Long story short, we thought we were going to have to put him to sleep because he couldn't move, we had to spoon feed him water, and manually express his bladder, we finally decided to try one last thing, Acupuncture on him, sure enough he started to respond to the treatment. We ended up keeping him for 2 months until he was able to pee on his own, and move around better, the perm foster home felt that moving him back with them in their 4 dog house hold would only delay his progress. Once he was almost back to normal he went back home with his perm foster family, who actually ended up adopting him. :-) After that we just new we wanted to help more and started fostering on a regular basis. Wow, what a commitment you've made to these sweet dogs. We are so impressed. We are big believers in acupuncture. My husband was in a helicopter crash several years ago and has a cyst inside his spinal cord. Lately his pain level had been about an 8, but after weekly acupuncture, it's down to a 1!
