    The beauty of a DW is that all the rules are thrown out the window. Everyone has different expectations of their perfect wedding and how to carry out those expectations. That's why no two weddings are alike. Our son had a huge church wedding with 400 people attending. Our daughter is having a destination wedding with 20 attending. They will both be wonderful and memorable and right for everyone involved.

    My daugter's fiance also was balking at having to pay to have a reception at an all-inclusive. Since they decided not to have a wedding cake, we are instead paying for a dessert reception. The price pretty much is the same, but with more dessert choices. Also, they are taking their Ipod and own speakers so they can have a dance.

    The experience I've had with freezing M&Ms: It doesn't change the taste or texture, BUT if you try to eat them while they are still frozen, you'll end up with the color all over your hands. Also, they will sometimes bleed their color onto the others in the bag. It might not be a problem is the whole bag is blue, though. I'd try to freeze a few and see how they do.

    My son honeymooned at the Excellence Riviera Cancun and they LOVED it. They were pampered and treated like royalty. If they had to do it over, they would go there again in a heartbeat. It's more expensive than alot of the other resorts, but it's really, really nice. I'm sure the Punta Cana one is fairly comparable.

    I think Citibank has an awesome deal if you fly on American. You get the first year free (then you can cancel and get a different card if you don't want to pay the fee) and after your first purchase you get a large bonus, like 20,000 miles. We pay off our bill every month and rack up the points. You can get a flight for as little as 25,000 miles. They also have short hops specials occasionally. We've used our miles to fly to the Virgin Islands, Nicaragua, Puerta Vallarta and Cancun.

    I wish I was going to be your FMIL because I would tell you those are AWESOME STDs. You did a beautiful job and I love them! If we were sending out STDs for our daughter's wedding, I'd want to steal your idea!

    Welcome and Congratulations! Puerto Vallarta is a great location...miles and miles of beautiful beaches. We did a cool zipline/rappelling tour with Vallarta Adventures. I highly recommend it if you're wanting to do an activity while there.

    Thank you so much, that is sweet of you to say. I was hoping no one would mind if I was active on here. Mandy (my daughter) is actually the one who got me started on BDW. It takes ALOT of work to put on a wedding, and we've gotten so many terrific ideas from everyone. You girls are the BEST!

    I vote for #4. Most of our bags are going to couples, and it takes alot of room to carry 2 beach towels plus all the other fun stuff to the beach or pool.
