So this is good to think about - I was thinking I would just go with the resorts (Dream's) photographer, thinking that they do it so often that they would be good. What percentage of brides do you think that get an outside photographer? How Much more does it typicaly on average cost?

The price seems crazy! THe only reason I can think that they have a charge if for set up a bit from the buildings and lugging everything back and forth... But I am having a beach ceremony at Dream's and they said that there is no extra charge for set up / to hold it there... Just pay for the dinner cost per person. They charge $300 for ceremony on the beach but not for the reception.. However that works out. I think that a lot of brides do the ipod thing.

Anyone have any info on having a reception on the beach at Dream's Punta Cana? looking to see if it is a good idea? I am also looking for pics from different reception locations.

Another question to add to above.... Rooms.. What is your opinion on the type of room to book? I like the swim out idea, but am wondering about privacy? anyone been that can help?

New questions on wedding at Dreams.... What is with the cost for a ceremony on the beach? Does anyone have any pics of the location and if it is private? Also, I see that you can have your dinner reception on the beach also.... is there an extra charge for that location on top of the dinner pricing? Is it nice? Or is it a pain? I am wondering if I should just have it in the gazebo and then the reception somewhere else on resort... Anyone have pics of the reception locations? We have about 30 people and I would like it to be outside..

THank you girls.. I spent 9 hours at the hospital and she passed in peace while all her loved ones were around her. It is difficult but she is an amazing woman and I can just hope to be like her someday.

I am so stressed right now. I was not able to go to the hospital and I was upset when I heard that they were taking her off the meds to see what happens. Since my bro is an EMT and firefighter he told me that it was most likely going to be a few hours, well my dad didn't call me to tell me what the outcome is.... even though i know that it was a matter of time... and now I can't sleep and I am sitting here trying to get my mind off things and drinking wine... Sucks, my FI is so supportive right now though. I cancelled all the lessons I have to teach for the rest of the week, assuming the worst... And I can't teach when I am crying so... I just hope that she is at rest and with my grandfather.. And that she is happy... Sorry to be such a downer...

YEAH! you have so many fun and exciting emotions to deal with right now! Go with your gut! AND HAVE FUN.... Tell your hubby ASAP silly girl!

Thank you girls. I was her 2nd grandaughter out of 24 and it is hard, she had me go into her room and say goodbye prior to them taking her off her IV's and she told me that she would be with me on my wedding day and that she loves my FI. I feel heartbroken but good about our last memory together. She asked me to make sure that the family stays together. Ugh. And why does it always rain when someone passes?

I have to say, I have asthma and I know that sometimes my meds have an affect on me. If you have any other types on meds you are on other than BC, this may be mixing with it or be part of the problem.

Hi Ladies, I just was thinking of this forum and how much I have enjoyed it since I have been engaged. I feel as if I can relate to you without knowing you. I have been away for a week due to my grandmothet being in ICU suddenly. appears that she will be passing this evening sometime and I wanted to ask you for your prayers as she goes on. She was an amazing woman and went quickly after a heart attack on easter sunday left her ill all week. she was amazing in the fact that she was able to be up long enough to visit with everyone in the family and say goodbye. I hope to someday be like her and have a family that loves and supports one another. She created a family and kept us all together in a way that you don't often see anymore. Death puts all of our small problems and worries into prespective. Thanks for listening. Kim
