  1. That blows- they are going to have to change their name now too. ~~
  2. I saw bags, seagrass, today that I knew our guests would love. Problem is, I have already two other sets of OOT bags. The first, cloth bags, is too small for all our stuff and, even though I still like the second set, plastic, I think they might be too big. I don't know what to do!!!! ~~
  3. For my OOT bags, I will have several odds and sods that I want to put into organza bags. However, I think it would be kind of boring using the same colour ones. What do you think about using different colours and possibly a bag that is larger size [we want to put Mexican Hot Sauce in that bag]? We are thinking that maybe using our wedding colours: green, turquoise, and wine burgundy would look a little funky but not overbearing. Or am I showing how stressed I am getting by worrying over something as silly as the colour of organza bags. LoL. ~~
  4. No, no, I like the first one too. My sister caught me not smiling, then she didn't bother to take another picture. I can't edit the post for some reason, so I will attach a picture here without my face. LoL. I really like them both. but I think I'm bias right now because the first one is too big, so it doesn't fit properly and so I feel somewhat uncomfortable in it. However, I can easily get that fixed. Plus, it's hard because I'm not at my goal weight yet, so the dresses will look very different once I reach that. It might be me bringing both dresses down. ~~

So I looked around, and I found Renji, the calprit. Then, he decided it would be fun to get his twin in on the action. He talked Ichigo into dragging the scratting cardboard pad across my freshly vaccumed floor. Then Ichigo, realizing he had been caught, took refuge beside Dad's hockey equipment. Baby Toed watched the action from ontop of his new favourite bed: the receiver. That's my story. ~~
  6. My second dress arrived today in the mail. I'm so excited. I tried it on with my first dress, and I think that I like the second dress better. When I put it on, it just feels pretty good. Ofcourse, it's hard to think of what it will look like on the beach, and me 20 pounds lighter, but I think that it will work. My sister took the pictures and she has this habit of making things look distorated. For example, in some of the pictures, you can see my Mom's flower coach, it's looks super small and like I'm standing very far away from it, while in reality, I was only standing about 3 feet away from it. The pictures make me look very wide and short, while I'm actually 5'8 and a size 12. I really like both the dresses and [both] look amazing, but the second one looks stunning and I feel very comfortable in it. The first one I really like as well, but everyone is thinking that it might be a little too formal for my personal style. Plus, I feel like I could possible "fall out of it". I'm thinking that once I get closer to my goal weight, and have a conversation with my seamstress, then I might make a decision. My first dress [it's really too big]: My second dress [the straps are detachable, I had them up because the dress kept falling down without them on]: I really like this picture, LoL!!!! What do you girls think? I couldn't wait to show you all!!!! ~~
  7. I bought mine from Ardene's. They aren't real pashminas, fake ones, but I really like the colours. ~~
  8. I have so much stuff still to do!!!! I can't believe how I have put off so much. Here is my list of things to make still: finish glueing on seashells to candle holders "taste of home" bags thank you tags place setting tags seating arrangement menues tags to go on fans and pashminas table numbers welcome books: guest list, wedding day activities, welcome cocktail information, spanish translations, word search, sudoko, quiz, group activities, plus some more things need to make shoeless sandals bouqet starfish dress fittings Need to buy still: lanterns a few more pashminas items for welcome bags monogram travel mugs lengerie table number holders Plus, I still have homework and marking to do!!!! Oh, and almost forgot, need to do our legal wedding here too!!!! Good thing this semester is over at the beginning of December. ~~
  9. I just emailed Claudia and asked her. I also sent along pictures of what we are wanting, to see if Barcelo would do it. ~~
  10. That's crazy that we have picked out the same place settings. Are you doing a mixture of all 4 or just one particular setting? ~~
  11. Well girls, just registered at the Bay and Sears. We registered for very expensive dishes, the plates are almost $40.00 each!!!! Way too much money, but we are "told" that we need some sort of fancy place settings. We don't think that we will get the entire set, but even a few pieces to start. I registered for the breadmaker [we only eat bread on Friday or Saturday suppers; weight watchers are us] so it will be an extra treat. Plus the mixer and a few other odds and sods, like towels. I'm excited to go to Bowring for the sparkly items on Friday. Here is a link to what the plates look like. We are asking for 4 sets of each designer, equalling 16 settings [Francis and I entertain often]. In the dots, stripes, black, and gray. ~~
  12. Oh, by the way, I absolutely love your picture of your kitty-cat. I think that I have said that before too. I have four, and they all love to play in the sink, plus the toilet. The newest thing at the moment- our one cat "dunks" his play mice in the toilet, leaving puddles everywhere and wet gross mice laying around. ~~
  13. We aren't telling anyone about our legal day. We just plan on going down [where ever we go] on a Friday afternoon, then go out for supper and maybe a movie or drinks afterwards. Nothing to big. We haven't even picked out a day yet, need to get on that. ~~
  14. Hopefully two weeks late because we are staying for two weeks. LoL. ~~
  15. I don't see why not, but mind you, I don't know. Might have to google that. I have bananas in my freezer that need to be turned into banana bread. Monkey bread is like cinnamon buns, but instead it is little balls of dough with all the gooey goodness over them. Then, you bake in in a big pile, and when you eat it, you just pull the little dough balls off. It's so yummy. ~~
  16. Thankfully, it's not excessively bad but I bloat like crazy. Like how freaking shitty is this? Even if it came earlier and I had the tail end of it when we first arrive, frack, it sucks being a woman. ~~
  17. Oh, I saw a breadmaker today and I did write it down on my list. My Dad always makes bread out of the breadmaker and there is nothing like it. We don't eat a lot of bread, to many carbs, but making monkey bread out of a bread maker is amazing. It's one of those things that on a Sunday morning, when I'm up at 6:00a.m. doing homework, I could get it started, and Francis could wake up to the smell of fresh bread and coffee. Sounds yummy to me. ~~
  18. To agree with Rachel, there are many resorts that have the "stay at one for x amount of days, stay at another for x amount of days". I suggest that you talk to a TA that focuses in Mexico and Cozumel. My suggestion, because you said you are from the T.O. is to talk to TA Lindsay on here. She is from Regina, but she is amazingly smart, gifted, and the friendlist person you will ever work with. Her company works with people all across Canada. Our TA is one of her co-workers and we have had nothing but good vibes and positive results working with her. ~~

See, that is what I'm thinking that I might try, but would that work with me just starting the pill? I need to make a doctor's appointment as soon as possible. ~~
  20. I would just take it to small claims court. You have the dresses still, so you have proof of her shitty workmanship. Next, you have her poorly written letter [shame on her- I wanted to take out my red pen and mark that sloppiness] about how she said that she will pay you. Her going into emotional crap does not mean that she is off the hook for not paying you. It's an excuse. She owes you the money. Call you phone company, ask for your phone records [to show how many times you "actually" called her]. It's a shut/closed case and the judge will laugh it out of court and side with you. If she doesn't have the money, the Justice will just garnish her wages. ~~
  21. Aunt Flow is arriving in Mexico two days before my wedding. What the hell do I do? Here's the story: because of the fertility testing that we are undergoing, the doctors told me to stay off of the pill, because then my hormones will be all different, and I would have to wait about 3 months after being taken off the pill to continue the testing. I should have had this last test many months ago, but after the last miscarriage, I couldn't bring myself to go and get it done, it was just way to hard. We don't really want to wait until 3 months after the wedding, because Francis is leaving for work about 2 weeks after we get back and he will be in Ontario and Alberta for about 5 months or so, so I don't want to go through the testing without him. I will though, but I don't know if I start the pill now, if it will have corrected my cycle by the wedding. I don't want AF when I'm in Mexico either, because that will just suck. My schedule wasn't suppose to fall on the wedding either, but the last miscarriage change my cycle dates around. What should I do? I'm thinking to go on the pill, but at the same time, I don't want to have to wait for the fertility testing. I need to make an appointment with my doctor and talk to her about this. ~~
  22. Congrats!!!! I think that the idea of sending out an annoucement and postponing note is a very cute idea. I'm sorry to hear about your past miscarriage; try not to let that scare you with this little baby. If you need anyone to talk to, feel free to pm me. Once again, congrats!!!! ~~
  23. I think getting married first is a pretty common practice. It seems like a lot of people do it that way. ~~
  24. Oh a popcorn maker is very much needed. When Francis and I first got together, I was a very frugal person, so we bought the cheapest popcorn maker possible. Now, whenever I make popcorn, I have to hold a tea towel around the bowl so that the popcorn doesn't fly all over the place. It's very much a funny sight to see. Today, when we were pre-planning at Home Outfitters, we saw a creme brule blow torch- which we have both decided will be going on our registry, mainly because that is Francis' favourite dessert and because my theory is that everyone needs to own a blow torch for the kitchen. ~~
