  1. Ah ,oh!! Thanks Tammy for the info!!! We have previously used Frontline with no problems for fleas/ticks, but it doesn't get heartworms. Recently, we have been using Revolution which is flea/tick/heartworm prev all in one, so far no probs there either, is an all-in-one product so more convenient (but not recommended for large dogs). Seems like each company tries to come out with its own version of other products, this ProMeris is relatively new on the market. Haven't tried it, since we had good luck with the revolution so far. Glad you passed on this info, thanks again for looking out for our critters!!
  2. Aww, look at those tired lil faces, so cute!! Wow, this looks just like any given night at my house, except replace your 2 beagley babies with my cats & my furniture's dark green instead of tan. I get that same look too, like "how dare you got up! I was comfy here on your lap!" So spoiled aren't they? Don't think we'd have it any other way though, they've got us trained pretty darn good! Wish we had that petsmart hotel here, looks like a nice place, thanks for sharing!
  3. So pretty, I agree! Love that brooch detail, gives it such sparkle!
  4. Oh yeah, guilty as well here...I love to watch me some wedding shows! Some of my fav's are: "Say Yes to the Dress" (those dress prices...hollly cow!), "Bulging Brides", "Bridezillas", "Platinum Weddings", & "Rich Bride/Poor Bride" too. Gotta love Sunday nights, tons o' wedding shows on! And I agree about "Wedding Story", it was unique back then & I loved it, but now it's dated & kinda corny/sappy. But, "back then" it was all we had! lol We're so spoiled now with all our current choices, huh?
  5. So excited, we officially booked our DW! We chose Couples Negril, Jamaica. Our date is November 6th @ 3 pm. Finally feeling more real, SO glad this major part is done! Now, just those little "minor" (lol) details to do...such as picking a dress, shoes, hairstyle, bridesmaid dress, getting guests to commit/pay deposit, truly decide if they're going, etc, etc, etc..... Huge weight though is lifted, at least I know my FI and I will be there for sure, and guess that's all we need, huh? You ladies have been soo great, all this info, ideas, etc. So lucky to have found this site.
  6. Awwww....what a great and thoughtful gift. Sounds like you got a great group of girls for BM's!
  7. Wow, this thread is soo interesting! Very cooll! I am a cytotechnologist at a medical diagnostic laboratory. I screen and analyze slides of patients' cells under a microscope and look for cancerous changes and other abnormalities that might be there. I like my job for the most part, it can be stressful and it can get monotonous at times. But, we provide valuable information for patients and their doctors waiting on test results that could potentially save someone's life and that makes me feel pretty darn good
  8. Yari...I loved your post quoting "Jenny from the Block",I laughed out loud., too funny! However, the song is now lodged in my head for the night.....
  9. Ummm...this girl's going to google.com right now...lol
  10. OMG I cant believe you guys all watch this show! Yay! I usually watch it but have missed the last few episodes. Now there's somewhere to discuss/analyze/bitch,etc, etc. It's kind of my 'dirty lil secret', cuz I hate to admit that I do watch it but I love it! My sister makes fun of me for watching this show and I make fun of her for watching "So you think you can dance" lol
  11. Poor girl, definite a future episode of "True Hollywood Story" for sure, doomed from the start. And..last I checked it was 2008, not 1958, "..honored to have Cash's baby" Seriously??
  12. I vote for #2. You look so happy with a sort of "glow" in your #2 dress pic compared to others. The others are pretty also. #1 is very "beachy" too. Gosh, I wish I was as tiny as you...so jealous!!
  13. My vote's for dress #1. As the others have said, it's both "beachy" and elegant. Both are gorgeous, but the first is more destination-y IMO, but of course the right one for you is the one you feel best in.
  14. I LOVE my Bare Minerals makeup. I've been using it for about year and a half or so. The first time I used it was when I got my makeup done for my sister's wedding. She was a professional makeup artist and she said that is all she uses. As far as photography with mineral makeup, I thought my skin looked the best it ever had with this makeup and the photos looked great IMO. I didn't notice any reflections on mine or my sister's faces & we both got our makeup done by her. So..after that I ordered my own and like I said, I love it. As far as other mineral makeup goes, once I had forgotten my makeup when I had to go out of town for work. I ran over to Wal-Mart and bought another's version of mineral foundation. It was horrible, very orangey (and I'm very fair skinned), didn't blend well, yuck. So, in the end as with everything, you get what you pay for. Sephora would be a great place to go in and have them help you. I ordered mine off the TV deal and it gets auto-delivered. Either way, I give it thumbs up. Good luck, hope my long story helps...
  15. Love that Ecofetti info. Great idea, gonna look into it--thanks ladies!
  16. I saw this Sandframe idea somewhere (maybe here, not sure?) and it looked kinda neat so I bookmarked it. Different twist on the sand ceremony. Then you have a permanent keepsake & might be a tad easier to transport back home vs the glass containers. I think the cost is around $50.00. I don't know anyone who has ordered one, but it looked interesting to me. Here's the link if interested: Sandframes | Custom frames with a touch of class
  17. Me too, Danielle, me too!!! I wanna be your bridesmaid! If someone can't make it......hehehehe! Your wedding party is going to score, lucky ducks! Seriously, you are so thoughtful!
  18. Great list, I way appreciate you posting it! Unfortunately, I live by lists & can't function without them. So many things to bring..arrrggghhh! Thanks again!
  19. Brittany thanks for sharing those pics with us. They were beautiful, sexy and really tastefully done. Love those outfits you picked too, so cute! Where did you get them? Like one of the other girls, I'm too chicken myself, so I will just live vicariously through others !
  20. Wow, thanks so much ladies! You guys are so great, man I love this site!! We are probably going to go with Couples Negril because there's another resort, Riu Tropical Bay right next door that guests who dont want to/cant afford Couples can stay. Travel agent suggested that one. Might work out the best, so we'll see. Hard to please everyone, & Ihave to keep reminding myself that this is MY wedding after all. I will try to accomadate (sp?) my guests the best I can within reason, of course.
  21. I just got my starfish (already) yesterday 22nd, I just ordered on the 17th. So cute, I got the blue one since I will be using turquoise blue for wedding color.
  22. I read some very unflattering reviews on tripadvisor.com regarding this company. One of the reviewers in particular on there had MAJOR problems with them and said so on the site. Now of course this is one person's opinion, but then others chimed in on their bad experiences as well. Think some of those reviews are removed from the website now, but from what I read I wouldn't use them myself either. Just my 2 cents...
  23. Hey there Tara. As far as the puppy piddling goes, I would tend to agree with the other previous posts. I was a vet assistant for past 16 yrs, not full-time anymore, but I still fill in as needed. Anyway, this is pretty common. Like some of the girls mentioned, it's probably due to the spay surgery. The bladder can get a little irritated during the surgery because of its location so close to the uterus. When it does, they tend to have this problem, or turn up with a UTI which is another reason for the piddles as others suggested. So, if it's still going on in a few days would prob be best to take her in for a urinalysis. That's what the vets I work for would tell a client to do. Also, if you aren't feeling comfortable with your current vet, certainly get a second opinion and find someone you trust more. long post again darnit..sorry
