I can't believe how close it is! It's hard to get any work done. I feel like I could do wedding stuff full time. Yep I am right there with you! Finding his attire was the one task I gave my FI in planning...he is a very last minute person so I am not surprised one bit he hasn't done anything. I try to ask him what he thinks he wants to wear and he has no idea...UGH typical male. Anyway I am trying not to panic yet, I will be though in a month! Also I figure too that a lot of the spring attire is coming out now in the stores so he might be able to find something easier as that stuff comes out. Also on the ring...we have mine not his. I wanted to go look for his this past weekend and then we both got the stomach flu (which by the way has helped a bit in the wedding diet ) so hopefully we can go this weekend and find him a ring!

(we had them shipped to each address individually!)
  3. there is an entire sticky post on the boarding passes. you should look there first http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t22754
  4. Hey Everyone, I can't wait to see how your cups turn out! Over on the Las Caletas thread we got an order together of the same cups too! I am so excited to get them...our order was put in about a week before yours so I think ours should be arriving here within the next few days!? I worked with Andrew at VendoDirect as well, I thought he was very helpful and he responded right away! I can't wait to see how they all turn out...will one of you guys post some pics when they arrive?!

I am highly considering this as it would add so much flavor of Mexico to the wedding. Would love to hear your thoughts and I will be sure to post pictures of what I have so far - at least when I figure out to do that. Thanks! Erica Hey Erica, welcome to the LC thread For the mariachi's, at our site visit in December Nicole did mention to me that the cost of th Mariachi's are much more than the Mexican trio group (not sure if that matters to you or not). I too want to add that little flavor of Mexico...and haven't quite decided between the trio and the mariachis, although my mom did point out that if you have the mariachis, while they would add a great mexican vibe, their more formal attire might be too formal (at least for my taste). We are having such a casual wedding that the trio may be better? That is totally just my thought on that, I am sure both are great!
  6. wow, I am so glad to hear that so many grandmas/grandpas are making the trips! when we decided on a DW we pretty much thought that our grandmas would not be able to make the trip to PV. well then FI's grandma booked! his aunt is also going who will help his grandma if needed while we are down there. then a couple of weeks ago my grandma decided there was no way she would miss it! (She does not travel so it was quite a pleasant suprise to hear that she was going to go) My aunt too is going to help my grandma around at the airport and such. So now we are just so happy and grateful that both grandmas are going. I just ordered cute tshirts from vistaprint that say "grandma of the groom/bride" I think they will just be so excited when they get down there!

Good luck sweetie haha...FI is actually pretty good about it...he trys to not take one side or the other and honestly I try to keep him out of the middle of it all. He this his mommy is crazy just like I do though...although I will admit...he does need to totally cut the umbilical cord if you know what i mean!

    Confessions

ok sorry to change direction on this thread and I know that this has been discussed already but I really just need to vent right now...so please excuse the long winded rant to follow... I confess that sometimes I seriously cannot stand my FMIL and today she has pushed me over the edge...I am just really mad at her right now! So, from the beginning of all the wedding planning we talked with both my parents and my FI's parents about money and who was willing to help us pay for what. I thought that we had basically agreed that our parents would split all of the large things for the wedding (venue, hotel, airfare, photog). So up until this point we have only put deposits down on things and now that we are about two months away and nobody had really said anything about the $$$ I thought it would be a good idea for all 6 of us (his parents, mine and us) to get together this weekend to go over everything remaining for the wedding and figure it all out together...easy enought right? I call my parents...they are fine with it and ask me if the plan is stil to split the balances...I say yes. then I call my FMIL and ask her about this weekend and she basically blows me off and tells me that she is too busy for that this weekend So then my FI just calls me and tells me that his mother is mad at me because I have waited til now to ask to talk about money... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! she has KNOWN! I thought I was being proactive and doing a good thing by trying to get everyone together!!!! so now I am just mad about the whole $$$ situation and I know that this is me just being a snot but I really don't want his parents to help then at all if she is going to throw a big hissy fit about it! UGH!!!! again sorry for the rant...i do oddly feel better now though!

I really am no help in picking one because I am undecisive too! Villa Premiere is basically right in town which is nice...from what I have read, la estancia is in nuevo vallarta and very north. Since we are staying with all of our guests in Nuevo Vallarta at Vallarta Palace I am kinda leaning towards the premiere so can spend some time in downtown PV.
  10. I just ordered my garter I am so excited! I ordered from etsy seller GarterLady My FI loves racing!!! I almost ordered a Jimmie Johnson nascar #48 set (because he does not like Jimme Johnson and I REALLY like him) but then I decided I am going to wear these in some of my b-pics so the regular checkered flag will probably be better....anyway just had to share with someone
  11. Because you have people coming at so man different times, I really don't see a problem with getting the check in to hold the OOT bags up front until the guests arrive. then you can just put a little note in there like you said. We will luck out because our guests will all be coming on the same flight either with us or the next day...so we will meet them in the lobby just because they will be altogether. But if I were you I wouldnt really want to hang out in the lobby all day and wait for groups to arrive...it is your vacation too after all!
  12. Hey Brittany, which coordinator are you working with? Kelly or Nicole? Have you started working out your details with them yet? did they contact you to start working through that stuff? I know I am still over 2 months out, and I also know everything will get taken care of...but I am just getting anxious to start to get the minor details worked out!!!!!!!!
  13. wow what great pics! Playa Fiesta looks amazing...I know that ideally it is just for weddings but would you recommend it for a honeymoon hotel? do you have any pics of the rooms?
  14. I think my favorite is Melissa but after the previews at the end...hmmm might not be a good week for her next week?
  15. Hi! I am not a Punta Cana bride BUT I just placed a cup order for myself and a couple Las Caletas brides last week! I just wanted to let you guys know that the company is very easy to work with. I called and asked before ordering if they could ship the order to multiple addresses. they could...which was much easier...they just charged each address $14-$20 for shipping depending on location and quantity of cups. I dont know though the pricing to ship to canada and/or if they can do that. but call the 800# on the page and someone will help you...they were very nice and responded very quickly! We haven't received our cups but when they come I will post pics

I am a bit behind on them...we just decided last week that my shower will be Feb. 21st! I have a friend coming into town that weekend and it will be the last time she is able to come to town before the wedding...so we decided to have it then...also because she will be in town we will probably end up having my bachelorette party the same night! I am thinking though that it probably won't be until June or July and it will be a simple BBQ in the park or something like that. I honestly don't even really care to have an AHR but my parents and relatives who are not going to Mexico are nagging us!
  17. Julia...I love those pics too! The ones in town are just great, I think they really capture the true culture of PV!
  18. great thread thanks for the info! We are looking for a place to spend a few honeymoon days at too...all suggestions here look great
  19. Julia that was AMAZING! I totally teared up! I do love the LC photos thank you for sharing with us! you were a stunning bride! Did you do you your own hair or have the hair guy that LC can provide? Also, did your hubby go over to LC for the day? it looked like you guys had the chance to take a lot of pics before the ceremony? Congratulations! thanks again for sharing!
  20. Yay! Glad you liked him so well! Now I really can't wait to see your pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *hint* *hint* heee heee heee
  21. hmmm, I was going to suggest one of the ziplining tours but with such an age range I am not sure about that. What about the day trip to Las Caletas? boat leave at 8-9 in the morning...then you spend the day at Las Caletas either swimming, relaxing, suntanning, getting massages....might have something for everyone? do you know where the guys booked a boat through? I think my FI and his guys want to do the same thing one day but I am not sure what the best place is to book that. Let me know how it all goes when you get back!
  22. wow those are really cute...can't wait to see the real thing!

Thx We (myself and a few other Las Caletas brides) just ordered the mood changing cups we are splitting an order of 300. there was also a group of Riviera Maya brides that did the same thing. Definatley helps to split the order but because it is for multiple brides we just put Las Caletas-Puerto vallarta on the cups, no names or dates. Custom Color Changing Mood Stadium Cups Tara also had these cups for her wedding but she did had her info and monogram on them http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t26420
  24. hello, there is already a thread about the 30 day shred video, try looking through that one http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t29554
