ABeverage: Yes, the photos are so expensive. It has me a bit upset. My FH says no way but I can not imagine not getting it so he is coming around. I'm budgeting for it. It is $1000 for just the CD. No photos included. They have packages but I wrote them and finally got them to respond in writing with a quote for the CD. Here is the link that describes the photo pacakges. https://www.image.com/html/pre_cruise.html Images is the company the RC uses. They also handle several other cruise line photos. The photographers on the ship are actually part of this company. They are starting to make images that they take on the cruise availalbe on their website after the cruise. I hope they have this up and running before October. bermudabride825: I'm excited about the scavenger hunt as well. My FH is super excited. We put alot of fun things on the list. If you would like me to send you a copy of it, send me a privite message with your email. Thanks.

I have so many albums at this point I’m not certain how many without counting. I have been scrapbooking for years. I have to laugh when I look at the ones that I did 10 + years ago as compared with the ones I’m doing now. Scrapbooking sure has changed. Now we have so many options to chose from… new papers, stickers, and cool tools like the Cricut. It makes my older albums look very very plain… but I still love them and wouldn’t change them. I did what I could with them at the time and still think they are cool.

Yes, We thought it would be cheaper as well. The Royal Romance Package for a shipboard ceremony is $1,500 and you really don’t get anything for that…. The room, a photographer (but NO photos), and flowers for the bride and groom. Crazy. We also had to give up another $500 for the filing of the paper work. We also get chocolate covered strawberries and champagne for two, my FH and I are wondering how to split this among our 40 guest. To get cake and fake champagne (Sprite) for everyone after it will be another $600. The photos are high. We would just like to buy a disk with the release and all the digital images. They want $1,000 for that. I have been looking at the photo packages and they are very high. We are having a reception at home so this is getting expensive. Now it is very hard for me to justify another $600 for cake on the ship when you get all that food included. Here is what my FH and I were thinking…. When we get onboard the ship… booking a conference room around the time of the wedding. After the wedding we will all meet in the conference room for a little warm wishes gathering…. and try to get RC to provide us with a birthday cake (they are free). A well placed cake topper can turn a birthday cake into a wedding cake right? …… oh my gosh…. I’m so tacky…. And cheap. Still I’m super excited and I have been working so hard to make everything so perfect. I’m planning a scavenger hunt for my guest on our first day at sea as a “get to know everyone†type event. I’m working on our OOT bags and got the cutest bags from Bath and Body at the outlet mall for 75% off. I love a deal. One more thing…. The voyager class ships have a wedding chapel on the ship that holds 40 people. Our guest list is rapidly approaching 40. Right now we are at 36. If we go over than we have to have a beach wedding and the cost is going to go up up up! They want $25 per person to take them to the wedding location AND… another $1000 for the new location… and on the beach they don’t provide music unless you want to rent something from them… another $500…. And cake and fake champagne for all…. Did I mention this wedding is a money pit? I am bridezilla….. Aren’t I? I’m still very happy. This is going to be great and I’m sure that everything will be worth it in the end.

It is funny . . . . It my FH was the one who pushed for the cruise. I’m the worrying that we wont get the alone time. I picked the Mariner of the Seas because it leaves out of Port Canaveral. I absolutely love Disney World and we have to fly into Orlando so for a little time before and after we spend some time in Disney World. Now he is asking his brother to come with us there. My FH really likes the idea that we will have everyone with us for the week. He thinks it is like stretching the celebrating (party) of our wedding for an entire week. I however feel like I’m loosing a bit of the honeymoon. He told me that we have the rest of our lives to take trips alone. I am really excited about getting the beach photos. I have to say… dreaming of a cruise wedding has been a whole lot different than the reality of it. First off… some of the people who really want to be there can’t afford it. Then I have a sister that gets vertigo on cruise ships and she is worried she is going to spend the entire week sick. And don’t get me started on the different personalities that we will be cruising with… I told my FH that I may just hide in on the balcony in our room with a good book and let the family fight it out. Even with all of that I’m still really looking forward to it. Also my FH said that he will take me for a nice romantic weekend after we get back to make up for it.

I'm a cruise bride. We are getting married on the Mariner of the Seas in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Oct 22, 2208 in the ship's chapel. How is it going with your wedding planners. The Royal Romance team. They are making me a little crazy.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE what you all are doing. Do you have a few that you could make me? I would be so much appreciative! I have been making some in Power Point but I’m not that happy with them. First Names: Stacy and Brian Last Initial: O Location: Ocho Rios, Jamaica Wedding Date: October 22, 2008 Wedding Color: Turquoise (006 on Color Chart) Bright Lime Green (022) Bright Pink (109) I'd also love to have a palm tree somehow incorporated, but I'm not picky and would love to see other designs. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I know I wasn’t clear. For Provo Crafts (Cricut’s) tool – Design Studio. With this program you can weld but you must purchase the cartridges as it checks to make sure you have the cartridge before it cuts. Provo Craft This is the software that I was saying cuts true type fonts but will not shadow or weld. Make sure that you download and install the computer driver for the Cricut before trying to use Sure Cuts A Lot Craft Edge: Scrapbook Software to Cut True Type Fonts and Shapes with Cricut Inkscape is a free program that you can download. Using this program you can weld and showdown true type fonts and save the files to be loaded into Sure Cuts A Lot to cut Inkscape. Draw Freely. Good Luck. I actually love my Cricut and will continue to purchase new cartridges when I see the ones I like, but I also like being able to hook it to my computer and cut any font I want.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my Cricut machine. It is the absolute best. Provo Craft was trying to make an affordable cutting machine that would only cut using their cartridges. Because their cartridges are about $60 they are making money from their cartridges. Mickey font is my personal favorite. If you buy Provo Crafts software it will allow you to “weld†the lettering together and also use items from each cartridge that you own….. yet this is not enough… what every crafty user wants is to be able to cut any TRUE TYPE FONT on their Cricut. Other cutting systems will allow you to cut any font but they are even more expensive (over $1,000 for some cutting systems) than the Cricut. My husband-to-be was searching the Provo Craft forums trying to find a way to cut True Type fonts (he knows I want this) with the Cricut and found a tip from one users. Someone wrote a program for the Cricut and is selling it… this program is called Sure Cuts A Lot. My fiancé bought it for me and sure enough… it will cut any true type font. However it will not shadow or weld but they programmer said that he is working on it and the upgrade will be available to users who have purchased the program already. Because I like to shadow my die cuts… my fiancé found me another program called Inkscape that allows you to make Sure Cuts A Lot files. In this program you can make the shadows for your die cuts. All of this takes a bit more work that just cutting with the Cricut cartridges but it is worth the effort to be able to use any font you want without having to shell out another $60. Also when using the Sure Cuts A Lot program the Cricut slows down taking longer for each cut. Still I’m so excited because I made our invitations, and now when I do a invitation page in my scrapbook I will be able to use the same font that I used in our invites as a page topper.

Does anyone know where to get passport stamps for my invites
sm316217 replied to meltanirie's topic in Random Thoughts
We are making passports right now for my Bridal Shower invites. We have looked all over and here is what we found. For the Passport seal: (You must get rid of the circles using the eraser tool in MS Paint) http://bensguide.gpo.gov/images/icon...seal_front.gif For the Stamp: (use the site design tool) Thank you Jaysgirl for the tip. Design your own card.com: Business cards and more! For the paper: (we searched high and low for a heavy card stock) WorldWin Treasures Deep Blue Textured For the passport paper we scanned in our passport and used the image file to make the pages. If you like, I can email you the files. Our stamp turned out amazing and cost about $35 to have made. We added "Passport" to the top and "To Stacy's Wedding Shower" at the bottom. It really looks great with embossed white. Hope this helps! Stacy -
Best gifts from your registry
sm316217 replied to Maura's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
We registered last week. We registered at Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Khol’s. It was a long process and we were very tired (and hungry) at the end... so we started getting silly. I have to laugh because at Target my fiancé registered for twenty Big Reese Peanut Butter Cups. I just know we will get them all. Also, we registered for a Wii… I would absolutely love to get the Wii. It was hard registering we have most the stuff that would typically be on the list. We often joke that we are registered at Bank One, National City, First Merit, etc… -

Magical Proposal - Disney World!
sm316217 posted a topic in Share your Wedding & Engagement Stories!
I'm sorry this is so long. My fiancé and I both wrote up stories for our wedding website about our engagement. My story was short but what he wrote was much longer. I guess from the planning the proposal side he had more to say. Her Story Everyone knows that I love Disney World, so it was appropriate that Brian popped the question while on our Disney trip. After a wonderful vacation of park hopping, on our last day Brian decided that we should drive around Disney property. He surprised me by stopping at the Disney Wedding Pavilion. I was excited because I always wanted to see where Disney Weddings took place and I was thinking it was nice of him to indulge me. Our trip was at its end and I had forgotten about any possibility of a proposal so I didn’t suspect a thing. He took me to this beautiful photo spot with an arch of vines that framed Cinderella’s Castle in the back ground. I loved it and immediately wanted to take our picture standing in front of it. After finding someone to take our photo, he started walking up the few steps to join me at the photo spot, but instead he got down on one knee and asked “Will you Marry Me?” I started crying and didn’t stop. I grabbed the ring out of the box and put it on my own finger without any of his help. I guess you could say I was a little eager. Between all the tears I managed to mutter my answer “yes.” As a little girl I dreamed of being proposed to in front of Cinderella’s Castle. My very own Prince Charming made my dream come true on September 29th, 2007. It was truly magical. His Story The quest for the future It started with me, having the ring. This was an easy task because Stacy had already been scouring the Akron-Canton area in search of her perfect ring. To make a long story short, she did find it and gave me all the information. Regardless of the price, I felt that I got off pretty cheap considering that the guesswork was eliminated. I really wondered if my choice would have been good… But, I had her ring and it was perfect. ‘Nuff said. Now, we had planned a short vacation to Disney World (in Florida) for several months, before Stacy had ever seen her ring at the jewelers. And let me tell you, this ol’ boy is thinking that Stacy would love to get engaged in Disney. After all, that is her most favorite thing (and the mouse.) Personally, I’m a Vegas guy, but I have found Stitch to be an interesting character… Anyway, I could tell Stacy was really excited about this trip, in particular, and I was getting strong vibes that she was anticipating a Disney proposal, so I had constantly dodge her and any suggestions to getting a ring or a proposal. But, first things first, I needed to ask permission from Sam, Stacy’s father. The future in-laws are an extremely excited and emotional group of people (bless their hearts.) So, I figured they could keep the secret for a few days, 2 weeks tops. But beyond that, I thought it was too great of a thing to not talk about and a secret would not really last. So, the day before the trip, I went over to the future in-laws' after work. It was easy because Stacy had taken that day vacation and I was naturally “just finishing up some work.” I asked permission and they were like, “yeah, what took you so long, boy?” We talked about what I planned to do and we were all so excited and I can remember thinking, “Glad I’m popping the question in only a couple days.” The plan was to get down on my knee in front of the Castle in the Magic Kingdom after the firework show. With the lights on the castle, it would really make it romantic, and of course, that always means extra kudos for me! We were planning on going to the Magic Kingdom Wednesday after the Animal Kingdom. The stage was set, the weather was looking good, and all my supporters were psyched up and ready for phone calls… Tuesday was awesome. The dreaded travel day went so smooth. We got an SUV upgrade from an Economy car for free (because they didn’t have anything less and I didn’t fall for the “would you like to upgrade to a Mustang or SUV?”.) The hotel room was absolutely immaculate. The sun was shining. It was sure looking to be a great couple days. On Wednesday, I secretly had the ring in my backpack while we waited for the bus, trying to save a miserable $10 for parking… Let me tell you, this bus service was terrible. It took us over an hour to get to the Magic Kingdom from the Animal Kingdom, which was after the bus arrived to pick us up. And the weather was only so-so. It had already rained on us at the Animal Kingdom and showers were still expected. However, our spirits were still high, because hey, this was Disney, the happiest place on Earth. The good thing about rain is that it clears out the crowds. We saw the “rain effect” when we went for character greetings with Mickey Mouse. Stacy loves the Mickey and we had the room all to ourselves! We took several pictures and I even think Stacy was flirting with him. Kisses were recklessly flying around. Later, I recalled thinking that it would have been awesome to have Mickey present the ring while I proposed. But, we were still on with the castle. We kicked butt that day. We saw everything we wanted to see at two parks. The bad news was that by early evening, we were beginning to feel it. The crowd was big enough that we were worried that somebody would inadvertently take out one of our knees. The big disappointment was that the fireworks didn’t start until 9PM, when the park closes. The plan was to let the park empty itself and then pop the question. Then we would high-tale it for the bus. But that pathetic bus system had us worried because the last bus came back at 11PM. I really thought we wouldn’t have time to make it. So we left before the fireworks. I was frustrated. Stacy took it good, but I could tell she was disappointed. I had one day left in the parks, but it would have to be either MGM or Epcot. I checked online while Stacy was out of the room. There wasn’t much romance in either of these places. My best hope was that Italy, in the World Showcase of Epcot, had some ride where you would be in a small boat, like in the real Vienna. No such thing. I conceded to asking after Fantasmic, the spectacular show at MGM. In the middle of all this, Stacy was receiving 3-4 phone calls a day from various family members. She claimed that is perfectly normal, but I knew better. We had some anxious people on our hands. So naturally, every time she talked to somebody, I was worried somebody would slip. But everybody was able to hold on. It’s Friday, our last park day. I’ve been carrying this ring around for 3 days now. The phone’s been ringing off the hook. I’m desperate. This is not going according to plan. Because MGM and Epcot are notoriously lame in terms of romance, I was inconspicuously trying to get Stacy to go back to the Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately, we found that the Magic Kingdom closes at 7PM that day. We were stuck at MGM, watching Fantasmic. After the show, we let the amphitheatre clear out and we were close to the last people left in the park. My desperation move was to ask in the street with Mickey’s sorcerers hat in the background. It was far from anything that resembled any kind of dreams or hopes. I couldn’t do it and call myself a romantic, yet alone hold my head up. So I kept the ring secure… At this point, I was drowning in desperation. We were leaving the following afternoon and I was still carrying around this ring. To make matters worse, Stacy was still getting calls. The heat was on. I had made up my mind that I was not leaving Florida without asking Stacy, even if it was going to be in the airport. In the past, we have talked about staying at one of the exclusive hotels on Disney property. Hotels like the Polynesian, the Yacht Club, or the Floridian. So I made Stacy get up early for a “preview of hotels” for our future trip to Disney. She was excited for that, however, little did she know, I had a comeback plan. On the way to the Polynesian Resort, we inconceivably drove by a wedding pavilion. Since we had openly talked about destination weddings before, it was a perfect excuse to say “Hey, let’s check this place out.” Behind the pavilion was this beautiful archway of vines and flowers extending from an altar. And through the archway was Cinderella’s castle at the Magic Kingdom! Stacy loved the view and it was perfect. She was going to take a picture when I said, we should get the cleaning lady we saw at the entrance and ask if she could take our picture. I went to get the lady and showed her my plan. After giving the cleaning lady a crash course on instant photography, I walked up to the altar, where Stacy was standing. Instead of going up, I went down on my knee and popped the question. Yes, Stacy was crying, but she managed to mutter a “yes” somewhere between the sniffles. While I was in Stacy’s arms, I heard the cleaning lady hooting or cheering. I really didn’t understand her anyway (she had broken English), but I felt like Franco Harris after his Immaculate Reception. As crazy as it seemed, I really think this actually turned out better than I originally planned. Although the everything at that moment was perfect, it really didn’t matter because the real perfection was knowing that we would be spending our lives together. -
My fiancé and I are planning on getting married on the MAIRINER OF THE SEAS in October 2008 while in port in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We plan on getting married in the ship’s chapel. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with getting married on a Royal Caribbean cruise, particularly one of the super ships that have a chapel that holds 40 people…. If so, how did it go? It is a bit overwhelming because most of the items are being controlled by the Royal Caribbean and their wedding planners… like time of wedding, and place of wedding (I’m told that we won’t be told that we have the chapel until three to four weeks before we cruise). As you may be able to tell, I’m a bit nervous about it all but I’m committed now financially. Still it would be nice to have reassurance from a bride that has been where I’m at now.

Here is my dilemma…. We are having a cruise ship wedding and we have several guests coming. We sent out invitations now, the cruise is in October. We were trying to eliminate costs by having a simple wedding but now the families who can not attend the wedding are upset so we are now having a hometown reception. We have a wedding website and we are having people RSVP to the wedding and hometown reception on it. I still think for the reception we need formal invitations sent to everyone that is invited and RSVP reply cards (not everyone has the internet to RSVP on the web). My fiancé thinks that this is a waste of money. I’m worried that if we don’t send the formal invitations 3 months before the reception and reply cards that we aren’t going to get an accurate count for the reception hall. The costs are getting high… and the US Post Office is going to love me this year. I just don’t know what to do. I already sent invites out for the cruise with a “Save the Date†for the reception. Do you think it is necessary to send new invites out for the reception? Not everyone on the guest list for the reception was invited formally to the cruise. So much postage... new invites, reply cards. What is a girl to do?

Personal Wedding Website

We used ewedding.com and love our site. Good Luck! -
I can totally relate. I’m doing the boarding pass invites right now and me and my future hubby are printing and cutting them out. It takes like 32 cuts with the paper cutter and corner cutter. I’m going crazy but they look so cute. I love them but it has really been stressful. I’m wondering why I went with home made invites now.

Hello everyone! This is exciting stuff. We are planning our destination wedding now. So much to do so much to learn... I hope you all can help. Thanks in advance! Stacy
