  1. So, how is the voting going and are you starting to lean towards one or two favorites?
  2. Maura, keep that man happy - it'll pay big dividends! Congratulations on the anniversary.
  3. Mandy's FI told me just yesterday that his favorite thing at his best friend's reception was a candy bar. He said it was really fun and everyone enjoyed picking out their own candy. (He hasn't seen this thread - the comment came out of the blue - so there's another yes vote for you.)

I agree with Maura. I also don't think you should have to ask her permission on what you have at your reception. Just tell her that yes, everything is already bought, that you are excited to add this to your reception and that your FI loves the idea. (Hopefully, he'll back you up.) Sarah, don't put yourself down when you talk to her - you aren't psycho or crazy for wanting to make your reception your perfect vison. Just be positive and say this is what we are doing. Good luck!
  5. Wow, what nerve to assume they would be welcome to a stranger's wedding. You could always tell them if they wanted to participate in the wedding festivities, the amount will be $____.
  6. Have fun planning - this forum is awesome.
  7. Have fun with the planning!

  10. Morgan, that FI of yours is a hoot; life will never be dull with him around! My husband is hilarious like Mike, and we've been laughing for 31 years now. Love the outfits you picked out, too!

So we started to help out with foster home visits, then moved to store meet and greets, Our first foster was a temp foster, the normal foster family were going on vacation for a couple of weeks and needed a sitter for him (he was a special needs Boston, his front legs were fused 90 degrees, so he had to scoot around with his back legs) Well two days after we got him he jumped off the couch (normal thing for him to do) but he became paralized.. Long story short, we thought we were going to have to put him to sleep because he couldn't move, we had to spoon feed him water, and manually express his bladder, we finally decided to try one last thing, Acupuncture on him, sure enough he started to respond to the treatment. We ended up keeping him for 2 months until he was able to pee on his own, and move around better, the perm foster home felt that moving him back with them in their 4 dog house hold would only delay his progress. Once he was almost back to normal he went back home with his perm foster family, who actually ended up adopting him. :-) After that we just new we wanted to help more and started fostering on a regular basis. Wow, what a commitment you've made to these sweet dogs. We are so impressed. We are big believers in acupuncture. My husband was in a helicopter crash several years ago and has a cyst inside his spinal cord. Lately his pain level had been about an 8, but after weekly acupuncture, it's down to a 1!
  12. Tammy, my husband asked how you ever got started fostering bostons? Your little Elsie looks just like our Otto. We could almost hear him snorting!
  13. Great slideshow, Juan Carlos! The pictures were fabulous.

I love both of them!! We will be there from May 3-May17, and staying in a Casita. I requested the 27 Block - so if anyone is around track me down We'll be there May 16 - May 23 with Mandy's wedding on May 20. We are also staying in the casitas. I know Shannon and Anna (Milllie & George) will be there during the last part of your stay, also.
