I would recommend a quality paint like Ralph Lauren, Martha Stewart, or Eddie Bauer for your room, becuase you will typically only need one coat with the higher quality. Also, I HIGHLY recommend that you use a primer such as Kilz, prior to painting of course - you will NOT regret this. As for the color, I would go with a sandpaper, taupe, or italian leather......I would set it off with fantastic drapes that are a deep chocolate, fabulous deep red/cranderry color.....be sure to get extra long drapes and hang the rod much higher than the window sill and allow the fabric to drape on your floor (kinda like a slouch) and then go to TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby or Michael's and find some rustic ornamental pices to go over the window (between the top of the curtains and your ceiling) this will allow for a beautiful dramtic effect. Your room is large so play it up and have fun. I hope this helps
I like the sound of italian leather, is that an actual paint color name or just a family of colors? Can you elaborate on the ornamental pieces? Do you mean like those metal sculpture type things? Thanks for you input!!! Too bad you don't live in Atlanta, you'd have a new client!
