THANKS!!! Jennifer the evening entertainment starts at 8pm every night. There are random games that take place at the activity pool and in the lobby throughout the day. As for excursions, you don't book those thru the hotel directly. Whichever travel company you have booked your trip thru will have a representative in the lobby everyday and you will book excursions thru them. But here is what i remember: dunns river- $20 canopy tour- $80 horseback riding- $70 Shopping- $7 there is also swimming with dolphins, Bob Marley tour, botanical gardens, ATVs....
  2. The chairs are plastic, but in pictures you can't tell. You can get white covers and color sashes for $10 per chair. I brought my own decorations for the gazebo b/c I had something very specific in mind.

If you want to use your Ipod I think it's worth it to invest in a high quality sound dock, like a bose and then you don't have to pay for a DJ. The main reason I say this is b/c even if the DJ has a computer to hook up to your ipod, if he has his own itunes on the computer you cannot plug your ipod into his itunes b/c it will run an update and clear your music off your ipod.
  4. I would check with Chandlyn about having bar drinks at any of the receptions held at restaurants b/c normally the restuarants only serve water, tea, and wine. (at least that's all I recall) The $10pp fee is to pay to have a bartender at the Seagrape bar, which is located on the beach, and normally closes at sundown. If you want drinks inside a restaurant I don't know why you would pay a per person fee when the bar is open and free to everyone. I think you would come out better just slipping your waiter a little cash and asking him to keep the bar drinks coming! If you are at the Plantation, maybe you would have to pay to open the pool bar on that side of the resort b/c it is normally closed at dark too.
  5. Check out Jmhein's wedding review, she had the free tropical flowers. The other option is a small bouquet of daisys or carnations in your choice of color.

  9. My wedding was at noon, so I did everything totally different that most of the brides. We had the ceremony, took pics, then had a lunch reception at Mammee Bay, cut cake and had toasts, then rented the disco from 2-4 and danced the afternoon away. When we were done at 4 we went back to the beach and had our TTD session. If I had it to do again the only thing I wished I had know was that the food at Mammee Bay is different at lunch time than at dinner. So instead of a great steak dinner I had a hamburger. I should have had lunch at Mammee Bay but still requested to have my formal dinner reception there too. But instead, we changed after the TTD and met our peeps at St. Anns to eat and hang out and then we all went to the beach party. And really, none of it matters now cuz we are married and enjoying life and I can laugh at the fact that I had a hamburger at my wedding!

Clear crystals I can definitely do, the only thing about "aqua" is that there are so many shades of blue it's hard to get a good match without a swatch or something to compare the color too, but I can try...
  11. April 17th was the date we wanted, which was 8 year anniversary of our 1st kiss, but the previous week was spring break so we went with April 12th so that our friends who are teachers and those with kids would be able to come.
  12. How about a locket or Tiffany-style bracelet that you can engrave. If ya'll have been friends for a long time you could make a scrapbook of your fav memories. And if you're not crafty there are lots of sellers on etsy.com that have premade scrapbooks and you just add in your pics. Or how about a giftcard/save the date for something fun for ya'll to do together like a cooking class.

  15. I voted strappy b/c as a busty girl myself I can wear strapless but it's rarely flattering. I think a v-neck is a universal good look.
  16. Christina Congrats Girl!!! I know you have been through a lot over the past few months and I'm so glad you got the wedding day of your dreams! Everything looked beautiful!

You can pay $10pp to have it opened for a private party at night. It normally closes after dark so you are paying for the bartender not the drinks. The disco is $250 for 2 hours and includes the DJ and bartender.

They use them at the ceremony and at the reception for that price.
