  1. Of course we don't mind if you ask for more prayers. We are honored that you would entrust something so important to us. You can count on prayers for your family and for yourself during this difficult time.
  2. Mandy did her photoshare through Snapfish because of the price - 9 cents per photo. However, I've ordered photos from both Snapfish and Shutterfly, and the pics from Shutterfly are consistently better color and quality. Their price is 15 cents a photo right now.
  3. OH MY GOSH! Your stuff is awesome - you have been one busy girl. You and Morgan may have to duke it out for title of DIY Queen! Your engagement pics are gorgeous, and I can't wait to see you in that wedding dress. Have the best time of your lives and make many wonderful memories.
  4. Dez, we were all concerned about you this weekend and hoping for the best. I wanted to say that great partnerships do not just happen; they take work, life-long commitment, a responsibility to build up your mate and not ever tear them down, and a willingness to talk about your differences, even if that sometimes means talking about why you are unable to talk. There is no greater joy than being in a relationship like this, and no greater pain than trying to achieve this when only one person is trying. You can't make someone love you like you love them - it has to be a gift from them. Hopefully, with counseling and lots of talking, you and FI can have the laughs, memories and relationship that you desire. You deserve to be treated with respect, honesty and love; don't ever settle for anything less. Our prayers are with you as you begin to work, hopefully together, through this roadblock. There will be many hard times in your lives together, and you will need to learn quickly how to negotiate them together if you are to be truly happy. We are here for you; we care for you and want the best for you. We'll do whatever it takes to help - just ask.
  5. You looked beautiful! Where did you get married in San Juan? Congratulations.

The night of the wedding dinner there was a menu and the guests chose which of the two pre-selected entrees they wanted. Is your dinner the "free" one or are you talking about a private dinner? It might be handled differently with the private dinner. Regarding paying, everything had to be paid for 30 days before the wedding.
  7. Raphaela, the head WC at EDR offered to have signature drinks ready and waiting for my daughter's dessert reception at the Health Bar after the dinner at Fuentes. Apparently this is done if you know to ask for it or happen to be told by your WC.
  8. Wow, Monica, everything looks so great. So glad everything went like you had planned. Your pics are beautiful!

OMFG! its not YOUR wedding, nobody is going to be looking at YOU!!!!!!! she said "i dont look sexy" --- ummmm excuse me but since WHEN are bridesmaids meant to look sexy?!?!? just wear the fucking dress and smile in the pictures before i go bridezilla on your ass! i dont care that your boobs dont look good, who the fuck do you have to impress?! why is this the bride's problem? fix it yourself and get over it! Gosh, Maura, I laughed out loud at that one. She's the one with the problem, not you. What nerve! I can just see her altering the dress to "look more sexy" - it'll be cut down to her waist in both the front and back, plus it'll have a slit all the way up. Yeah, they'll look at her - like she's a freak!
  10. Pam, if you want to include water and beer you'll probably want to buy it once you arrive in Mexico because of the weight and trying to carry everything. Also, you could do customized labels for them. (There's a thread for that, too!) Lots of girls have used the beach bag, but I've not seen any use the cooler; it's also a great idea. Do a search for OOT bags and you'll find lots of useful info.

  13. Great review! Congrats on a wonderful weddng. You were so quick to submit it that we'll try to be patient for the pics.
  14. It really is! Their photog got to shoot 2 weddings back-to-back on two consecutive days plus got to stay 3 nights at an all-inclusive. The brides got some extra time with the photog since she was on location. It was win-win for everyone.
  15. My daughter and another girl here on the forum shared a photog and it worked out extremely well. They each paid 1/2 of the 3 nights' hotel bill.
  16. Welcome, Karen! My daughter just got married, and we found so many great ideas here on the forum. Morgan is a treasure trove of helpful hints and will soon become your new best friend! We actually had another groom's mom join yesterday, too. Yay for helpful moms!

  18. Yeah, Mandy, we only "did it" twice. Once for you and once for Grant. Yeah, that's right.

Andrea <----- Andrea, let me tell you that you are one smart girl! My hubby and I have been married 31 years, and we try to always put each other first and give each other lots of surprises. Also, just so you girls will have something to look forward to.....sex is WAY better 31 years into it. No doubt about it.
  20. My dad eats PB, jelly and miracle whip on toast. He says the miracle whip makes it slide down easier.
  21. Glenda, bless your heart; what a day to remember! You looked so beautiful. Love the cake (and the fun cupcakes)! Congratulations!

Welcome, Pam! I'm a mother of the bride and we love having moms on here who are helping with the weddings. Where is your son getting married? Here's what I did for my daughter's OOT bags: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t22011 And here's the welcome books I made: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t22106 You can email me and I'll send you the templates if you would like.
  23. Yes, we had one booked through another company, but cancelled and booked through Lomas. Big mistake. I guess we should advise all brides to steer far away from any deep-sea fishing trip and Lomas in particular. There are lots of other fun side trips they can take; also we should advise them to book the trips themselves. It's more work and a bit of a risk, but no more than using Lomas.
  24. Congrats on finding the dress. What 3 colors did you choose for your wedding?
