! the sky during your ceremony looked amazing! so blue! Great pics!

I will leave it for you! Nicole told me today that it is the blue one, I think she thought I might not want to use it because of the color (I do not have blue in my colors) but I really don't care what color it is it will just double as my "something blue"!

  23. I looked everywhere for a flower girl dress that I really liked and could not come up with anything! Then, thanks to another April 09 bride (sorry I can't remember exactly who!) I found this website and just fell in love with this idea Flower Girl Dresses at Weddingtutu.com Wedding Tutus Well over the weekend we were at the mall and found the perfect tutu in my wedding colors at Libby Lu! Got a great deal on it too! Here it is...I don't know about the shirt she has on but we can always change that later...I might want her to wear a leotard so that the shirt doesn't come untucked...what do you think?!
