  1. So I was at Michaels today on my lunch break- i spend way too many lunch breaks in that place- and I found these tissue paper flowers by Martha Stewart. I bought 2 packs of them in varying shades of pink and I'm just gonna wing it with them when i get to Jamaica! I think if I attach a pink ribbon to each one in varying lengths it will look cool. Any thoughts
  2. I was just in there today and in $1 bins they had scented travel candles, some were monogramed, along with tons of stationary- notepads, thank you cards, journals... If your colors are pink, bright blue, or bright green you should definitley go!
  3. I LOVE jewelry! Earrings I made for my BMs- amethyst Earrings I made for ladies who are throwing my shower:
  4. Thanks, I had not even thought about customs going there, only coming back.
  5. Has anyone seen pics of a beach gazebo decorated with paper lanterns instead of flowers? I did a search but only came up with reception sites pics. I am having my BMs carry pink parasols instead of flowers and I'm thinking of buying lots of pink paper lanterns in varying shapes and sizes to hang inside the gazebo. Seems like a cool alternative in my head but I wish I could see a picture to know if its pretty or pretty tacky! Gracias Court
  6. Everything looked beautiful! Congratulations : ) One question, did they charge you to hang the flowers you brought?
  7. Thanks so much for the review, you've got my wheels turning now. Incase you still need to know how to post pics: the easiest way is to upload your photos on photobucket.com. Once you upload the photos, each one will have a list of 3 or 4 codes below it. Copy the code labeled IMG and paste it into a message here on BDW. The pic will show up once you post the message.
  8. Silk Rose petals 2000 Silk Rose Petals Fuchsia - Wedding Rose Petals $35 for 2000petals Silk Rose Petals and Silk Flowers $18 for 1000 petals or $5 for 200
  9. I'm making my own coconut scented soap, but this gave me an idea for how to package it. Thanks!
  10. If I were getting married here I would expect to way well over $1000 for pictures, but I would also be getting way more for my money! That's my issue. He doesn't offer any appealing packages.
  11. No one going with me is a professional photog, but I think Michael's prices are outrageous! I'm doing the free package, so 3 hours of coverage and 100 photos would be $910! I really want high quality photos but I just think that is highway robbery. Maybe the gov't will issue those extra refund checks and I won't feel so bad about spending this money. What to do....?

  15. I finally got the photbucket thing working for me : ) so I updated the original post but there are still some pics that are only in the attachment b/c I only have them saved in a word doc.

We just melted the wax in a pot over the stove and then took each bottle, turned it upside down and dipped it into the wax. We had to do 2 coats on each one. Be prepared to ruin one of your pots! We actually spray painted the pot when we were done, added some wicks and turned it into a giant scented candle! How did you dip the bottle in the wax without the sand pouring out and without the string getting into the wax? Is the bottle corked before you dip it into the wax? Thanks!
  19. Thats where I got mine from too. I ordered them last week and I started putting them together tonight. I'll post a pic this weekend when I finish them.
  20. I love it! I thought about pink and orange originally and everyone told me I was crazy, but it looks so good together!
  21. I actually started my message in a bottle invites tonight and I was trying to figure out how they would get the message out without dumping the sand- the string is a great idea. Can you tell me how the wax seal works? I saw the wax sticks at hobby lobby tonight but there weren't any directions.
