We are getting legally married this weekend so that piece will also be done ahead of time. I can't wait!!!! Welcome to Amy! Trisha aaaaaagh! You are so close! I already can't wait to see your pics! -

my hubby wasn't exactly thrilled about the idea either. I too planted the thought of doing one early on in our planning. I repeatedly told him how excited I was to do so he knew that it was something I really wanted. on the day of our TTD he made several comments about how he didn't understand why we were going to do it, how he didn't understand why I wanted him to wear a shirt in the water, etc, etc. He knew though that it was something I was so excited about so he ended up going along with it. He did get away with just wearing shorts in the water but whatever I didn't want to make a big deal of that (although I would have preferred he wore a shirt) anyway just keep talking about it, you have some time. Also I have heard other girls talk about the same thing and throw around the idea of just doing the shoot by themselves. I know that is probably not ideals but you could still get your trashing that way! If it is something you really want though stick to your guns on doing it. It is a once in a lifetime thing and it really was so fun to jump in the pool and ocean in my dress!

I think Ann has a list of LC brides. Trisha might be next, Her wedding is November 3rd! I am so excited busy season is coming back around! I can't wait to see all of the LC pics to come! -
honestly, as many have said already. try not to worry about it too much. If people want to go they will book. Also as I learned, most people don't read RSVP cards and or deadline dates (at least my guests seemed to ignore them). I had a late April wedding as well, our RSVP card was set for February, and our deadline to book with the TA was early March. I had guests booking 3 days before we left for Mexico...YES 3 DAYS! needless to say it was very frustrating, they of course had missed the group rate by that time but seriously, what are you going to do, tell them they can't go? anyway, long story short...just try not to stress about it too much. Give your resort a number for guests that is your high number of possibles. After planning our wedding and dealing with people who didn't RSVP....I have learned going forward for anything we are ever invited to in the future, we will RSVP...I so don't want to be that person that people are waiting for an RSVP from!

Wine Box and Love Letter Ceremony
Andi replied to Jennyco116's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
oh my goodness, too funny, I was going to start a thread about this today! We were at a wedding last weekend and the couple did this! I had never heard of the idea before that but I think it is a great idea! the reading that they did during the ceremony was just so touching and sooooo many of the guests that were at the wedding were commenting on what a good idea it was! they used like a small treasure box thing...it did have a lock on it -

hey everyone, just a heads up, you all should read this: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t48545 there is an attachment on this thread.... -
Feed them! we had a table set up for our photogs that was sort of to side of where everyone was sitting, that way they didn't have to sit with the guests and sort of have a place to sneak away and have a quick bite! I will say, I was at a wedding last weekend and the bride was talking about how they didn't purchase vendor meals for their DJ and photographers... IMO, I thought it was super tacky to not feed the vendors! I mean they had been there all day!

We are sending save the dates in the next month and so over the next little while we expect people who said they'd definitely be there, to probably bail out. And that's cool. I would rather have a super fun wedding of my dreams with people close to me who will definitely make the trip, than a wedding with tons of people in a boring banquet hall eating crappy food just so more people can afford it. Also if you give people plenty of notice and time to save I think most people could do it. Some still may not, but if even going to local weddings can be expensive. Your MOH would have to get a dress, shoes, hair done, wedding gift, possibly a hotel for a night. MOH's tell me they spend close to $800/900 for a local wedding so if they can do that they can go to your DW. In my opinion! I think Lori summed it up well. Just remember that this is your day (well you and your FI) so if you have your heart set on a DW then do it. If it is really going to bother you that some people won't make it then don't have a DW. either way this is your decision. also because it is a DW and your wedding you can do whatever you want...for example we didn't even have a wedding party! it was just something that was not important to us. figure out what is important to you guys, stick with it and don't let other people try to talk you out of anything...bottom line it is your day.

Do you think she was duping him? I dont think she would know how to and that she is too nice to do that. But I dont think anything will happen with them outside of the house. He defended her and said he would never say one bad thing about her or her gameplay, yet she keeps saying they are "friends". Hello girl, wake up!!! There are going to be a million girls after him now, and HE LIKES YOU! I totally predicted Jordan would win the final HOA comp before the show aired, and my DH thought I was crazy. But everyone has a chance in a guessing game, right?! Jordan totally peaked at the right moment. PhillyBride, I can't wait to hear about the party!!! I was so excited that Jordan won! I noticed too how she barely acknowledged Jeff when she came out too. I hope it was that she was just overwhelmed though. He is a hottie and Jordan better realize real quick that he is a keeper! oh but did you see Jeff go right over to her brother and mom and hug them....I really like jeff! and he is a hottie to boot!

So really it is only Jessie - and they should know he's not really loyal!! good point! I am so hoping Jordan wins HOH and takes Natalie! she would win for sure that way!

I thought I read the package included dinner but when I fill out the request form in states $50 per person for dinner. Does anyone know anything about this? What would be the best day to have a wedding at Las Caletas? Are there less tourist on some days versus others? Thank you. ok so it may have changed a bit since I booked but there was a fee for the premier package. the standard package fee, then yes there is an additional $50 per person added. that is for dinner/drinks/desserts. It doesnt really matter which day of the week you choose. the tour groups are only there in the daytime, the weddings take place later around sunset. So on my wedding day, I went over to LC with my mom, aunt (or wedding party if you have one) we spent the entire day there, swimming, drinking margaritas, laying out and hanging out in the bridal casita. then around 2 I started getting ready, that was right as the other tourists were leaving. then the wedding guests come over. There are tourists that do come to LC for the rythms of the night show but they are nowhere close to the wedding festivities. It is very private no matter what day you have your wedding oh, but I forgot, I think recently they started doing sunday weddings in which there are no day tours on sundays. JaimeLynne was married on a sunday and went over to LC at her leisure...and then was there all day with no other tourists.
