I would just make sure that the pictures you are looking at come from the photographer that is actually going to be shooting your wedding. Try getting into the contract the name of the photographer you are hiring as well as the name of who the replacement would be if the primary photographer couldn't make it. I just recently saw a thread of a bride in PV that was very sad because she got sent somebody else who didn't do a good job. With regards to your question about Dreams marking up the photographer fees I think it can go either way: - It could be that the photographer offers a special rate to the resort so that they can mark it up and offer you the same price the photographer would give you directly, or - The resort plainly marking up the photographer services. The best way to find out is to ask the question directly to your contact at Dreams. That way you make up your mind about doing the negotiations yourself opposed to letting Dreams do the leg work for you. Wish you the best!

Hi! By reading the thread I am assuming they don't have the "day pass" policy, am I right? I can't see other reason than monetary (having a deal with their "retained" photographer at Sandals) for the policy. Thus, has anybody asked to pay a fee to bring the bride's preferred vendor?
