  1. On my map, it is called the Healthy Bar/Bar de la Salud (G3) and is right in front of Building #2 and attached to the Healthy Bar Pool. Pericos Bar is B7, which is the first casitas bar. I'm using the new map we received when we were there in May of 2008.

The concierge upgraded her to the infinity casitas. I had actually booked all 3 couples in the 30 block, hoping they would bump her up, so it worked out good for her. The rest of our group stayed in the regular rooms.
  3. I always love seeing pictures of Chulo as he reminds me of our sweet Otto. Thanks for sharing.
  4. Starting in June, in an effort to attract more American tourists, Mexico will reimburse the 15% VAT (value-added tax) charged on purchases totaling at least $115 (1,200 Mexican pesos) at stores and businesses throughout the country. Here's a look at the program's fine print: 1. Reimbursements are made to visitors who arrive by air and cruise ship and are available at kiosks at five major airports: Mexico City, Cancun, Guadalajara, Los Cabos, and Puerto Vallarta. 2. In order to qualify for the refund, purchases must have been made at approved stores and businesses with credit cards or debit cards issued outside of Mexico, or in cash. 3. Visitors must present their passports when making their purchases and obtain a receipt and an official refund form from the approved merchant. 4. The tax credit will apply to shopping, not to purchases on meals and lodging. 5. Visitors will be able to get half of the VAT in Mexican pesos, up to a maximum of $955 (10,000 Mexican pesos); the rest will be credited electronically to visitors' credit cards or bank accounts within 40 days. Starting in 2009, the program will be phased in at other major airports as well as at cruise ports. We've always loved taking advantage of this VAT refund in Europe—now we can't wait to test it out in Mexico, where tourism is the country's third-largest source of income. 5. Section 31 is the block with the private infinity pools, even on the 2nd floor. That's as far as they've built, so they are the newest. We stayed in the 30 block, 2nd floor. Great room and view, awesome shower.
  6. Congratualtions! Wishing you a happy Legal Day!
  7. Congrats, you deserve this honor; the DT thread is so helpful, organized and awesome. The lucky Dreams Tulum brides will be singing your praises for years to come.

  9. Sounds like he needs to take some vitamins, and put his alarm across the room so he HAS to get up to turn it off.
  10. That looks perfect! For the picture, set up an account in photobucket; you can easily resize pics there.
  11. Raychel, great detailed review. You look so beautiful and happy. Congrats!

  13. One of Mandy's best friends and her FI decided no kissing before they got married. He had been a wildman bachelor before he met her, and they felt it would strengthen their relationship. Their first kiss was definitely "hot" and they didn't stick around very long after the reception.
  14. Becks, I see a new career for you in storywriting. We'll all be looking forward to more "storytimes with Beck"! Congrats to both you and Maura and may you both have the storybook weddings you've always dreamed about.
  15. Can't wait! and Pam, I just emailed you the templates, also. Let me know if you have any questions.

Is there something that is centrally located between these 2 locations? Thank you, Jennifer I think it was MrsV-to-be that brought in a stylist. In-between the Presidential gazebo and the health bar is Jo-Jo's, which has a bar. All 3 places are right along the same sidewalk next to the beach.
  17. My daughter had her dinner at Fuentes. The caesar salad was so-so, but the ginger and citrus-cured salmon ceviche was great. (She had 2 appetizers and no soup). One similar thing we had was the penne pasta w/ sauteed shrimp - everyone liked it. The only other thing we had on your list was the tres leches w/ strawberries, and everyone ate every bite of it. Very tasty!
  18. Happy Birthday, Morgan! You know we all love you and wish you the very best birthday ever!
  19. Dreamgirl08, I just emailed you the templates per your request. Have fun making the books!
  20. Beautiful, Shannon! Watching it, I felt like I was there - oh wait, I WAS! Hehe.
  21. Wow, gorgeous pictures. I love the black and white pics with the red tie/flowers. Congrats!

  24. That is great news, Kristy. I'm sure being home will boost his spirits. We will continue to pray for your family.
