  1. Hi everyone, yay for Maura changing the name of this thread so we can still talk to each other. I have been slack with getting on here, and I just can't wait to look at everyone's pics. My pro pics are not here yet but as soon as we get them I will post them. I did post some the week we got back before we went on our honeymoon and I need to get onto that thread also. Thinking a day off work is in order so I can get up to date with BDW. I also just love being married and yesterday was the first time I had to be introduced to someone and Dave was like "Andy please meet my wife" oh it felt so grown up and wonderful. I just think I love him more every day. I still have stuff all over the house that I need to sort out and I can't wait to start a photobook or two. We tried for a baby on the honeymoon but I think the pina colada's got in the way as it was not to be... oh well next month we'll give it another go!
  2. Well I have a few minutes before we hop on a plane to head off to Vanuatu for our honeymoon, but here are some pics slideshow pics manda0812/The wedding - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting will write some more in a few weeks but it was the most amazing week and day and we just had the best time.
  3. I'm all for a group work gift, get the girls to all chip in and then buy her something nice. that way rather than her getting 20 $20 gifts, she gets one really nice one.

I can't believe I'm getting married Saturday! It's nuts. His parents leave tomorrow for DR! enjoy these last days leading up the big day and all the best for a great day, we look forward to pics - of course!! xx
  5. never heard of anything like this.. quite interesting.. out with the 70's fondue parties and in with the electric marinator parties, yum!
  6. I enjoyed living in London when I was younger, I was a nanny and just loved it. have been back 5 times and I never convert or I would feel sick. and going through heathrow is a nightmare, lucky it was easy this time but they make you feel guilty just by looking at you!! you are getting up some serious airmiles going from Japan to London back to Fiji.. wow!
  7. who has time to do this! I wonder if a certain brand makes better dresses. at least you wouldn't have far to go to the bathroom, you have all the help you need right in your dress.. weird.. the only other time I have seen this is at Eva Longoria's shower, we don't have this little custom in Australia..

I love these crystals, so many beautiful things you can make... maybe one day when I am a mum and have some time (or is that a myth..)
  9. Congrats guys, an awesome indication of how great you are on here, i love reading your posts and feel like I know you. I am hoping one day one of you lovely ladies from BDW will want to visit Australia!
  10. great pics maura, looks like a lot of fun and the presents look amazing - from the wrapping anyway.. I love the tea party invite. With 12 days to go - what's left - flower girl baskets - buy lipstick - print out grandparents photos - buy FI present - leaving it until last minute aren't I - no idea what to get him. and that's it, finished the last of my DIY chores tonight - made two wine charms for our champage glasses ... yay feels good to have the list all but ticked off
  11. great theme, there are some seriously hot looking legs in that bunch! looks like a blast
  12. My great uncle's name was Ronald McDonald - shame he wasn't part of the chain! There is a guy at our work called Wayne Kerr.. wa**ker - not as bad as the Clap though - I can't even spell that poor girls name..
  13. I love this song and this movie! do you know where you can download it as this video cuts out from time to time.. does anyone have the song in its entirety?
  14. great pics, so many awesome shots, I love your BM dress. You look beautiful and so happy, love the buggy that took you to the ceremony..
  15. beautiful dress, i love the satin ribbon on the waste.. I guess you could do that in any colour if you wanted to, look forward to seeing a pic of you in it
  16. I love both dresses, yours is very flattering and will be great on the beach. My 9 year old flower girls are wearing light white cotton dresses, thin straps and to the knee with silver flip flops. I think anything light and cotton would be suitable
  17. 3 and 1 are my favourites, #1 is very flattering at the top, a great shape, and #3 lace is beautiful..
  18. beautiful, it's big on my screen, you guys look so happy and the outfit is great
  19. a great present and frees up some cash for other exciting things. Enjoy dress shopping. Good incentive to keep studying.. all worth it in the long run
  20. Stunning dress, you look like you could have walked down the aisle then and there, very natural beauty
  21. Thanks everyone for your kind words. I now can't wait to wear the dress! 12 days to go..
  22. aah so that's the answer, watch top model and learn all the tips, do you think I could learn in 13 days.. I am so worried some of my pics are going to come out ugly with double chins or wrinkly eyes
  23. Thanks guys, I have been agonising over the dress for weeks and just last weekend I realised it was ok and everything was going to be fine. Oh yes the night was a laugh and so many people came up to us and random people took photos of us, it was hilarious. we have decided we don't need to buy any new clothes, we can just go out in costume every time, you are treated as minor celebs!
  24. Hi all, I have mainly been spending time in the July Brides thread but thought I would step out and post some photos. I had been putting off posting photos of my fitting as I was not 100% happy with my dress or hair but since I have decided to now wear my hair down (it is just below my shoulders) and straight with a few loose bits up and bring the veil forward, I feel much better. Also I had a second fitting (where I forgot to get photos!!) and it fitted better and I was much happier. Just 13 days to go, am very excited about everything and do not feel one bit stressed yet... and to give you a laugh I have posted some photos of my hens night, it was a great night where we all dressed up in costume, the theme was fairytale meets superhero. we started off with cocktails and mexican food then a bus took us to various bars around town. it was a great night and I was so blesses to have so many good friends who wanted to celebrate with me. Horrible side view Swarowski crystals on straps, buttons and veil also crystals on neckline, bust area is much tighter now Wonder bride off to save the world all the girls cocktails - note straw very appropriate for drink!
