I am going to have to look at the weather in the different locations. :-) oh just realized you are looking at the end of july....the rainy season in PV goes from june/july until september-ish. from what I hear it is not too bad then but it def. rains a lot.

another Denver bride! PV is amazing but I am biased! there are lots of great locations and this forum will help you find the perfect place!

Think of how hurt you would be if he felt embarrassed of you. maybe it was a poor choice of words, but if you truly feel embarrassed about the way he'll look at the wedding, then there are insecurities in your life that have nothing to do with your FI. for better or worse, right? We set-up a website and put it on our save-the-date cards. Take a peek if you'd like more info: Luke Selden & Trisha Verhasselt - Our Wedding Website I agree with Trisha, I think you should tell you guests about exactly what will take place in order to get to the wedding site. Depending on your group some people might be turned off by the boat or the terrain at LC. I realize you probably want some element of surprise as we did too. So we gave our guests VERY limited info on LC itself, also kept the fire dancers a secret as well. stuff like that. I think we only told them about the boat ride and that the wedding would take place at a private beach. also told them that once they leave the hotel for the wedding they would not be returning back to the hotel until around 11:30 at night. From what I can remember Nicole also recommends you tell your guests at least about the boat ride because in her past experience she had some weddings where the guests didn't know and she felt that they weren't really prepared for their 40 min boat ride.

I used my real dress and I highly recommend it! I figured I had ZERO use for my real dress after the wedding anyway and believe it or not it came out pretty clean from the pool, it really doesn't looked trashed at all! Yes it was VERY heavy when wet what I did though was I wore swimsuit bottoms under my dress for the TTD. then when we were done with the shoot we went into the hotel bathroom that is down by the pool and my mom helped me get out of my soaking dress and then i put on a tank top. we got a trashbag from the pool bar and threw the dress in the bag to carry it back up to the room. once back to the room I hung the dress up in the shower and rinsed it off there throughly. a couple of days later it was dried in the shower and then I just brought it back home in the garment bag I carried it out in!

Our wedding group stayed at the Vallarta Palace in April. We were not married there though but did see a couple of other weddings take place while we were there. Overall the Palace was nice. We had stayed at the Cancun Palace previously and thought because they are sister hotels the Vallarta Palace would be similar. they were to a degree however in my opinion the Cancun palace was a lot nicer. Not that the Vallarta Palace was a bad hotel by any means! it truly was great for our guests. I think it is important to make a list of things you and your FI want in a hotel/wedding location. AI, beach ceremony, adults only, etc. and go from there in picking a place also as Mel said, Nuevo is a lot different than the actual town of PV. both beautiful though in their own ways! if you need help there are a lot of ideas on here!

check the US passport website. depending on what city you are in they do have several offices around the US that issue them same day. you have to make an appointment and have to be travelling within 2weeks or something like that. here is the link with the regional offices http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_4312.html
