Hey Ladies. Just catching up on my BDW fix and this thread caught my eye since I'm also in the area. I'm in the Columbia area and was married recently. I know some of you are still looking for dresses and there is a consignment shop in Rockville that a girlfriend vouches for having amazing dresses; I Do I Do Wedding Gowns (622 Hungerford Dr., Rockville; 301-762-4464; by appointment), which has more than 600 dresses, from Vera Wang to David’s Bridal. Only gowns less than a year old are considered, unless a gown is an unusual size. Gowns are discounted 25 to 50 percent off original retail; if the dress sells, the money is split between the shop and the consigner. Dresses that don’t sell within 18 months are returned to the consigner. Just another option. Also, a get together would be great. July 27-August 9 is Howard County Restaurant week http://www.howardcountyrestaurantweek.com/, if you are still looking for places.

Best foundation etc for photos

I tried the MUFE HD and I was a grease pit. I'm oily and use Obagi. I would love to use LM, but I always end up needing two shades to mix to get my shade...way expensive. MAC breaks me out too. I'll just keep reading and see if any other rec. pop up. -
My wedding planing so far :) *pic heavy*

Everything looks great. I love your dress. It was actually one of my runner-up dresses. I'm wishing I had chosen it because I will be soo hot in the one I now have. Do you mind telling me where you found your ring bearer's shirt? It's exactly what I'm looking for. -

JessbGauvin- That's great news! I'm jealous you finished your plans so quickly. I've been planning for KW since August and I'm still not finished..arghh... Have a great wedding. We will be down May 21st, the day after your wedding. Go to Captain Tony's and have the punch for me..it's my most fav. drink in KW. Hang in there May brides.

My heart is breaking as I write this e-mail and I guarantee that it won't be my last. I am officially canceling my mexican wedding. I can not deal with the phone calls, e-mails, texts, fights, tears and not knowing what do do feeling anymore. Since the level was raised to 5 it has given us no reason to believe that we can still count on going anymore. There are too many people concerned and we don't want to do it without the 46 people that have committed to going with us. Pushing is also not an option because of the time lost by being a freelancer due to the wedding and the money would be greater if we wait and do it at another time. I just can't afford to go through the lack of work again and also can't guarantee that we could find a date that would work for everyone again. Our plan B is to goto Key Largo in the Florida Keys because it would give us a beautiful beach, weather, sunset and ability to put everyone at the same hotel thus creating the weekend environment that we had planned in Mexico, as I have said from the beginning it isn't about the wedding day it is about the whole trip and time spent with everyone which we would lose if we do it here in LA. I am still going to bring my Mexican Fiesta Koozies and gift bags that say May 15th even though I am now getting married on May 16th and I am still doing my starfish and chair bows and fans and having our friend do our ceremony so I know that I can end up with a very special weekend but just not what I wanted. If I wanted to do it this way I would have from the start..... That being said I need to find a way to get over the loss and move on with the new plan. I told my Fiance that since we aren't doing Mexico we ARE doing a honeymoon even if its got to be paid on a credit card. We are planning to hit Hawaii for a week which I am hoping will make up for some of the things I lose out on in Mexico. As I said I will still keep coming on here and checking in because I have gotten used to all of your support as well as the feeling of just getting to vent to people who actually can relate to me so I thank you all for listening and for your continued support. For those of you who are in a similar situation I hope that you can also find a way to make the best of the situation because though it SUCKS it is still your wedding and its now part of your journey in life, its up to you to make it special and move on from it... thats what I keep telling myself anyway.... Here is my new hotel Key West Hotels & Resorts Gardens Hotel Key West Hotels we have stayed there before. It really is very lovely. We'll get married on Smathers Beach. To those of you who are going forward with your Mexican weddings I admire your temerity and strength. So, my next thread will be: FS: 45 mint tins with "Jessica and Paul, May 20, 2009, Cozumel, Mexico" Any takers? Ladies, I've been following this thread for a while now, but due to so much going on have not been able to contribute with much. I just want to say I feel for all of you who have to go through the stress of changing everything because of this pandemic. I quoted the two above because I am getting married in Key West and I want you to know you and your guest will have a wonderful time. I know it must be hard to imagine your dream wedding else where and I don't know what I would do if they shut down the Keys. My heart goes out to all of you.

I read on the website that the original formula is not good for tanning beds because the mineral oil messes up the acrylic on the beds. Safflower oil is not supposed to mess things up.

What do you think of this Favor?
luckygirl replied to Lillie09's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I think it's a great idea. I was going to do that until I looked at my empty photo albums and figured some people may be like me. I think I'm going to give some special ones to those people that I know print out pics....like my fmil. -
So after reading this I ran to Ulta after class and they have Maui Babe. The same bottle that I just ordered from Amazon that was fulfilled by Maui Babe co. and cost $21 + $5 s/h was $13.50 in Ulta Oh well. But, I did use it in the medium turbo stand up tanner and I am definitely darker. I read that there is one for tanning beds but it was more expensive and I do not lie down on the beds anyway. All the positive feedback made me run out and buy and I'm glad I did! Thanks guys!

I just bought one too, but off of Amazon. The shipping on Maui Babe's website was over $30 for a $49 order...yikes!
