  1. Hey Jamie, get off the Internet and go back to being on your honeymoon! Glad everything turned out great for you...can't wait to see pics! Congrats! oh and thanks for the tidbit on walmart!
  2. WOW! Everything turned out great! I love the towels...and your first aid kit...so cute! Your guests will love them!
  3. I think all airlines are different in the total number of seats they make available for points. I do know however that they do limit the number of seats per flight that they make availabe for points bookings. Pretty sure they do this because if they didn't they would lose money on the flight (even more than most are losing already). Also they dont want a plane to go out with 1/2 of the seats being on point redemtions! We ran into this problem when booking for Puerto Vallarta. my parents wanted to use points but the flights they wanted did not have any seats available for point redemption (because they were booked already). So they just booked points for a different day/time.
  4. I used word and it worked just fine! I did use powerpoint though for my pocketfold invites...both worked just fine!
  5. Prairiegirl I am in the SAME boat as you...I do not have a wedding party...so no MOH and both my FI and myself have no siblings. I really do want a bridal shower so I asked my mom if she would host one at her house. I know that mom's aren't really suppose to throw one (per tradition or whatever) but my FI and I are not traditional at all! I mean we are having a DW and we already live together! HA! So I say if you really want one you should have one...and if it is not traditional...oh well! (granted as long as you are ok with that!)
  6. This thread is really cracking me up! I was JUST thinking yesterday about the closet in my house where I have all of the wedding stuff stored! I really should start to go through it and really see what I have! I better start letting my FI in on some of my wedding purchases I have made lately or he is going to KILL me when he sees all of the "extras" I am planning on "nicely" giving my parents and FI's parents an extra bag or two to check for us..hee hee hee And also I am planning on wearing some sort of "bride" shirt too! I will take all of the help I can get!
  7. Great review Lilysd....I am glad your day was everything you imagined it to be! Congrats!

I have a question about walmart/sams club, since that has been discussed recently Does anyone know if they sell liquor there? My FI and FFIL LOVE Crown Royal...While on my site visit I asked Nicole if there was a way to get it and serve it at our wedding. She said that the most cost effective way would be for us to pick up some bottles before the wedding and then the bartenders at LC could just serve it for us. So I am just trying to figure out where we are going to go buy the Crown from when we get down to PV....I am thinking if Sams and/or Walmart sells liquor we might just go there because we will need to pick up a few things too for the OOT bags there.
  9. Congrats Julia and Kati..... who comes after them? wasn't there a master list of LC dates floating around somewhere?
  10. wow Julia you are SO close! how exciting! sorry, I am not any help on walmart....although I am curious about too just like you are!

I do weight train with my FI or by myself pretty often too so I am sure that helped me get through it...and I did that 2 days ago and I am a bit sore! it definatley WAS NOT easy!

  14. happy planning! do you have a specific location in PV picked out yet?
  15. it is a good workout...be sure to get some hand weights if you dont have some already...I am pushing myself too to use more weight... I used 10lb'ers with workout 1 the other day...my arms were jello! great! let me know when you get it! I will keep you all updated on my progress too!
  16. Hi girls! I got mine a couple of weeks ago but with the holidays and everything I haven't been doing it daily (but will start...hopefully tomorrow ) anyway, the few times that I have done it has been good! I workout pretty regularly anyway but after doing the shred twice in a row I was rather sore and that was just level one! I think I am ready to tackle level 2 but I think this one will be worth the money if you stay on it! I am going to start today religiously! anyone want to join me?!

welcome to the forum! I am a PV bride too, getting married at Las Caletas in April....any questions just ask! good luck planning!
  19. I am not dealing with this quite yet...but I think I will be in the next few weeks! When did you set your RSVP date for on the invites? In all reality if that date has passed and people are not booked yet...you are right, you CANNOT wait. I set my RSVP date on my invites for 2 weeks earlier than what I really needed too. So in my mind if I don't hear from our guests on wether or not they are coming by then...well, I hate to say it but too bad for them. If you have given them plenty of time to book then there really is not much more you can do...at some point you have to just give the hotel the final number and move on...you know what i mean?

I too spent hours on my STD's and Invites...but in the end they turned out great and my guests LOVED them...at Christmas all of our relatives kept telling us how great the DIY invites were and my FI just kept telling them it was not his doing! awww....he is so sweet!
