  1. I never heard of that. I thought they always got their commission from the airline, resort, hotel.... Our TA got a VERY nice commission off of all our bookings but we paid nothing out of pocket for her services. I would find someone else!! Quickly!

  4. I would start checking department stores in March. I know Dillards and Macys had them in stock around that time this year. I wouldn't worry about alterations, men's stuff can normally be done in a week or less.

I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted and she was able to come up with just the right pieces to pull my wedding look together! I LOVE THEM!!! Plus she's so sweet and threw in an extra “something blue†and it’s amazing! Thank you Courtney! I'm so glad you are pleased with the way everything turned out! Now hurry and get married so I can see the whole look together
  6. I've never heard of a digital perm, but it looks really nice! Very natural looking. I had one of those crazy curl perms back in the 80's...
  7. we were there in April and had no issues with fleas, in fact i don't recall hearing any mention of them until June/July.

  14. I did not have a pool or beach reception, but I only remember wine being served inside the restaurants. The bars had liquor, beer, and frozen drinks.

Check out Lizz's review and pics to see what it looks like.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend that you use a primer such as Kilz, prior to painting of course - you will NOT regret this. As for the color, I would go with a sandpaper, taupe, or italian leather......I would set it off with fantastic drapes that are a deep chocolate, fabulous deep red/cranderry color.....be sure to get extra long drapes and hang the rod much higher than the window sill and allow the fabric to drape on your floor (kinda like a slouch) and then go to TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby or Michael's and find some rustic ornamental pices to go over the window (between the top of the curtains and your ceiling) this will allow for a beautiful dramtic effect. Your room is large so play it up and have fun. I hope this helps I like the sound of italian leather, is that an actual paint color name or just a family of colors? Can you elaborate on the ornamental pieces? Do you mean like those metal sculpture type things? Thanks for you input!!! Too bad you don't live in Atlanta, you'd have a new client!

That's one option we've been considering- Painting the room taupe and then just the wall with the fire place and the wall that separates the dining from the kitchen a chocolate brown. I want to paint the cabinets in the kitchen white too.
  22. Sooooooooooo I've decided to sell my dress. It is tag size 16 but fits a regular dress size 12. It is ivory with mocha beading. The sash and broach are attached. There is a short train that has been bustled, I'm trying to find a pic of the bustle... I have had it dry cleaned and preserved. Asking price $500 OBO PM me if you are interested. I don't know how much shipping will cost, but I am willing to pay part of the shipping costs.
  23. I love the cap sleeve! Those are hard to pull off for a lot of girls but they look perfect on you!
  24. DH and I bought our house last October with all sorts of grand plans for decorating, but we can't agree on anything! I love the high ceilings and hardwoods but the entire downstairs is open so whatever color we choose we have to really like it b/c there is gonna be a lot of it! The yellow and maroon walls and all the window treatments are from the previous owners and need to go. The only color we can agree on is taupe, does anyone have any suggestions? I need a decorator bad.
