Like could I shorten that time. I want to go right from dinner to the Tuscanes reception, so what are your thoughts on that timing? Maybe we should do: Dinner 6:00 Tuscanes at 8:00 ? Thanks! Oh - we are having an early ceremony (3:30) because apparently the sun sets in November around 5:00, so the photographer (Claudia R) said this was the best time to have it in November. Here was Mandy's schedule: 5:00 Wedding 6:30 Dinner at Las Fuentes 8:30 Reception at Health Bar We actually arrived at the Health Bar at 8:15, so they let us start early. There were 19 for dinner. I think if you have dinner at 6:00 and reception at 8:00 you should be fine, depending on the number of guests you are having.
  2. I do know that she's been in Puerto Rico for at least the last week. My daughter received an email from her this past Monday, responding to an email sent just a couple of days before.

  5. Welcome Mike! I've heard/read that the Valentin Imperial is an awesome resort. Actually, here are some threads I just found when I did a search: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t25887 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t15463 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t19446
  6. April, I have to say that no matter how much you try to please his family, you won't succeed. They will always have their own opinions about the location, number of guests, your dress, his shoes, types of flowers, the wedding dinner menu - you get the picture. This would happen no matter where you choose to get married, so you need to do what is right for you and Patrick; this is your first test as a couple. Make your decisions based on what the two of you really want. Don't give anyone the option of telling you what THEY want, just say this is what WE, together, have chosen. Ask for their support but not their opinions. Also, so sorry to hear about your Dad; he is in our prayers.
  7. It would be cheaper to get a different photographer and pay the $500 outside vendor fee. I agree that Karisma is going to get their money one way or another.

  10. You could always call him your "man of honor". I've seen this done at a couple of weddings and didn't think it was odd at all, just very sweet.

  16. Shenan, I see you've gotten lots of suggestions and offers of available photographers. Have you picked one yet?
  17. My husband always loses inches first in his wrists, and they are fairly small to begin with. His watch will start rolling around at the first sign of a diet.

  20. Lisa, even though this had to have been the hardest decision you have ever made, you definitely deserve someone who will treat you with respect, honor, and love. Hang in there, keep busy, take that vacation, and keep in touch. You made the right choice, and someday when your Prince comes along, you'll have no doubts whatsoever. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
