I ZUMBA every week!!! Its so fun!!!! Ive lost 3 lbs in a week! lol Realistically its not just from Zumba but you usually will burn about 400-600 calories per hour. I missed my class today but I go back on Friday! We call it monkey see monkey do... you just follow along. It will be helpful to know the salsa move first. You got to move your hips! I say try it first!

Sounds silly - but I feel like the "good hair" lable is not so good for the kids (especially girls) with more texture... Do you think I am crazy? We also have kids books about hair... Agree... it makes one sound better than the other... as if everyone else has bad hair. Like my FI says - IT JUST HAIR! I just dont like to go there with the good hair thing... it really bugs me. -
I so feel your pain! I refuse to go natural curly. My hair is pretty spirally! I want it to be curly but not so tightly curled. I am considering blow drying and flat iron. I was going to add extensions to give it more length because curly hair looks so short and I want it long. If you want to do something dramatic, I think you should either have it rolled in Gigantic rollers or blow dried to get the curls out and style it from there. If you want to wear it curly I say pull it back in a cute updo. BTW, I love your curls!

These are some styles I really like: And this is the make-up look that I'm going for, I rarely wear eyeliner but I think it looks extra dramatic: Girl, you dont need to do a weave if you are doing an updo like that. Your hair is pretty and a great length. How many days are you going to be at your Destination before the wedding? If a few days, I recommend not getting it too wet. Go ahead and wash and set or wash and blow dry before and then have the girl at the salon do an updo. They should have no problems. And I dont think you are going to have much issues about frizz that a good hot flat iron wont fix! -

I went to Micheals Arts and Craft shop this summer and bought them. They are called tags and they come in different sizes. I bought ribbon and these little hearts from the wedding section. I was playing around in Fireworks (like an adobe photoshop) and made monogram stickers. I didnt like the way they came out so I am scrapping them.

Should I be worried or just relax and assume that they know what they are doing? I can go the day before to get a trial done, but that appointment is only for 30 minutes, I never get my hair done in less than 2 1/2 hours. If you have curly hair you will understand that once my hair is dry it can't be combed or brushed b/c that just makes it bigger and bigger so they can't just play around with different styles! I will post a pic later to show you what i mean. My hair has to be roller set to do anything. I'm going to do a relaxer on my edges before I go and take pictures of styles I like but I'm still stressing about looking like a fuzz ball on my day. Is anyone else concerned? How do you want your hair? Straight or Curly? I say blow dry it before you go and let them do the styling. I would be nervous too. do the trail run and see how it comes out! OMG I just read the previous post... I am so sorry I freakin hijacked your thread! So Sorry! <---- me -
Question for fellow black brides Re: hair plans

Im having the same problem!!! I have been planning my hairstyle for over 3 months now!!! SERIOUSLY!! I am so glad you posted this and so glad that I have someone to talk to about this! OMG!! IM FREAKING JUST THINKING OF IT! Can I vent? When I visited the states last December I was researching the fusion form of extentions.... I have NEVER had extensions. (Its full and grows super fast. I tend to cut it whenever I get tired of it. So now Im growing it.) Anyways, I didnt get any weave because 1. Im scared and 2. It wouldnt last until August 3. I wouldnt have anyone in Japan to take it out for me So I resorted to researching clip ins.... Okay sounds like a good idea right? Maybe. I figured, I can do a run through before Fiji and once I make it there put them in for the ceremony or just get them done before but I am like you guys.. What about the water issue? Really, whoever heard of going to Fiji and not snorkeling and if I do TTD then I will get it wet and wet hair is sexy! Anyways, I found this lady online - shes really not helpful but she has HUMAN CLIP INS ....The Best Easy Custom Celebrity Clip in Clip on Hair Extensions Its expensive but she has hair for both caucasian and kinky texture. I sent her a photo and she sent me a link to order from (it was caucasion hair) ... then I ordered a sample, and she sent me a different sample (I think African American straight) ... I was pretty confused by then. My FI said the sample was was not my hair texture so I cut off a sample of my hair and sent it to her and she comes back today with a link to curly weave! AHHHH I dont want my hair curly. I planned on blowdrying it straight! Im thinking its a problem I have because I mentally dont want to have caucasian hair! lol Even though I am 1/2 Asian I consider myself Black and maybe I am in denial of having "good hair" -I just dont like that term or being considered to be in that category because like India said, "I am not my hair." Is it me? OH yeah on top of that the lady at hair conspiracy.com said that it would be over 300 dollars to get it matched!!! OMG That is Freaking Ridiculous. Now I think she is trying to get over! What do you think? My hair just wont grow in time to be the length I wanted it to be. What should I do? Hey girls lets get another thread and post photos of possible hairstyles for us! Im not at home so when I get home I want to post a picture of how I want my hair and why I need extentions to make it happen. Anyhow, thanks for letting me vent! I feel much better! -
Thanks! I love your mag. You guys might want to send it to the Miltiary Stores out of country! I can only get yours in the states.

No, my FI makes fun of my dad. I think if we lived near my parents, he would just hang around him long enough to laugh at him... My Dad is a total RETARD!! Hes so strange and annoying.

I sent mine out over a week ago! It should be in the country... now we must wait for their post office... and we wait... and wait...

It would add a little more color I think. Or you can do a nice ribbon with little jewel starfish... (kinda like the ones on the bouqet)
