I'm so sorry!!! I've had strep quite a few times and it's not fun... but antibiotics will definitely help to clear it up quickly. W/in a few days on antibiotics you should be feeling a lot better. Just make sure you take them regularly and finish off the prescription even once you start to feel better (and know that antibiotics interferes w/ the effectiveness of the pill as was mentioned in a prior post). Try and get good rest the next few days and I hope you feel better!!!

I would go with the shop as well. In the end the costs will probably be somewhat similar, but going with the shop will save you a lot of grief in trying to find a seamstress, etc. BTW which Maggie Sottero dress is it? I just bought one and I love it!

Yup... I already am having sleepless nights thinking of all the things I have to do. The UPS man is becoming my new best friend. I still have to send out the invites... not to mention MAKE THEM! Haha... I have all the materials now and I've set aside this coming entire weekend to work on them and get them sent out... I also want to get going on a wedding website. Oh... and sew the colored table overlays I'm making (still waiting to hear from WC as to the table measurements). I still have to do the iron ons for the OOT bags... and so many other things... I, too, better stop here before I give myself a heart attack.

Hmmm... having a hard time finding a place with competitive prices. I found this Buy a cashmere scarf or pashmina shawl online. Free cds but there could be customs issues. I'll keep looking and let you know if I come up with anything.

Good luck finding something, Heidi! You might want to consider some of the changes you could do to the house as far as renovations. If the house is in a decent area and has the right 'bones' so much can be done. Alex and I bought a house two years ago and with a lot of hard work and a bit of money into it the house is a completely different house. We actually lived in the unfinished basement for 6 months while we worked on the upstairs. It was crazy, but so worth it in the end. I'll have to post pics in the 'show your house' thread when I get a moment. Good luck finding something! Oh... and I agree with Morgan and the other girls... you don't want to rush into buying a house. A good option might be to find something for the two of you to rent for 6 months or so after the wedding while you continue the house hunt. Good luck!

Is it just me or is there no code on the website for the cheaper turquoise pashminas? ie the codes starting with ISO listed for $3.75 - I assume these are the ones we are going with... they have the more expensive turquoise listed (code PWO for $4.25)... is this possibly because of their backlog?

I'm still not sure what to do... ideally I would hyphenate, but FI and I both have difficult last names (both to spell and pronounce) - so hyphenating would be a nightmare. FI has offered to take mine - we're still really undecided... I do think, though, that it will be nice for us to both have the same last name as we want children eventually and it will make it so much easier if we all have the last name.

I also vote for dress 1 - it's what you love, though, that matters and what you're going to feel most special in... but I do think dress 1 looks gorgeous on you and I love the style of it.

All of my guests are staying 7 nights or longer. Alex's family is coming from Germany and Australia; my family is coming from BC and we're in Ottawa. Everyone is making a longer holiday out of it (especially with the distance for some). My sister and her family are going for two weeks - one week traveling around a bit and then a week in Playa for our wedding.
