  1. I also sent a request. I know the videos are fabulous and the photo examples are gorgeous. I'm anxious to see a full wedding!!
  2. Your wedding was gorgeous!!!! Your dress, the colors, the details and your sheer happiness and love for one another is breathtaking. Congratulations! Looking forward to the review!

It was a touch rude to ignore my phone calls and send an email from the group that was avoiding my calls. Also, they should have talked to me about the resort first and not ask 12 hours after I booked it... wait until they had all of the facts. I think what they are going to do is fly in on Saturday and stay at a larger AI then come to Playa Fiesta on Tuesday-Sunday so they can be with the family and group. That is more than fine with me! Great, I'm so glad it's worked out!
  4. I just created a new thread for Azul Sensatori Brides in the Riviera Maya section. Pop on in once you know!
  5. I can see why you're upset, especially since it is your wedding party too. Playa Fiesta looks awesome for weddings, but I can see their point on wanting a little more variety and choice during their vacation. On the other hand, the beauty of Playa Fiesta is all the dinners and events that you can plan for you wedding. That's a tough one! If you are planning to do a lot of activities, maybe try to talk about it before they book another resort. Any way they can spend time at another resort and stay one or two nights at Playa Fiesta?
  6. Since there are a few of us booked now and hopefully more to come I thought it would be great to start our very own thread. Also it can be a good place to find info on booking a wedding there and hopefully we can be a resource to others.   7. Yay, yay, yay!!!!!! Another Sensatori wedding. When I read your reviews, it sounded perfect for you! {crossing fingers for you}
  8. We used your template with some tweaks here and there. We are hoping to print them this week. I'm very excited. I'll be sure to post pics!
  9. Congratulations!!!! I have been waiting patiently for your review and to hear how the flower situation panned out. I bet your pics and video are going to be breathtaking! I love your flowers, dress, colors, everything!!!! I'll be looking forward to more pics!
  10. Wow what a great site visit! You guys saw a ton while you were there. You thought you were overwhelmed before you went, but now you have all of this to sort through! First off, XCarat Park would be breathtaking for a wedding and I can only imagine $$$! It was really fun to see wedding option pics from there! I totally know what you mean about Azul Beach! We loved the look and feel of the resort, but the rooms stink and we were in a "larger one". We didn't have a chance to see the suite but it is very nice and the only way to go for a wedding IMO. We also thought that it might be a little too quiet and too small. I think the Paradisus is a strong choice for a wedding. We liked the size of the resrt, the pools and the rooms. However we thought food and drinks were better at Azul. Like you we wanted to pick and choose what parts we like and create our own perfect resort. That is what lead us to booking at Azul Sensatori. It is not open yet, but I think it will be a great mix of what we are going for. Dreams Cancun also looks great, but my fiance is a and didn't want to be married at a place called "dreams". I was mad at him for a few days because I thought that was the dumbest thing I have ever heard and Dreams Resorts get rave reviews for weddings. But it's his wedding too, right? Beach Palace looks great too! So many choices!!!! Have fun deciding!
  11. Here is a little treat for the Paradisus brides. I really like this resort and still hold it close to my heart, even though we have chosen a resort down the road. I came across these photos yesterday. Hopefully they will add to your excitement for your upcoming wedding! Mexican Wedding Photos.com BTW: has anyone used mexicanweddingphotos.com or dealt with them? I read earlier in this thread that it was associated with Claudia Rodriguez.
  12. I'm sharing my date too! It also freaked me out, but then I read the EDR reviews and they all say they feel like the only wedding that day. I think we might have the same TA! What are you thinking for photographers?

I really like this place, but really need someone there that I feel like is actually helping me, and not putting me off. Like I said, I really struggled with Nancy, but she is who responded after I initially send a email to [email protected]. Fabio is well known to my TA and was referred to many times by the on-site coordinators at Azul Beach during our meeting. After seeing Azul Beach, meeting the coordinators and seeing a wedding there, I trust that they know what they are doing. I also am more at ease knowing that we are going to visit Azul Sensatori after it opens to finalize plans on site. It takes the coordinators several days, if not a week to respond. It is my understanding that this is not unique to only Karisma hotels. I'm sure they are swamped with emails, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. If you are wanting your date, I recommend filling out the wedding application on line. They will let you know if it is available and send a contract. You then have 48 hours to make a deposit, $200. At least by applying, you might be able to ask more questions and get straight forward answers once they know you're serious. Watch my wedding be a complete disaster after all this faith I am putting into these people!
  14. I think it is right next to Azul Beach. It took about 20 minutes to get there from the airport.
  15. Your wedding was beautiful! I had a feeling it would be from when you posted the teaser pic. Congratulations!!!!
  16. Welcome to the forum! We are getting married the same time next year. I remember feeling like you do! It is overwhelming. A good place to start is by reading through posts in the Riviera Maya section of this forum. I am going to list some helpful websites that I have used along the way: Find a Mexican Resort - StrayWeddings.com - Destination Weddings in Mexico Playa del Carmen Hotels Information - Visit Playa del Carmen Mexico Riviera Maya weddings - Wedding planners and wedding coordinators organize beach ceremonies and packages in Riviera Maya Riviera Maya Hotels, Resorts, Rentals: Mexican Caribbean Vacation As mentioned before, most hotels/resorts have their own coordinator so a planner usually isn't needed. Good luck!!!

  19. Congratulations! You'll be leaving for the big day before you know it!!!!

Also, I want to have sol as a photographer and I understand that is difficult at Azul. Still, I am really regretting not seeing Azul Beach and I am worried that the two places I am choosing between: Esencia and Ana y Jose are going to be too expensive. I'm even considering going back to see Azul. Also, can anyone comment on the reception site. Are there private areas for your guests to eat dinner and dance or will hotel guests be a part of your party . . . . Thanks soooo much! Sarah Have you been emailing with any of the coordinators? Our coordinator before booking was Nancy and I was not too impressed with her. She messed up our site visit. Luckily we called while we were in MX and were still able to meet with the onsite coordinators. After booking we have had some correspondence with Fabio and he seems to be better. I haven't done any planning since it isn't open yet as far as ceremony or reception sites. We really liked Azul Beach, but it was a bit small, the pools were small and the rooms were not very nice. I think Azul Sensatori will be a better fit for us. If you really want Sol I would get in writing that she will be approved for shooting your wedding if at Azul. I'm sure they can do a private beach reception. The covered reception area is nice too. Although it is connected to the restaurant and separating the 2 areas is a glass window. It was dark and you couldn't really see. Not a deal breaker for me. Good luck! If you need some email addresses let me know!

  24. We are getting married there in April. I am a little anxious about it not being open yet, but we did see a wedding at Azul Beach and we really thought it was nice. I think in the package you can have your reception included for 40 people in the Spoon restaurant. If you want a private dinner you pay extra. If you have any other questions let me know. We will be going down after they open in October to pick our ceremony and reception locations.
