  1. Thanks for all of the "welcomes"! I was torn between all of the places to choose from too, but had a friend who was married at an RIU Palace property and loved it...I just decided to go with word of mouth...otherwise it seemed soooo overwhelming...I wish I discovered this site sooner...I know it will help a lot in my future planning! Everyone is so nice and has soo much to share! I love it!

Do you guys have pics of their restaurant for larger crowd? Thanks so much!!! I'm new to the forum as of today! We are also getting married at the RPRM. We just got our confirmation number back from our travel agent the other day, and I am super anxious to take care of other details. Have any of you girls thought about your tables for your dinner? Are you going to bring decorations for it? Or not? Also, I always wanted to get married on the beach, but am not sure because I heard it draws a crowd...what do you think about the beach vs. the gazebo

I am getting married there in July of 2008...have you heard anything from the WC at the hotel yet? Are you planning on having any sort of reception after the wedding? It kind of sounds like they don't really have a place for a reception and I was just wondering what you were planning for after the wedding/evening of the wedding, if anything. I know we won't have a traditional wedding reception, but I'm trying to get ideas for what to plan that evening, if anything...
  4. A friend of mine got married 2 years ago at the RIU Palace Mexico - they loved it and had so many wonderful things to say about it that we have chosen to get married at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya (slightly newer property...very similar set ups...I debated between the two resorts forever, but then just decided to go with the other one for variety
  5. I will be getting married at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya in July of 08. I'm kind of nervous about not speaking with anyone at the hotel until the "2 months" before the ceremony... Is anyone else a little nervous about this? Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as far as planning goes
  6. My name is Rachel and I'm getting married July 31, 2008 at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya in Playa del Carmen Mexico.
