  2. Beautiful just seems inadequate to describe your pics. Nathaniel did an awesome job. Congrats!
  3. Here is the website I used for the currency conversion. I made that page about a week before we left so the info would be up-to-date. FXCheatSheet® - Currency Converter for Travelers

  5. Welcome Sherrie! We're always glad to have new moms here on the forum. There are lots of great ideas for everything from decor, gift bags for the guests, and newsletters to send out before everyone leaves. Let us know if we can help you find anything.
  6. Terrific idea; thanks for compiling everything into one list. Here's a few more items to add: *Frisbees *Shout stick or wipes *Mints/gum *Small flashlights
  7. We don't thank you nearly enough, Tammy, for all you do in hosting this awesome forum for DW brides. We all take it for granted that every morning BDW will be there when we log in. If there is something we can do to help you, please let us know. (Would a donation button be feasible?)
  8. I couldn't say anything better than Courtney just did. I am sending you my thoughts and prayers on the loss of your dad. May your good memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.
  9. My daughter had Vanessa Vargas take her photos. Here is a link to the thread (these are only a few of the ones Vaness took, there are lots more she didn't post): http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t22537
  10. Maura, your pictures are stunning, gorgeous, and beautiful, and you and Jose look so sweet together. Thanks for sharing!
  11. I do know that when we were in Puerto Rico on Good Friday, EVERYTHING was shut down - restaurants, stores, etc. It could be a problem with your vendors.

  13. Your guests won't be expecting a gift, so don't feel pressured into buying them one. The OOT bags and favors are a perfect way to tell them thanks for coming and sharing your wedding day. A DW is an event alot of people will never even get the opportunity to be invited to or attend. The ones that do go to your wedding really want to be there to see you get married; they are not going for the opportunity to receive a gift.
  14. I really do think they look great. They make a cute, unique placecard. After spending hours on my daughter's placecards, I think only one person actually saved theirs. The rest were thrown away with the trash. Ouch!
  15. Welcome Cassandra. My husband and I have stayed at EDSS. It is much smaller and more intimate than EDR, and they have the swinging beach beds - our very favorite thing! The swimup suites are really nice, but no ocean view. We'd spend the morning on the beach beds, the afternoon at the swimup.
  16. Kat, everything looks great. You'll be a beautiful bride. You're getting married on my birthday, so I'll be thinking about you all day on the 7th!
  17. Aww, Maura, you look SO beautiful! And happy! Congrats on a perfect wedding. We're anxious to hear and see more!
  18. I know what you mean. There were a couple of stupid little things that I overlooked when I did Mandy's newletter - left out a word, margins a bit off. I'm sure no one else noticed, but it was like a neon light to me everytime I looked at it.

As for corrections, the correct way to write the welcome to everyone is: Hola Familia y Amigos! Also, on the 3rd page, the gray box is overunning some of the words regarding the reception dinner at Tucanes. (Does that info need to be inside the gray box?) Lastly, I assume you didn't put the webite for your group pictures on there yet for security purposes. Just double-checked and looked at a map and it should be Tucanes, not Tuscanes I really like the pictures of proper attire. There should be no questions about what is required by the resort!
  20. Kat, here's what I did for Mandy's welcome books: Attachment 2386 Spanish Words, Pronunciations.doc
  21. Just got this email from Vanessa: HI, THANK YOU, I HAVE RESPONDED TO THE BRIDE, TAKE CARE, BEST REGARDS, VANESSA VARGAS PHOTOGRAPHER
  22. I don't think so; she's really flexible. I'll try emailing her for you in case something's not going through right.
