  1. I used to live in Daytona Beach, Fl aka Crack Town USA and my neighbors were crackheads- literally. They would sit on the stoop outside of my apt and wait for me to come home so they could ask to use my cell phone, borrow money, sell me pieces of their furniture, and one time they even asked if they could borrow $20 and in exchange they would let me "hold" their TV until they paid me back. It got to the point that I was afraid they were going to break in apartment while I was at work so I started leaving the TV's on all day so they wouldn't know if someone was in the apt. It was ridiculous. And what's worse is they had a infant that cried all the time, probably b/c they didn't feed her enough.
  2. Hey everything looks fantastic! I love the jewelry and the ties!! Just a word of caution- we used the same type frame for our sand ceremony and the sand started leaking out about 2 days after the wedding. The panes of glass move back an forth just slightly, but it's enough space for the sand to slip out. You might want to put a little hot glue along the side of each pane of glass and then slide it into place. We ended up pouring out the sand before we left b/c it was going to be a big mess.
  3. that dress is gonna be super sexy in the water! And I can't tell that's it a lil big.

We danced to The Stars Look Up At You- I don't know if thats the name of the song but thats the chorus. It was the longest 1st dance ever!!! I had no idea it was like a 5 minute song. Alex- I'll have to get song names from the boy b/c that was his one duty for the wedding. Some of the songs weren't really about our love though, they were just representative of a specific time in our relationship. I'm out of town today for work, so I'll get back with ya tomorrow.
  6. I think the time of year makes more of a difference than the day of the week. We got married on a saturday in April and there were 2 other weddings, but I honestly didn't notice on the day of. But on the thursday before our wedding there were 4 weddings and the times were super close, like 12:30, 2, and 2:30. Our guests all stayed Thur-Monday, and we stayed Wed- Sat (10days)
  7. Have a fabulous time!!! BTW, I totally read your post wrong the 1st time and thought you were going to post a pic of your Brazilian wax- lol.

We didn't do playlist for the DJ at the reception, just gave him a CD with the song for our first dance which was a Kindred song.

Meeting you & TK was cool & you 2 are just the cutest couple! Thanks!! I missed your ceremony b/c we went horseback riding, but I could tell everything went perfectly once I saw you guys taking pics and everything. On your wedding day I think I saw Chris at every single bar at some point! Guess he was trying to pass the time-lol. It was so nice meeting ya'll and it sounds like we will see ya'll next year, same time same place!
  10. One plus for Davids Bridal is that they allow you to take pictures of yourself in the dress. Every other bridal store i went to would not allow pictures until you purchase the dress. I'm sure this is so that you can't take the picture to a seamstress and have the dress replicated, which i completely understand. But I also think you don't know what you look like until you see your self in a picture. So..... if someone goes with you and they just happen to have a camera phone...
  11. Sure, from left to right: Brittany, Twinkletoes, Twelve Piece, & JA Bride

Hmmm... i think photobucket is the easiest way. And I just finished reading your review and you know i'm jealous that you got to stay an extra night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If so, when you save the photos make sure they are jpeg not png file. That was giving me error messages when I tried to post Robins pics.
  15. If it makes you feel any better, we picked a kid friendly place, and picked a date during spring break to accommodate some family members with children- who didn't end up coming at all!- But I really didn't even notice the kids at the resort most of the time. Occasionally at the buffet i wanted to ask them if they had washed their hands and where their mother was.... but overall I hardly noticed they were there.

Thank you I walked in to Canon in D. The band played some kind of music during the sand ceremony and the signing of the marriage certificate but i didn't even hear it until I watched the video later.
  17. These designers carry plus-size dresses: Ashley Jordan Anjolique Bonny Impression Joli Mon Cheri
  18. I think A-line is the most flattering silhouette b/c it canvases the hips, butt, and thighs. IMHO, if you have a larger chest, you might want to avoid a halter neckline b/c it tends to emphasize the bust. I am a DDD and anything halter just makes me look like one big boob. Also, I know a lot of girls like Davids Bridal and I think they are great for some people, but I felt like I looked bigger in their dresses than I did in dresses from other bridal stores. I think the way they are cut just didn't fit my body shape well. So if you go there, you might also want to go to a few other places just to compare. Happy shopping!
  19. Your pics make me want to be back in Jamaica! EVERYTHING just looks perfect and I can tell ya'll had so much fun all day!
  20. Everything looks perfect!! I can't wait for you to leave so you can hurry back
  21. Enjoy every second!! And remember to relax, it's your day!
  22. I only send a gift it I'm missing a wedding that i actually wanted to go to. If it's someone who is just a random associate and I don't go to the wedding i don't send a gift. I figure we come out even- they didn't spend $50 to feed me green beans, rice, and chicken so i'm not sending them a crock pot. I'm pretty sure thats not proper, but neither is inviting random people to share in your wedding!
  23. I put my bouquet in the the garmet bag with my dress so it wouldn't get squished.
