I'm guessing that every resort is a little different and it probably depends on how formal you want things to be, but I don't want to pay for extra stuff at an AI either so we are having our welcome reception at one of the bars and I'm just going to get their early and claim an area. And I bet if you want to do a rehearsal dinner your onsite WC could make you a reservation at one of the restuarants so you can all sit together.

I did something really similar for my guestbook- except I paid someone else to make all the pages! Yours look much more intricate. I took it to my shower last weekend so the people who can't come to the wedding could still be in it and it was a huge hit! The ladies wrote really nice things and good advice. I'm thinking I might also attach the cards they gave me to their page.

I don't its in poor taste. Fi and I are paying for our entire wedding on our own with the exception of my dress which my mother paid for. In place of a "gift" we bought our moms dresses for the wedding and then once we get all of our pics I am going to make a photobook on shutterfly for each of our moms.

My sis had a maggie n diamond white and I thought it lookd more elegant on her than white. His shirt was white but with vest, but I agree no one looks at groom!
