Did you make them with stretch cord or beading wire? I have toyed around with the stretch cord but i'm not convinced it's strong enough.

We got bit up the entire time we were there. Saturday at the Beach party we were all down there and people were bit up from their toes to their faces. One girl with us had, I am not exaggerating, 30 flea bites on the back of one leg. My MIL got 4 bites on her cheeks by her eyes. Even during our wedding we saw them all jumping around. It was pretty disgusting! DANG! We didn't have that problem when we were there, but that's crazy! Does OFF work for fleas?
  5. Your dress is really pretty and fits you wonderfully! Since you have an almost square neckline and it doesn't dip too low in the front, I don't think you have to have a necklace. Maybe you could just wear a bracelet and earrings. But if you want a necklace I would definitely say to keep it very simple so it doesn't compete with your dress and something a little shorter than the necklace you have on in the picture. But I really don't think you need a necklace, just MHO though
  6. I came across this site tonight and thought some of you might be interested. There are step-by-step instructions to make a simple barefoot sandal that looks fancy. I just glanced over the instructions and they seem pretty easy, just a time consuming project b/c the beads used are very small. BFS2
  7. I think we are all just smarter than the outside world. Wedding planning must increase brain cells. I sent out message in a bottle invites and virtually no one opened it. I didn't know i needed to include a note in the box that said "OPEN ME!" 1 of the GM thought it was a gift- why would I send you a bottle of sand as a gift?? And who wouldn't be curious about what was written on the scroll inside? Anyhow, i think your RSVP is cute.
  8. I would go with the $1 bags and put more stuff in the bag. A lot of my guests used the bags for their wet shoes, dirty clothes,... so it really didn't matter how nice the bag was. And some people used them for the beach and they they didn't feel bad about throwing the sandy bag away at the end of the weekend b/c i told them they were inexpensive. I think they may have felt obligated to keep the bag if it was something i spent a lot of $ on.

You can never go wrong with pearls or something very simple. I think a necklace is good b/c it brings people's eyes up to your face instead of at your chest.
  10. The first quote seems really high, but the second one sounds reasonable if there isn't a really high base price on top of the $400 for the hi-res images. I wouldn't buy the low res b/c they will not be as sharp when you print them, even in a book-especially if you try to do a full page of a single image. You might want to ask the photographer if they have an assistant who could do the session at a lower rate.
  11. That's pretty cool!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that they pick you!
  12. Morgan, I don't know how i missed this but CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

  14. Can you download them off of Limewire? I think that site is free
  15. We just had a friend video for us and although its not that great, it will do for memory sake. For some reason our minister didn't have a mic so the sound is not that great. You can hear everything i say b/c I was facing the camera but DH had his back turned to the camera most of the time so you can barely make it out. I have heard very mixd reviews about the video from ROR, but i think no matter where you go you just have to decide how important is it really. How many times will you actually watch it? If you are planning an AHR then it might be worth it to have a nice pro video to play.
  16. Have a wonderful time!! And don't worry about the weather, it always says rain but rarely does this time of year. Enjoy every moment and take lots of pics
  17. Everything looks so amazing!! And I owe you a HUGE THANK YOU for the hanging flower instructions!!!!! So many people have asked me about mine and I couldn't remember for the life of me who I got the instructions from.
  18. I didn't see any poolside receptions when i was there, but I can tell you that there is a bar at both pools and they are normally closed at nighttime b/c the pools close at dark to be treated so it would still be private. And there is plenty of space, you can just move the chairs and tables around to make a dance floor space. They had christmas lights in different colors wrapped around the columns by the bar one night.

After I told her that I would prefer too see them first and to hold off on posting them, I never got a response. Granted, she really stays swamped, but I thought for sure that by a month, I would have gotten the digital proofs by now. I'm sure it will be worth the wait. But ummm yea, I would need to see my BD or TTD photos before they got plastered on the internet!
  24. It was scorching hot, but FI survived in his suit. We didn't ask GM to wear suits though. Just don't get a wool blend suit!
